Me and Roy use the same trail belt which tucks under our jackets which keeps the bottles warm enough. Instinct Reflex belt, amazing belt and can easily be used to run a marathon self-supported without needing aid stations, unless the weather is crazy hot/humid. Being able to combine your hydration/fuel is really convenient and has numerous benefits that massively outweigh the negatives of the added "weight" you are carrying...even when racing.
I also use a compressport running belt and its pretty awesome….. tucks under the jacket so it doesn’t get as cold and i can store loads of stuff in there! Love your video’s keep it up buddy! 👏👏👏
might be something I have to check out. It has not been too much of a problem and I have resisted carrying my liquids in a running belt for some reason (not really sure why). I have a running vest that I am a fan of but I run into the same issue in the cold where the bottles are on my chest.
@@WhatMatterstoMatt If you can get a baggy enough jacket or one specifically made for it, you can wear the vest under the jacket and unzip to take a drink. That solves the problem too. I did that for 2 years till I switched to the belt for most runs.
I think at the very least, runners should track protein. It’s easy to pound the carbs and usually get enough. Awesome weight loss journey. I had a similar one. Competing in natty bodybuilding for 5 years. Now I still lift but run more and I feel great.

I will have a look. Could be the answer. If it's good you will probably hear about it in a video :)

Like the zero hype approach... An episode about hard days hard and easy days easy... How you do it...
That is a very solid idea. Very likely something I will be doing a video on.
So minus 14… I guess I have no excuses anymore 😂 hats off, great video, I enjoyed the nutrition deep dive
I till complain about the cold :)
