    Specs:
    +0.7kW @ 8200 RPMs
    +1.1Nm @ 5750 RPMs
    -1.9kg (after market with black finish)

    Almost the same sound, maybe the stock is a little bit better, i prefer that. Wasting money to buy the akrapovic. You do not feel the little less weight and the little more torque when you ride. I may not be right, i don't know.

      Hey Viktor! Thanks for your thoughts!
      The stats for the HP sport silencer is now in the description of the video!
      I have to agree with you in principle. But for me, the looks alone was worth the upgrade. The torque and weight difference is just an added bonus that I might never have missed had I opted out of it.

    Well, I listened to both. I actually asked the dealer to take the "upgrade" Exhaust muffler off and put one of the BMW OME. I hear no difference. Yes, it is somewhat more weight to the bike, but the bike isn't made for breaking any speed records. Right? So, I saved about $1500 on the purchase price of the bike.

    Great vid, thanks!
    Two specific ones:
    1. Have you ganed aditional hp with Akropich?
    2. How many kg have you lost on the bike with Akropovich?

      Hey, Dan! Thanks for the comment! Great to hear from you. What do you think about the looks, the reduced weight and increase in torque? Curious to know if you would upgrade for those, even though you prefer the sound of the stock exhaust, or if the sound is the way to go for you.

    • @4rmchai2
      @4rmchai2 6 років тому +2

      Well, the Akrapovic looks a lot better for sure. The reduced weight and extra torque can't hurt either... it's a real tough one as to whether that's worth the extra £££ though. Enjoying your vids as I'm considering getting an F750GS myself and it's really useful to hear an owner view.... most of the stuff about atm is marketing promo stuff.

    Stock sounds nicer. On this recording... Akrapovic looks nicer... But does not worth the money taking into account one will trade the bike in couple of years and nobody wants to pay for accessories. Any slip-on is a waste.

      Hey, and thanks for the comment! I haven't actually read the fine print, but I'm fairly certain that removing the Euro4 box might have some sort of impact on the warranty :-D

    Video doesnt show real difference in sound. But in real there is. Akrap has more noisy and deeper sound.

    ditch the sound resonator and get a straight through mid pipe, and they would both sound a lot better, I am still contemplating is it worth £900 for the end can, with a saving of 2kg and a little more torque, is it really worth it... my bike already sounds better than both of these by getting a dominator mid pipe, can I bring myself and waste nearly a grand on a end can

    Almost the same sound!!!! In this new model the exhaust sound is a terrible fuckin shit!! Not like the 700gs model because has an amazing enduro sound and you don’t have to change your exhaust for a very expensive akrapovic.

    Weird question. I see you both have the new Vario Top Cases. I’m looking for inner dimensions, or better: can you find someone with a Schuberth C3 Pro in XL to see if it fits? ;)

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  6 років тому +1

      Hey, and thanks for the question! The Vario cases have been growing with every generation. When fully expanded, the top case fits my 2XL Schuberth E1 with sun flap, so it should fit your C3 in XL :-) Hope this helps! We have a Vario case review planned soon, so subscribe to our channel for more details on it!

    Since the comfort seat is higher than stock, do you think a handlebar raiser should be installed ? Or is the position relaxed enough ?

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  5 років тому +1

      I have a very long torso and tiny little legs, so I need a handlebar riser no matter the bike :-) Still, I think at least the 750 benefits from it so you get a more relaxed angle for your back, but it really depends on your proportions. If you have long legs and a shorter torso, the added height of the comfort seat might be what puts you in a perfect position. All depends on your body type. Raising/lowering the handlebar to get a perfect fit for your body is something I recommend to everyone! It is so under appreciated, and can make a bike that feels off suddenly feel perfect :-)

    Can't really tell any difference. Is it worth it for a little more torque? Greeting from Tulsa Oklahoma!

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  6 років тому +1

      Hey William! Thanks for the question!
      Truth be told, I personally can't tell much of a difference on the torque part. But then, I don't have the skills or experience to push the bike to those kinds of limits where it would be needed, or even noticed. If you're driving along the motorway on your way to work, listening to music and staring at the bus ahead of you, or weaving through traffic jams, or leisuring along a twisty mountain road, enjoying the scenery, I don't think you would notice if it was there or not.
      If you plan on pushing the bike to its limits, then sure, you'll want it. And if you have the skills and experience to do that, you'll probably also notice the difference too.
      I've reached out to both BMW and Akrapovic, and asked for some specifics about the torque improvement, and I'm in contact with both of them, so please stay tuned for an update!
      PS: We ordered our bikes last year, before they even had any formal pre-order forms, so we had no idea what to expect, really.
      In hindsight, I think I would still have gotten it just for the looks. The torque and weight difference, I could live without.
      But, that's just me :-)

      @MotorcycleTourists  6 років тому +1

      I got a reply from Akraprovic, and the stats (power and torque) are now in the description of the video. Check them out!

      Thanks for the info. I currently have a Suzuki V-Strom 650 and I've been looking at different bikes out there, BMW 800gs, BMW 700gs, Yamaha Super Tenere, Honda Africa Twin. This looks like a great bike, not as heavy as the Super Tenere, better on the road than the 800 but I'm not sure how it does off road. Looking forward to more videos, thanks for the info.

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  6 років тому

      I've done some gravel roads and so far it's doing pretty well, though the tyres aren't made for it, so it's really slippery, but the suspension keeps up, and that's with me weighing like a small Fiat. It's not going to eat up as much of the bumps as an 800 would, or an Africa Twin. But more serious and focused tests are in the plans :-)

      You're absolutely right. They're both heavily chocked for EU emission regulations. That's also the explanation I got, and the conclusions on a lot of forums for why they sound so similar.
