- In this video, I will teach you how to repair your Studio monitor Eris 4.5BT from Presonus. This unit has no power in other words the unit is dead set due to a sudden power surge. Before you open your unit make sure that it is out of warranty or else the warranty from your supplier will be void.

My Eris E4.5s. stopped working after a short power cut. Appears to be the same damage. Too expensive to return to manufacturer and pay for the repair. Not worth fixing. I wonder how many have had this problem?

I was searching for repairing instructions, but then, watching this I decided to save my nerves and time. This is obviously a Design flop of PreSonus. I also Googled a bit and yes, we are not alone. PreSonus rolled out and advertized the 2nd Gen, where they put a glas fuse in the box. So, this might seem as rework, but they basically mean by that, that the problem may pop up again (and this is halfway a temporary solution). Not good. One might want to look for something else.
Hey Would you happen to know if the volume potentiometer used in this is a B50K? mines cracking quite a bit ive cleaned it with contact cleaner but think it needs replacing.
