Alot of people didn't get one because of dick head scalpers. Don't over pay for one off eBay or Amazon Nintendo already said they will be making more for this year.
Had nintendo just made the cartridge slot functional and released future games as volumes down the road for 20 or so dollars, I'd be more than willing to buy. ... But hey, they have a funny way of doing business.
That will be genius although some good games will still be missing because some publisher rights are just lost in a labyrinth were Nintendo will have no idea who to pay to get that game on?
Anon ymous there's this and I dunno how HDMI functionality would work with old hardware? Cuz upscaling is a software thing built into the code, I suppose if you wanted HD SNES games you'd have to buy these theoretical new cartridges from the Big N
Nothing is better than that feeling you get when you hold the Down button and Select simultaneously and see why you don't need to get up and Reset the console
Added about 40 games to mine and it works great. I'd be wary of putting too many games on because then you may run out of space when you have save states for every game. I just added my favorites that didn't make the initial cut.
Some games will not work on the SNES classic. To make them work, you need to install another emulator which is pretty easy to do (there is instructions on Hackchi GitHub page). But they will not work with the rewind feature and instead messed up the current state of the game. I have lost about 2 hours of progress in Star Ocean because I overwrote my save state after rewinding. Other than that, it works great. Just don't use the rewind feature on those games that use a different emulator.
I usually don't like to hack stuff but it is completely worth it and I recommend everyone do it on Snes classic. The chances of bricking are nonexistent compared to 3DS or something else. I loaded on DKC2, DKC3, Mario Allstars(should have been there in the 1st place),Chrono Trigger, and tons more games including Game Boy. It runs flawless and I have a save compression tool that makes save states take up a 4th of what they did.
It would be nice if they have e-shop on future mini consoles. But if you already own the games (and you live in a country like me) it is legal to install those games on your console but it is illegal if you don’t own the games.
i bought the nes mini instead. i was surprised by how happy i was playing it. it just felt right and fun. i used eta prime's video to install retro arch on it. now i can play arcade, sega genesis, super nintendo, turbografx, and gameboy advance games on it. all you need then is a $20 "my arcade super gamepad"; it's wireless and works with the nes and snes mini. :D

Question? Have you added Mother 3 to the SNES classic? That is the only reason I want to mod this.. and chrono trigger and harvest moon snes.. maybe I'll add HM64 too
It's so easy to mod I feel like it was intentionaly made to be modded. Why else would the charging port double as USB connection for PC? Nintendo is clearly unspokenly intending us to do as we please with it.
is pokemon on this to to download I bought a snes mini and I'm only 12 and just wanna see if it is worth bothering to do this because I'm bad with computers
honestly seems like they made it as easy to mod as it is for a bigger chance for more sales. Like the one I bought came with nothing but a usb connection as if they were asking me to connect it to my pc. and so i did. I bought an emulator box and 2 controllers. more than worth it imo, i havent used it in like 2-3 months and still feels like a steal
I have just recently bought a snes mini which was already modded however I want to add some games I use to like from back in the day like Tetris attack and donkey kong country 2 but being already modded have I hit a brick wall?
The SNES classic is an emulator based on technology developed by pirates actually because Nintendo itself had lost most of their source materials (code, assets and etc), they didn't have much data regarding the SNES at all as they thought it was unnecessary. So you see... The SNES classic is in fact derived from what was available on the web but it's further improved and comes with official hardware, it's a neat presentation. And of course the best feature: Brand new SNES controllers.
I I purchase the rock 64 and I want to know if I can put the Raspberry Pi software Linux on it and I also want to know if I can put retropie on the rock64 dude is there anyway you could do me a silent make a video on this or tell me how to do it with the Raspberry Pi or anything of that sort I mean should I buy Raspberry Pi 0 with WiFi
Shadowrun was the one that broke me. I had craved playing the original for 2 decades and this unit with the "updated software" option is soothing them cravings sooooo weelllllllllllll ^_^
Found a rompack that had 3500 games on it. After getting rid of all the games I can't understand, duplicates, tests and demos, I had 770 games. The console can safely fit about 150 games including box art without needing to worry about not having enough memory to save games. If you only add games that you legitimately might want to play, you'd probably be about to whittle that down to around 50 games. The program is easy to use and even with being technologically illiterate I didn't have any issues with it.
i just want to point i played many snes rom titles on an emulator but some of the games would freeze on a certain level making finishing the game impossible .. if you were to donwlaod one of those games .. that would still happen ? it happend to me on a game called the firemen and it also happend on zelda ocarina of time for the N64
I'm thinking of modding my Super Nintendo classic edition but first I would just like a confirmation on the system's ability to play ROM hacks without having to modify the base file of the rom hack what I mean is I could have just download a ROM for Mario Kart R and download it onto the Super Nintendo?
i used a bunch of extra retroarch bioses with my snes classic and i’m really bad for playing things all the way through if they’re just on emulators so i was able to mod games like f-zero climax and gp legend, megaman 7 and most of the nes titles, kirby nightmare in dreamland, hell i even got panel de pon (which i already have on my wii homebrew channel) so i could use the multiplayer mode
I added Act Raiser, Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong Country 2, E.V.O., Earthworm Jim, Final Fight 2, Killer Instinct, NBA Jam T.E., Super Bomberman, Super Mario All-Stars, TMNT IV Turtles in Time, and Zombies Ate my Neighbors.
I would get Super Mario All Stars,Megaman X2 and X3(the version with zero fully playable),Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3,Castlevania Dracula X,Kirby's Dreamland 3,Clock Tower,Megaman 7,and Super Back to the Future
Is there a way to do this on Mac yet? But even then, the ones mini seems to be unplayable because of the controllers. I've never heard anyone complain about this, but the deadzone op the dpad is way bigger and feels really unresponsive in fast paced platform games like super Mario world and dkc. Is there any way to get a adaptor so I can hook up the original snes controllers?
Few games I wish were on it would be megaman x2 and x3, chrono trigger, Mario all stars, secret of evermore, final fantasy 2 (IV) and maybe a few others I can’t remember at the moment. But at least I still have access to some of these. Megaman x collection (1-6) for ps2 same with final fantasy and chrono trigger for ps1 but work on ps2. And did hear there’s supposed to be a megaman x legacy collection coming out this year for ps4 and Xbox. And got super mario 3 for my 3ds so only missing secret of evermore.
A retro game store offered to add the entire nes library to the nes classic here in the US, and the snes library to the snes classic too. Will nintendo sue that store I don't know.
I agree as well, but we could go all day saying classic games that should've been on it. I'd have liked Stunt Race FX and Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures. So many others though. One that pretty much everyone has said that I do think should've been a priority to have on there, and would've been possible as other games from the same publisher are on there. Chrono Trigger. Such a top RPG, and very well regarded. I'm
You can actually make your own SNES classic using an original shell from a SNES. Its not hard to do and you can have all 721 original SNES titles at your disposal.

Poor word choice on my part but you will most definitely be shamed for downloading a Shaq Fu rom, just not for the same reason you're thinking about.
that shaq fu game is legit Delphine Software made some cool games
That is probably not entirely true, but it will never be enforced so you’re all good.
JaCoB'S cLuB roms are not illegal if the gamed are not made anymore and company cant get money of them + every game you own is yours to be downloaded to your self legaly

I can’t wait for the SNES mini mini in 20 years.

Yup, I hooked my Classic up with 200 ROMs as soon as I pulled it out the box.
Question? Have you added Mother 3 to the SNES classic? That is the only reason I want to mod this.. and chrono trigger and harvest moon snes.. maybe I'll add HM64 too
I have already pulled my Snes classic off the shelf 4 times and I have wooden floors. Just thinking about it makes me cringe.
why does this channel have so low subs it deserves more

i used a bunch of extra retroarch bioses with my snes classic and i’m really bad for playing things all the way through if they’re just on emulators so i was able to mod games like f-zero climax and gp legend, megaman 7 and most of the nes titles, kirby nightmare in dreamland, hell i even got panel de pon (which i already have on my wii homebrew channel) so i could use the multiplayer mode
I think I'll wait for the Big N to release these games on my PSOne.
A valid option.
I can't wait for the Nintendo switch Mini
I did hear that modding the SNES classic did have a slim chance of breaking it?
I would like to play to all the SNes fire emblems if I could.
herr i am over a year later just now found one for list price not 3 time over
That men in black scene had me laughing all day :D
Dude what about Super Bomberman
I didn't think it was obscure enough but you'd better believe it's essential.
i put around 109 games on mine that also includes sega genesis games ;) and they all work completely fine!
DUCT TAPE YOUR SNES MINI TO THE TABLE.
GREAT IDEA.
Love this video, just subscribed
I got the Super Famicom Mini!!
Because it was cheaper for me, and wasn't sold out everywhere around me, like The Super Nintendo Mini
If I mod/hack it, what should I add? I'm a 2000's kid, but I love retro stuff, so I don't know what people like.
Better grab a real SNES and a device called FXPAK Pro, if you want to get the most out of what the SNES has to offer.
Hello, I do have question. can you really play the games of NES on SNES console by using hack? or they still do have different games?
I didn't know you were from my home town Nashville, that's awesome! Love your videos man!
Gadgetman377 that’s awesome! If you see us say what’s up!
Subscribed due to your young bucks shirt and always sunny overtones
Applause boys! Thank you for brightening my dismal day.
Best thumbnail and Sunset riders should've been on there.
Thank ya and I agree!
2:34 Is that fucking Jekyll and Hyde?!
You can actually make your own SNES classic using an original shell from a SNES. Its not hard to do and you can have all 721 original SNES titles at your disposal.
