Well it happened to me but at Firestone, they were replacing my serpentine belt and it snagged on this hose. They said it was already corroded and it could’ve snapped off at anytime. I was looking for a video of what’s the heck they were telling me because I thought it was under the car but FOUND IT!! I FOUND IT NOW ! thanks brother for this.

my question is what does the overflow hose connect to (underneath the shroud over the engine. mine broke today, just on the other side, so my over flow hose is good still, it the piece that it connects to. any ideas what its called? all diagrams I have found do not have it thanks!
If you follow the line back to the fitting where it attached to the engine I removed that short section and spliced in a short section of flex hose with hose clamps after had to replace plastic fitting at engine, all because that line assembly is on back order with no info on how long it would be on back order. the plastic fittings are available, but be careful the break very easy.
I think the same thing happened to my GL-450 today! Was the coolant all over the engine bay cover and is the fluid like a watery oily mix and odorless?
Please I need your help, i have this Mercedes Gwagon G63. Each time I put water on the radiator coolant tank the water will short, and I have check everywhere there's no leakage. What could the problem please?

how do i find the part number for plastic fitting at engine (small plastic connector) i was looking everywhere but no luck.
