We have not come across a lot in our area, but when we do they seem to be bad wrecks involving role overs or bad T-Bones. We dont stop for just fender benders, only if life is in danger.
Any luck finding a good routing point from under the hood through the firewall for wires? I found a plastic cap that should provide access in the drivers footwell but I'm unsure how it detaches.
since the HD towing package came with the wires, it has one set in the foot well and on in the engine bay already. due to that, i was not looking for a hole to pass wires through.
Rick Frank you could use the standard wig way devices to make the front lights flash, but honestly with the price and size of newer led lights I would suggest adding lights instead of going into factory wiring since the new systems are so advanced with electrical systems.
Aj Phillips tikifilm gotcha. Ive seen people put a 8 module feneix traffic advisor stick on the back outside the rear window, so do you think realistically the new Feneix Arrow Board would fit without sticking out from the top or sides?
not sure on that one, We have soft tops and honestly have never even looked at that as an option since this is a daily driver and have put lights on to self protect for a few minutes versus actually trying to direct traffic. That bar just seems like a lot of light / space for what is really needed.
Aj Phillips yes. It is. I think if it as just a more lighting to keep from getting rear ended that also happens to double as a traffic advisor. This jeep has the traffic advisor just without the arrows on both ends. ua-cam.com/video/Dbl8xnhiaLA/v-deo.html
Juno Wilson Kinda, if you are a supervisor in the volunteer dept (I am paid full time) you can, but like I mentioned, this vehicle is not a response vehicle. It is a daily driver that has rolled up on bad scenes and just needs lights long enough for a on duty responder to arrive. For that reason I only have lights to the rear as to warn and protect my vehicle and myself when helping for the few minutes until the others arrive and I leave.
I will have to check when i get home tonight, but i just used a voltmeter and located the reverse plug inside the 7 pin and followed it out the back side. It will be the big one in the center.
great video like the set up
have you ever notice when off duty you come across more scenes

Good video thanks for posting. How did the lights improve the backup camera visibility at night?
It about doubles the visibility, but you will notice the camera picking up the led flicker that is not visible to the eye
Not that you need that many lights, but is there a way to make the front and rear lights flash or wig wag on these new JL’s?

Which wire (color) was the reverse light in the harness?

Aj Phillips Thanks
sorry for the delay, it is the White wire with the orange strip.
Great! Thank you!
