Hi J! If you haven't done a "Live" on UA-cam I would recommend doing a dry run first. There are settings you have input so it works smoothly. Good luck with this draw, everyone, and congrats on 28 video entries. That's pretty awesome, J! See you 8:45EDT Friday!
This is awesome J. I didn't enter because i think that lots of other folks are way more deserving than me of a free guitar. I will be following and on Friday morning I'll be there when you go live. Very exciting and congratulations again!! Keep on rocking out J man!
With 28 entries, that means he spent like - an hour watching us noodle around on bad cell-phone videos. My guitar wasn't even in tune but my wife who took the video wanted it over quickly, she had a grandson in one arm and my phone in the other hand, LOL!
De l'autre côté de l'atlantique, on ne joue pas en raison des frais de port, mais on veut voir la tête des gagnants !! 😄 Et pourquoi pas une petite demo ! Good Luck !
Good luck, everyone. 10am your time is 5am my time. I'll watch to see who won later. Congrats again on growing your channel, and whoever wins will be happy. 🎉
@@timtaylorguitarnut yeah sorry man... I have to do it at 10am as mail leaves by 1 so I need time to communicate with the winner and get down there in time😉
Hey J-Man, I wanted to get a video entered but I failed to get it done by noon on Tuesday. I had thought the expiry was midnight Tuesday and not 12:00pm! It's ok though as I am only a 2 month beginner in southern Ontario and I already have 2 guitars and don't know how to play either so having a 3rd guitar would be a waste on me! Someone else would do better with it. I don't have a tele though :) . As a beginner, my first guitar purchase was a used Epiphone Melody Maker E1 2021 edition LP style and I already replaced the original bridge with one that I can actually adjust intonation and I replaced the stock 14:1 basic tuners with 18:1 locking tuners that are much smoother and don't have any slack and hold tuning much better. Both upgrades were purchased off of Amazon. The second guitar I purchases was also used. It is a 2015 Limited Edition Ibanez RG470 strat style with a natural satin finish and a poplar burl top and an Ibanez double locking tremolo system (floyd rose style). This guitar is way better than the Epiphone. As I watch more and more videos like yours to gain knowledge of how guitar setups work and what is needed to make a guitar playable, one realizes that there is a lot of fun in just setting up these instruments. I suspect many who get into guitars just don't bother to know or they take their guitar to someone and get it done by them and then they still don't know how to maintain it. As a general fix-up kind of guy that I am, I really enjoy tweaking these things and understanding the engineering aspect of how it all works. I actually started to learn how to play drums about 4 years ago and it was a similar process of learning. These are both my retirement projects as I recently retired after a career in IT and did not have time before. I do enjoy your channel and I like your content and with the matter of fact delivery method that you do. I am subscribed and I am slowly going through your videos. Right now as I type on my keyboard, fingers 1,2 and 3 feel funny due to the half developed finger tip calluses I now have! Finger 4 hasn't got much action as I have not learned very many chords yet so no calluses there yet but I am learning the A and G chords now so pinky will get its work out. Congrats to who ever wins a guitar and I will be around for the next give-away when it happens.
@@scottjohnston1028 hey thanks man... Sorry you missed it. Contest was open for 5 days and draw is tomorrow. You are doing it right not just learning to play but how your instrument works mechanically. Good job and nice mods. Cheers!
I didn’t realize it would be random! I assumed I had to have the best video so I didn’t even try! I’ll wish good luck to the other Tims I heard mentioned. I hope someone wins that Musi Virgo, or that you might want to offload it in exchange for a channel donation, if it’s the one you fixed the hum on 😉
@@tenroaches nope many people out there are ne tech Savy like me. Wouldn't be fair to pick the best video. Plus some people can already play and some are just starting their journey... That's why I specified in the original post, just a 2 minute video to tell me a little about your self, how your guitar journey got started, and don't feel you have to play me a riff, but feel free to do so if you like... 😀

That’s not a bad idea! Always a good idea to test a rig before performing live with it.
