    My Pal George, you always surprise me you are a very talented man. You new Dremel tools seem to work great very very handy for sure. If I wasn't so old I would get that set up myself. Hey if you don't try you can't win. Thank you for the videos, I am always waiting for a new one.

    Great video of real work! You really made the plain, every day work knife into a real beauty. I learned of the Knife Doc from you. I have carried the opinel mushroom knife every day since 2002; the hook blade and brush are very useful.

    You fail to mention the wonderful fragrance of the antler as you grind and cut it, lol. It smells like burning hair because in reality it is burning hair. Good design (I had my doubts) very nice looking too. Nice job overall!

    I made my first knife last year. It was a Damascus skinner blank given to me. I used a complete deer leg bone…lol. It looks like a caveman knife! Yours is way fancier then mine.

    Seems like the orange oil would be great for opinel knives. The difference it makes isn't huge but it really does great to protect my wood handle kitchen knives.

    The center of the antlers is porous so pins in the middle are possible a problem to make stable , perhaps some flat bars inlaid on the outer sides or even on the inside where you catch the solid part of the antler by drilling two or three parallel drilled holes that form a “groove” or slot with the whole point interlocking with the solid part of the antler

      Yep. Tell antler was not very wide so was limited. Adding thicker longer pins helped alot. Be safe my friend

    That's the problem working with antler . The pith is not stable. I drill as much as I can out and fill it with apoxy . Then it works great. I've done a lot of experiments with antler because I love the way it looks so much. I've got handles I've now been using regularly for 2 years and they're holding up great.

    hi, George, if the sharpening stones are not diamonds, then you need to apply oil to sharpen

      Ahh ok. They mention a little oil and don't drip???. I think they meant for the bearing on the sweep handle. I'll look at what the specs are. Thankyou. Much appreciated.
