You went the extra mile so you are that family’s oil boiler man for life. Great video superb content. Great tip on the copper grease for long screw and also keeping the electrodes level with the nozzle face. They didn’t teach this at my recent oil logic exams course.

Thanks for the comment. The oil exams are a basic exam to get you going. You learn more as you gain experience. Glad this has helped and if you ever get any issues or unsure feel free to email us anytime! Rob

I note you mention the electrodes should be level with the end of the nozzle (and I've heard other UA-camrs say this) but my manual say the electrodes should be 3-4mm back from the end of the nozzle.

Depends on the burner. If you put the electrodes 3-4mm back on this burner you would bet groove marks over nozzle then the boiler would run poorly and breakdown.Have a good week. Rob

How can you make it worthwhile to remove, strip down, rebuild then call back to fit a burner? Would it not make more economical sense for everyone to just have a few new burners in the van and just replace it?

Thanks for the comment. We dont just fit burners as we repair most from van stock. Also it was a shorter blast tube as explained in the vlog so a standard burner would not be suitable. Also this repair was much cheaper to the customer than a new burner. Have a great week. Rob
