True... he was always 'on' even in the a.m. - i really liked 'the crazy ones' and was sad when it was canceled. But it's nice we can go back to his work and see it all again - it never gets old.
Robin Williams does not look as happy and energized as in his earlier years. Since he died I have felt more sad about him than most celebrities. He had a certain warmth to him which the other ones don't. I really liked him and I never met him.
I agree with you, Andrew. I feel like I lost a great friend. Never met him, but he was so endearing that he made everyone feel close to him. I laugh at these old clips, and then break down crying. Such a loss for all of us -- I sometimes wish that I could have met him and been a friend that could have made a difference. Can't even fathom what his family is going through. Why can't it all just be a bad dream, and we could wake up and he'd still be here. This one hit me really hard, folks. Mak"em laugh in Heaven, Dear Robin... You are missed more than words can say...
His autopsy stated he had Lewy Body Dementia which mimics the memory problems of alzheimer's, the movement problems of Parkinson's and the hallucinations of paranoid schizophrenia. His close friends he wasn't processing things correctly and his motor functions were impaired
@@popland1977 I think it is good that we understand that he struggling mightily, I hate that he had to go through that. He was no coward, he made a decision he felt he had to make and followed through on it seeing for himself only a very bleak future that did not allow him to be himself. He was such a blessing to all of us. His warmth and humanity, outrage at hypocrisy, and his amazing talents and effortless ability to make us laugh. Oh, Robin, I do hope you are happy where you are now, making angels giggle and guffaw, though I suspect you might opt for a second time around ala What Dreams May Come. We miss you so much.
It's amazing how one could be that shining and giving out happiness and laughter to all around him, while he suffers immensely inside! He battled severe depression and was recently admitted into rehab last july. Sad ... he had so much laughter, smiles, and happiness to give out.
I hate to say it but Robin Williams' eyes look tired and almost depleted of life. They gave me the impression that he was in fact struggling very much at this point in time and it is heart breaking. May you finally find your eternal peace.
His wife said he was depressed because no new content was offered to him usually just sequels nothing that challenges him creatively which he really enjoyed
Andrew Jamieson: My guess is that there were probably other things going on too. I think as we can see here, even in the somewhat sad mental state, there still could have been a career reboot. Being that he was so unique, I think if he had a bit more "fire" in him, he would have (and almost would need to) create his OWN Property/character, etc. - whether good TV show/series and/or series of films, etc. He was such a unique personality that I think If he had created some sort of specialized character that can really show off his talents, etc., he could have rebooted his career. But indeed, I think it would almost have to come from HIM (as opposed to some studio suit, etc.) and be very organic TO ROBIN (as he was so wonderfully unique). As a sort of side note, interesting how the character "Mork" - as early as it was in his career - maybe matched who Robin Williams was and could be, as regards utilizing his talents, etc. Almost better than any other character he's ever done. I honestly think that even a reboot of THAT character might not have been a bad idea (maybe a slightly [as regards how old the character Mork was :-] older & wiser version of the Mork we knew and loved.
Robin Williams didn't really show his sadness to people in public. It reminds me of that song Tears of a Clown. He seemed to conceal his demons well to keep everyone happy! God Bless him!
I needed a laugh today and watched this again. I saw this live. Boy he made us all laugh. When I worked early hours, I would make myself stay up to watch him on the late night talk shows. One of a kind.
Even though he was suffering in his private life, Robin still had that infectious smile, that brought a happy feeling to countless people. It's so sad that his personal problems got the better of him. He will be sadly missed. r.i.p. Robin
Rest in Peace Robin. We will always thank you for the good laugh u gave us. You are such a good actor and a good person. You will live forever to all the people who admire and loves you.
I love how he keeps saying 'God bless you' like he said that all the time and i love it so much. God bless you, Robin Williams. If there is a heaven, I hope you are there happy and healthy. Robin really made my childhood special and my life spectacular. He gave us nothing but joy and never asked for anything in return. I really wish CBS hadn't cancelled his show, maybe then he would still be here. I know he had so many illnesses and everything, but still, maybe with a successful show he would at least try to stay a little longer. The world is so much darker without him in it. I can only hope that now he has everything he could ask for
I agree with you partly probably the Parkinson's diagnosis was the start and then those stupid dickheads at cbs cancelling his show really got him rock bottom poor guy :(. The crazy ones was actually not a bad show it was pretty good at least I thought so anyway

It is striking though, how, while some have responded to Robin's suicide with harsh judgement and condemnation, many more have responded with tenderness, compassion, and pleas for God's mercy, especially upon learning how ill he really had been. It befits a man who was known as the "Mother Teresa" of comics, known for innumerable random acts of kindness, never turning down an opportunity to be charitable and who was one of the best humanitarians in Hollywood. In the words of John Lennon, "In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make."
This is so sad for I find Robin so very very subdued and sad here in this interview.....but on a better note I did get a laugh at his socks that was still Robin.....RIP Robin you were greatly loved and now will be greatly missed.....
Mind as sharp as a tack as always! Being 10 years old when Mork and Mindy started, I totally believed him as Mork, I loved him from that time on., and he is missed.
I blame CBS for Robins tragic death. It was a very good show in my opinion, but as Im in the UK I didnt think it was available on UK TV so couldn't watch it. He had a lot riding on it being successful and he still had over 5 MILLION viewers at the end of the season. By then, you must though those viewers are loyal and will continue to watch. It deserved AT LEAST 1 more season and IMO even more. To the people who slagged off The Crazy Ones saying Robin looked exhausted in the episodes.....what do you expect? He was bloody 62/63 years old. Almost an OAP! He acted and looked far younger but you cant expect him to be like he was in Mork and Mindy! Agreed. The show was not the shitzitt but all of us who followed it know the screenplay was being bolstered constantly and gaining momentum, even if the Nielsens are figures and sadly it's all the baboons at CBS can understand. One episode "Sydney, Australia" even caused controversy (remember "Married WIth Children"?) and that's a standard PR move.
From what I have managed to gather from news reports and the like the cancellation of his show coupled with him finding out he had parkinsons and the fact that pre-cancelation he was allready depressed about not getting any challenging roles anymore (he felt his age played a part in this according to his wife from interviews i read), it all kind of culminated that day and I believe in my unprofessional opinion if he had made it through to the morning he would likely have been fine I think it was just a spur of the moment decision to hang himself and unfortunately it worked.
such an amazing show and I loved it and Robin Williams but unfortunately 5 million viewers is not enough for a CBS show nowadays. TBBT has 16-20 million.
Actually the reason why he passed on was because he was suffering from a very fatal disease that would have eventually turned him into a vegetable state. He did not want to die like that and knowing there was no cure put him into such depression that he offed himself before the sickness could get worse. It was very sad and tragic and I wish it didn't have to happen to him he was such a brilliant man.
This is September 26, 2013 and he committed suicide in August 2014. You can tell something is happening. Everyone saying he looked sad because you did the math and u know he only had a short time left to live. Fools. He probably had to wake up at some ungodly hour to do this interview. He made them and himself LAUGH for 7 minutes straight. Please spare me the armchair therapy session. 🙄🙄🙄 RIP Robin. 💔
Random woman says "I thought this was hilarious... divorce is ripping a man's heart out through his wallet..." Robin didn't find it so hilarious. Thanks, Mr Williams.
I have to admit that Robin Williams does look tired but it might have something to do with the fact that it was so early in the morning, it was interesting to hear from a doctor last year that if Robin hadn't committed suicide, he would have died from what he was suffering from around 2016/2017, so he would have lived until 65 but he wouldn't have been in control of his life. It's been almost five years since Robin died and there hasn't been anyone who has taken his place, he was a comedy genius, he was unique and he was brilliant...I always state that 2014 was a terrible year when we lost two brilliant comedy greats, one was Robin Williams and the other was Joan Rivers and five years on, I still miss them both because I know that both of them would be having a field day with Donald Trump as US President!
I twit, yes. -What's the past tense? Don't go there... Lmao, hilarious and creative even when he is seemingly unwell May he rest in peace, he will always be missed.
Norah O'Donnell is gorgeous with her beautiful laugh. If she weren't married with 3 kids, and if i weren't broke...i could've seen a future for us together lol.
+Marwan elhefny me too. So many of my friends are saying that nobody even cares about him anymore and blah blah blah, but he will always always always hold a special place in my heart
***** I don't know why the hostility..I'm as sorry that he is gone as anyone else that thought he was amazing. I'm also not the only one to think this..His death is very strange...Even stranger that his family cremated him the day after he died...Who does that?....Save your anger for the irrational..Not the ones that have used rational argument for a death in strange circumstances...It's highly possible the man strangel jerked himself to death in the same way Michael Hutchens did..It happens...It may have easily happened to him too...Especialy since he was in a show that included such a thing only the day before he died.
***** "no reason for the body to hang around"???? Yikes! No, we wouldn't want that, considering he hanged himself. I hear it's not a pretty death or that you look normal like in the movies except with a elt around your neck, That's why they covered your head in noose hangings and lynchings. I know someone who found someone who hanged himself, his head was blue and twice its normal size. Horrible image
No, you can see it when he tries to stay still but there's a constant small tremmor. Still, his mind cames out has sharp has it used to. And the pink socks! Loooool.
I believe this is when he started taking prescription drugs... antidepressants and such that numbed him and I believe lead to suicide.. bless this dear man.. xo.
My God, I can't even watch this, it makes me so sad. I really had not kept up with him in recent years. But to see him here (and some of the other clips I've seen, that I also couldn't finish), how could people around him not have seen that this was a man in deep trouble? He looks and sounds exhausted here. He looks ill, or sad or... just not right. It's not just, "Oh, he's aged." He looks like he's in pain. If I, as a total stranger, viewing clips on a screen can IMMEDIATELY see this, how could all the people in his life not have seen it? It's heartbreaking!
It's so funny to hear everyone in the studio cackling and having a great laugh. Even the camera people are dying laughing. This guy was one of a kind.
Indeed he was!!

If she weren't married with 3 kids, and if i weren't broke...i could've seen a future for us together lol.

Marwan elhefny Oh captain, my captain
+Potter Perfect WE are crying always,,,He is(not--"was ")greatest,beautiful man!!!(from Russia with LOVE)
Natainja Luch-chewa yeah, he is amazing. I hope he is finally happy now
He looks kind of sad in this interview.
After watching this it's hard to imagine anything was wrong with Robin.
The House of Plum I agree. The more I watch his interviews, the more the conspiracy theories begin to click.
Even in decline and manic depressed Sir Williams was sharp as a ginsu!
He seem more tired than earlier years. He is more serious than other interviews i have seen hom in. Moments of his comedy get through
He looks sad. He was clearly in the signs of depression already.
could be sad, or could tired, like any sane person up early to do a good morning america episode
I dunno if he sad...I'm starting to think he jerked himself to death like michael hutchens.
I like it here fat bitch so i repeat..If you don't like free speech, then fuck off back to Iran.
At this point, it is obvious Robin is suffering. You can see in his eyes. It looks so empty and lifeless.
Sad, but, true...
I noticed that too! that sparkle he used to have was gone, it burnt out!
Omg... Look at Norah.. She's gasping for air!!!... I really miss Robin Williams
