Honestly I feel for the guy. I remember I got on stage about 10 years ago after not playing professionally in 15 years... And man did I suck. I could play everything in a closet- but in front of people is another game. You have to practice performing on stage. Different set of chops.
Dude if you just go up with no expectations and do it to have fun, which is what its about, you're not going to worry about people. The only one that can completely sabotage your playing is you. 99% of people watching you can't even tell anyway. You're absolutely right in that its a different animal all together. Just know your limitations. The best players to of ever taken the stage have, at one point or another, sounded pretty horrible. Human Condition.
takes ages to get past that eh, i just did without noticing too much? we only play pubs but i feel like i am at home, that helps too, even shut your eyes and think that, look at the back of the hall, they will think you are making eye contact, i used to pretend not to be there till we got called on stage too, it's similar to acting, you have to say 'f it' and make a noise! i still not a loud confident person but i have my moments when i play, have fun mate, i am sure it wasn't as bad as you thought, they have proven we judge ourselves harder than others..i forget too but it should be joyous, it's music and fun!
Great guitarist, so glad to see him back. Could tell he LOVED being back on stage. Vinnie came at the right time for Kiss, to step in Ace's shoes... IMPOSSIBLE!
Being a guitar player myself, as Im sure a lot of us here are, it looks to me like his real problem is that he is playing the basic parts of these songs from what he remembers laying down in a studio but he hasn't been practicing in a very long time. Ive done this before, thats how I recognize it 😂. He plays like someone who USED to do it. I can tell it would have been better but I can also tell that he also hasn't given himself anything more than a last minute rehearsal. He's stepped into the shoes but he seems very uncomfortable in them. You can actually see how he places his fretting hand in attempts to remember where some of the higher notes are in relation to the lower chords to attempt a solo or harmonizing lead. With practice and rehearsal, its clear to see that he could actually do it but it REALLY does seem like he has been living a different life since the 90s where he is not a guitar player and he is forcing himself back into this thing that he used to do.
Looks like he forgot how to play certain parts in cold gin. I don't blame him especially if he didn't know they were going to play it. I forget things after not playing them in only a few months. He may have not played cold gin in decades.
It doesn't seem like he's played in a long time and don't know why but i use to worship this man as a guitar player who wrote some of the best stuff kiss has done i just hope he can pull through what ever it is God bless you vinnie Vincent you still Rock
Sad that his mind has changed so much that he doesn't think he can be an insanely incredible guitarist anymore. The mind can be a blessing and a curse at the same time.
Vinnies smile.. that’s what its all about. He has nothing to prove to anyone anymore.. just playing and having a good time. Good for him! Warms my heart!
I was there last night, and even Vinnie is out of shape I don't give a fuck, that was an historical appearance we presenced , give him some time , the great Vincent Cusano!!
c'mon, guys, have a little bit of empathy he's old, he was a problematic guy his entire life nobody at the concert was giving a sh*t about his shape or if he was doing the lead or rythmn guitar. it was a celebration. just people having a good time together, listening to the music they loved tru the years. let the man have his moment, stop judging what do you think the guy will feel if he read your comments? dyou wanna make a man feel bad? c'mon, the world is full of sh*t people. im a kiss fan and I'm glad he's doing it. take care of your business, be happy and stop distilling hate for free. peace
I'm so happy to see Vinnie back in action! He may have his own personal demons, but then who hasn't!? Been a KISS fan ever since the 70's and for me Vinnie is the most talented guitarist/ songwriter they ever had. The smile on his face says it all, so hopefully we will have have new music from him in the near future.
Good for Vinnie and Four By Fate, the crowd was into it. Its good for all us Kiss fans in 2018 to have this variety happening and collaboration of musicians. Exciting times.
The man is pushing 70 and hasn’t really played guitar except for probably just leisure and y’all are hating. For it being that long I feel like he did just fine. Love you Vinnie 🖤
It's fun looking back at the comments almost a year later. Did you rubes get your box sets yet? Playing 8 hours a day for the last decade? He'll keep scamming you over and over.
I think that he's selling another box set now. LMAO. A box set from a dude that did two albums, and people fell for this shit? They deserve to be ripped off.
Two albums that pretty much saved Kiss from ending up playing bars by the early 90’s. Vinnie wrote the songs and a lot of the lyrics of those two albums who brought Kiss back into the game.
@@llnn5112 he's selling box a box set of his solo material. He has no right to release a box set including KISS material. He doesn't own the rights to the songs or the name so I don't know what your crying on about.
@@llnn5112 dude none of the Kiss material from the 80s Kiss era was popular in the 90s. The only thing that gave them a resurgence was putting the make-up back on, putting the original line up together and playing songs from the 70s. Neither of Vinnies albums in the 80s produced any hits and that was the peak of hair rock while he had Mark Slaughter singing. Anyone that pre-ordered a box set to help its production deserves to be ripped off.
You can tell this a test for him and it'll all come back to him eventually. It's been years since he's played the solos but it will come back to him.....he's naturally talented and that will never go away.
The great crowd support there must have meant a lot to Vinnie. He is slowly but surely coming back! I think Vinnie still has a lot of amazing music in him left to give.
He seems genuinely appreciative. And a little scared to death. I've heard he's His Own Worst Enemy but I feel bad for the guy. I hope Paul and Gene leave him alone over the makeup thing and let him have a little fun
Kiss didnt trademark Vinnie`s makeup so I`m pretty sure he can wear it. Rumour has it he`s preparing for Vinnie Vincent`s Kiss Experience that also includes a drummer wearing Eric Carr`s Fox makeup which also has not been trademarked by Kiss!
I agree- they have made enough money-throw Vinnie a bone that won’t even come close to what he made for you guys back in the early 80s when he saved Kiss from being swallowed up by the MTV generation.
There are many ways to look supercool, and in Vinnie's own way he pulls it off, albeit in bizarre fashion, by coming out posing like a Stepford wife with rock-star makeup. This guy has obviously been fighting his demons and it shows, but he still manages to get up there and play the old songs, even though it appears to be a struggle at times. I remember seeing Vinnie at Wembley in the early 80's when Kiss did their first no make-up tour of the UK. I had the centre front seat, so I was right up close. Vinnie was the only one that looked down and acknowledged us, you could see how genuine he was. I say good luck to the guy, and long may he do his thing, whatever he wishes that to be.
You do understand that the evidence is now overwhelming that this guys is a fucking con artist with no sense of ethics, right? You wish him luck in that? Because thats his thing now dude. I mean...thats all this confused fucker has done since "coming back".
Funny how so many are willing to overlook what a horrible, toxic human being this con artist is. Apparently they're unaware of how many people he fucked over repeatedly.
Genuine? Nothing short of an abundance of documentation exists proving this guy to have destroyed almost any project he attempted. He is beyond toxic, has stolen from fans and no one he has played with was ever left with a favorable impression of him. History shows he simply isn't a good person.
So everyone who went to Vinnies Super Secret Squirrel Birthday Bash say they all saw him totally shredding with no missed notes?!!?!! But they were told no videos allowed at all?!!! Only time they tell you Recording prohibited is when they got something to hide!! This Vinnie can barely play Rhythm guitar... and now they want us to believe he’s a Shred Master once again?!! I’m not buying it man!! It takes years to get to/get back that level!! Vinnie admitted he hasn’t played for years!!
i totally agree brother!! all creative artists are a little crazy to some degree and VV has always been in that vain and to a very high degree imo.. i've always thought he had/has a very self destructive streak in himself ,but, one thing is for sure, when all this went down 5-6 years ago here was a guy that could have had a total rebirth of his career and everything that goes with it and i feel he just totally fucked it up and threw it away and that's a waste and really sad. and it didn't help wearing what looked like a womens pants suit and all that weird shit. what a waste.
+ Blimpus It would be a lot easier to love him if he didn't fuck over legions of people who DID love him and did nothing to deserve being ripped off by someone they idolized. Why don't you stop making excuses for this POS and acting like he's some sort of victim when he's the one who's victimized others. He's fucked over everyone who ever tried to work with him as well as all those people who wasted money on a box set they never received. Holy fuck, dude. Have you always been this stupid?
Keith Novinski dude I feel bad for him as a human being he’s a mess ! Yes I don’t trust him at all he said he would give people 2 box sets yea right! I’m just saying he looks ridiculous with that makeup on and he actually looks alittle creepy
@@jcw91371 He sold a "box set" of his music years ago. It was pre-ordered and a lot of people paid for it. Unfortunately there never was any box set, after all. Still, people didn´t get their money back.
He looked so uncomfortable on stage, he was not ready to do that. Not one lead and he was so tense he looked as stiff as a board and the smile looked like it was from fear not happiness.
The dude is hasn't played a concert in decades, tell me you wouldn't be nervous. Paul Stanley and used to get nervous in the 80's. A musician doesn't forget his chords, even if his hands are not used to daily shredding and world tours. A little practice it all comes back.
He hasn't performed live for 20 years so this is essentially his first show. No one is great on their first show. There's no being "ready" to perform live. There's performing many bad shows until you get better.
Abe Froman...What? Not unfortunate at all, I think it's awesome! I'm a total 80's kid though! I'm sorry you feel that way my friend... & I assure you, I'm not making fun of you AT ALL! It was a compliment! I love Ferris! I have a good friend named George Peterson, & he's dealt with us all his life! Lmfao! Embrace it my friend...for you are "The sausage King of Chicago!"
He definately looked uncomfortable but what do you want? He hasn't played live in over 30 years. Gotta cut him some slack. I'm sure he cant play as fast as he used to but he certainly hasn't forgotten how to play. Just wondering how hes gonna pull off his solo shows in Memphis. Maybe hes just holding back...
I think if the video wasn't solely on him and instead on the band as a whole it wouldn't be so odd. I hope he does play in LA or even does a meet and greet.
I think he is holding back a bit because it's just a pre party, and it's for a small band, I'm sure his solo shows come December will be much more extravagant. He be looks a bit awkward, but think his first electric show in over 21 years, but nonetheless, you can tell he's having a good time.
I don't give a f what anyone says. VV is one of my guitar heros from childhood. It's great to see him playing again and absolutely AWESOME to see the Ankh Warrior!!!
A buddy of mine, (who passed away at 46 yrs old from a massive heart attack), was a HUGE VV fan. He prepaid for those "boxsets" that never materialized. I won't slam the guy, (or whatever he identifies as, these days), but I hope he developes enough honesty/decency to honor his promises to his fans. My buddy didn't live to receive his boxsets! Every time I hear VV's name I think about the apparent 'scam' Vinnie pulled on people.... That's a hard thing to overlook.... I realize that the guy was talented, but obviously, this isn't the same person anymore.....
Vinnie hasn't played for a crowd really for 27 years about? He's clearly been through hell, shattered, broken and is his own worst enemy, yet after all the drama, harm he's caused himself and caused by others, mentally and physically he's climbing out of it little by little and I applaud him. He was on the scene in the 70's, but he's really an 80's era shredder and honestly one of the best their was and possibly still is. He could hold his own against Van Halen, Jake E Lee, Randy Rhoads, Michael Schenker, Carlos Cavazo etc. You can tell he's insecure and uncomfortable but seems with every appearance he's doing better. The past is the past, honestly I look forward to what Vinnie does for the future, hopefully some touring, new songs, releases, a book etc. He saved KISS, point blank. No one else at the time could of did what Vinnie did, to step in and replace probably one of the most influential guitarist of the 70's, and write most of the songs on two albums and get them back in to the spotlight. Without "Lick It Up", KISS would of died out in the mid 80's.
And dont forget his Input in the monumental creatures of the night Album He Co wrote approx 50%.he deserved to be back.i Hope He will BE a Special guest on a few Songs at the Very Last kiss concert
I think Vinnie co-wrote 2 songs with one of them being Unholy on Revenge. I'm not the biggest KISS fan and I lost interest in them after Revenge but I just recently heard Carnival of Souls and that album rocks. I actually met Ace and Paul at a bar back in 1995-96, Ace was singing Christine Sixteen to my friend Christine when he somehow managed to fall off his bar stool lol
I just don’t understand why he looks so different in his makeup now & I’m not talking about age ,it’s something else (bizarre) and how did he go from being famous for shredding to barely playing beyond one note.
I don't care about any hate....this is freaking awesome....I love Vinnie... or whoever he chooses to be now..... part of his own doing but Def got screwed by Paul and Gene...and it's great to see the dude come out of his own personal hell to live again.... a lesson for us all....God bless.
The smile on his face at 15:12 during cold gin is exactly what I'm talking about... I honestly feel like I see his spirit growing thru his joy ... no matter how far we have fallen...we can always slap on our face paint and hit the stage with a little distortion and it's close enough for rock and roll... rock on ViN!!
kissbullsteeler but yeah for an honest answer...Paul and Gene really worked him over the coals....he wrote the songs that brought them back from the brink of destruction after basically 3 failed albums but Def 2 failed albums...Vinnies playing and songwriting saved their ass...and they treated him like an employee....the lowest employee....even put him in the cheap hotels when they stayed in the best....Vinnie had and probably still has a strong ego....and back then it rubbed Gene and Paul the wrong way and the probably pushed back harder on him because he asserted himself so much as an equal...which of course he wasnt....but if they treated the man who was saving their careers at least as KISS with a ltitle respect...they would have had many more great albums and Vinnie would have been a huge reason for it..... Both missed great opportunities to cash in on what they each had to offer...but both parties shot themselves in the foot... Imo....instead we got mediocre late 80s kiss....boring 90s kiss until first reunion....and from there it's really just a Vegas act masquerading as a Rock band.
@@j.reveille6815 you nailed it! Creatures of the Night, Lick It Up and Revenge are all great because of Vinnie`s song writing, etc. Bring on the rumoured 'Vinnie Vincent`s Kiss Experience! I would rather see that than the current Kiss!
At least Mick has an excuse...he has a chronic physical condition that prevents a lot of movement...basically the cartilage in his joints are turning to cement. But i do see your point..Vinnie doesnt seem into it.
I learned this song in 5 minutes. He wrote it and seems like he’s lost or high or scared to be on stage. This guy was a beast back in the day and it looks like he hasn’t been on stage for 20 years. He looks in comfortable. I almost feel bad for him.
@Dr Frosty....LOL No shit a NOVICE person could play that shit, couldn't even play lead on (cold gin) pathetic !! Basket case thinks he's a woman fucked in head to gay to play
Bless him, I love me some Vinnie. Sure he looks nervous, but I’m sure being a recluse for 20 years and going back on stage and doing interviews etc is pretty nerve racking. He looks happy.
Roy Martin Then don’t, and keep your opinions to yourself. What’s 5 months of practise after 20 years of living as a recluse? Performing to a crowd of any size after so long must be nerve racking.
Jason Odermatt Yes, I imagine he does! The state of the internet these days, you can’t even make a comment about someone looking happy without sad little bastards jumping all over it!
vinnie, you're one of THE best guitar players EVER. When you're on stage, show us that. THAT'S what we wanna see. We don't care, in a good way, what you're going through as a HUMAN being, we just wanna hear you let it rip brother. Just relax, if's a new era. You ARE Vinnie friggin Vincent so show us that
I'm not here to hate on Vinnie. I'm just saying the truth. This was bad. These are the songs with the easiest solos. Not even solos really, just leads, and he doesn't touch anything but a power chord, and was totally lost on Cold Gin. He's not holding back and saving it for the official comeback like some say, those aren't stage fright nerves, those are "oh shit, I don't know how to play anymore" nerves. He's obviously a gentle soul and he has changed in personality a lot since his Kiss days, so maybe it's just not in him anymore to be the rock star persona. Maybe he's been too depressed to play for the last 30 years. Maybe the depression from the music business created a lack of interest in music and he didn't play much. The good news is relearning the skills he had a second time is easier than the first and I'm sure he can do it. Been there! Good luck Vinnie.
He should of started to practice when the fist convention took Place .When he saw people still had a interest in him. I would say It will take 9 months of practice to get him to a point were he can do basic solos and perform for an audience
@@george25199 I think Vinnie was hoping to rejoin Kiss after the Expo and Paul said "No F'ing Way" and shot him down hard. I don't think he's played since the Expo. Sad, I really wanted to see him come back. I'd settle for no make up and an acoustic set. He sounded great at the expo. C'mon Vinnie!! Get it together Dude!!!!
Kyle 7K you are most likely right. i went through a phase of 3 years without even owning a guitar. i was battling some pretty serious depression. it changed me. coming back to guitar playing, the vrrything that kept the fuel in my tank, and i was terrible. i could play, albeit a bit sloppy. but the passion was gone. over two years back into it and the fire is still smoldering, bit its not raging. and it NEEDS to be raging. this was not the vinnie of the kiss or v.v.i. era. at all.
I actually got to meet and hang out with tod howarth a few years back. He lives here in San Diego, and came in to a gun shop/ shooting range i was working at. He’s a hell of a nice guy. Was really down to earth.
OK, here is my opinion: First, Vinnie CAN still play. Get it through your heads! If he were doing anything other than what he is doing here, the comment section would read: "UGH! he should stop that SHREDDING so much, I can't stand it, just PLAY normal!" Now the big complaint is he can't shred anymore. Will you fan girls and fan boys and assorted douche bags make up your minds??? Second, so what if Vinnie is smiling? Better than gritting his teeth, which he probably would have liked to have done... considering the fact that the men singing onstage with him are basically TALKING the lyrics and can't sing on key. Vinnie has perfect pitch, like it or not. It is one of the reasons why in the past he has acted like a perfectionist in the studio. Third, I'm not a VV worshiper (TRUST ME!), I just have ears. Here is what I personally would love to hear more of from Vinnie: acoustic. Not because he can't plug in, but simply because it sounds amazing when he does it. He also could very easily write movie or television soundtracks. Great way to get his feet wet musically again. My opinion does not amount to squat, (and Vinnie would probably be the first to tell me that!) but for the sake of the comment section, there it is.
Thanks for the post. I have looked at this clip and I just don't see anything negative. Vinnie is playing with good musicians and everyone is having fun. Gene needs to dial it all down and realize that Vinnie wearing make-up is a advertisement for Kiss--it's good for Kiss. Gene also needs to be a bigger man and to try to help Vinnie at this point in his life by being supportive and NOT HASSLING HIM. Be a nice person to Vinnie. Vinnie is playing well and enjoying life. This is important. Keep it going Vinnie.
@@freepressright While I get this, but should we really keep holding down a guy who is clearly mentally not well? Perhaps the reason this guy blew his career so many times is because he's wasn't mentally well in the first place, and I'm pretty sure the many years of reclusivity have made him far worse . I agree, if I were Gene, or any of them I would let the past go, and try to not be a jerk. Maybe if he has nothing good to say, just don't say it. :)
gene strikes me as a very insecure and immature person he doesn't seem to care or try to change that. personally im only seeing a complete asshole from him but maybe that's just me. sure he tries to act cool and genuine but he's really not.
He's already postponed his tour dates in early December and pushed them to February. It's hard to believe he's never practiced at all in the last 25 years.
@@DavidMoore_drmoorejr because what he once was, this isn't even a shade of that. I don't like to have to say that. I wish him well and ultimately it doesn't matter what I think....it seemed like he still enjoyed himself, I think.
I don't understand the criticism really. The same people who will go down to the local bar to watch Billy and the Boners or their favorite local band from 30 years ago...who never did jack squat and sucks now just like they did back then, they'll praise them and call them the greatest. But Vinnie Vincent who was in frickin Kiss, gets put down.We could only hope to do half of what Vinnie's done.It took a lot of courage for him to get back up there.
+moose knuckles96 "We could only hope to do half of what Vinnie's done." Aside from destroying a career he spent years building and fucking over legions of fans, what did Vinnie do?
@@meatwad1 I realize Vinnie has a bad rap and is on a lot of people's bad side, but the man seems broken. If he is truly sincere this time,I wish him luck.
He's back to try and cash in before the clock strikes midnight. Vinnie has realized KISS is retiring and this is his last chance to make a serious buck before the cash cow is off to the slaughter house, no pun intended. This whole gender gimmick is working as well, like he said himself, people are talking about it so there's chatter about him. I don't understand the big deal myself, maybe Paul and Gene are in on this too, maybe they see the dollar potential as well. I don't know, hopefully it works out for everyone involved and it doesn't blow up in their faces.
A lot of the comments are sad and mean. We are all imperfect and have our own problems. Can’t we just give a little grace and understanding for an obviously troubled person who is part of music history. Can’t we just appreciate that Vinnie is alive and getting out there again. You live a cave 20 years and come back into the public and you’d be uncomfortable too.
Wow, Vinnies version of Lick It Up here is more faithful to the original version than the one that KISS does in their concerts. I'm so glad I got to see KISS with Vinnie on the creatures tour in 83, I believe I saw them on their last U.S. date (San Francisco) before they took off the makeup on MTV, they did the Rio show in between those, I don't care what Paul says every guy in KISS should have had their own makeup and character, it worked for Vinnie and Eric Carr so why would it not work for the rest of them.
Fans of this toxic creature are pretty delusional, as evidenced by the ridiculous commenters talking about how Vinnie "helped" KISS, like it was an act of charity.
I don't care what all you haters say, i still love this guy...he is one of the most fondly remembered lead guitarists/songwriters in one of the greatest rock bands in the world and went on to form not one but two incarnations of his own band successfully...what have YOU done? Don't judge the guy w/o being where he's been. VINNIE VINCENT ROCKS!!!
You can see it in his eyes. My heart is breaking for him a little bit. He’s learning how to play guitar again. He hasn’t touched that thing in 29 years. Go Vinny!!!
he didn't look at the neck once.... hardly learning to " play guitar again" bro.... the hand to neck memory is still there...give the guy some credit... geese
Give him a break, Kiss music doesn't shred!! He can play it in his sleep. He's not going to be someone's guest and start stepping on toes by soloing over the singer or other guitarist. He didn't forget how to play nor did he stop playing while he's been away. He was playing simple songs as a GUEST. I'd like to see him play some Invasion stuff, that's where he can shine. Thanks for the upload!!
I never understood the fascination with this guy. He was only in Kiss for a hot minute, had a few side projects and then vanished for 25 years. Yet everyone is amazed with him.
Very happy to see Vinnie make another appearance. I know he has been out of the scene for a long time.... But coming out without his guitar tuned... Ugh! It definitely took some of the air out of the crowd as everyone had to wait for him to tune his guitar. It's like jumping in a sports car, putting your foot down and shifting her from 1st to 2nd, and then having to hit the brakes as soon as you are getting ready to shift in to 3rd. I am shocked that he didn't shred/solo on any of the three songs. He chose very two very generic (guitar-wise) songs to do out of the repertoire list of KISS songs he wrote/co-wrote (not to mention the VVI songs). The other guitarist took the solos (if you want to call them solos) for Lick It Up and I Love It Loud. I also found it odd that he chose a non-Vinnie KISS song, Cold Gin, for his wrap up song (you can tell he doesn't know some of the parts of the song (he stops playing for part of it)) and, to top that off, he wasn't even the one soloing for even that song. Why would he choose that song if he forgot how to play some of it? Vinnie could have made so much more of a statement coming out to the public for his first time on stage playing electric guitar. Glad to see him back, but considering all that I mentioned, this was pretty much a let-down. No other way to put it. I can only hope that he is going to be the Vinnie we know him for being when/if he takes the stage under his own name.
It’s true but I understand it. He just doesn’t care about practicing as much as he used to. That’s okay. We know what he did in the past and it’s just cool to see him up there playing again.
Wow very professional, come on stage, completely unprepared, Vinnie you toured the world one of the worlds largest bands, and you come out tuning and tinkering, garage band 101, no dead air time on stage....
Vinnie looks genuinely happy to be on stage performing again! That’s so awesome!
Lol always helps to have two guitar players. That way your mistakes really aren't that prevalent or obvious live.

It doesn't seem like he's played in a long time and don't know why but i use to worship this man as a guitar player who wrote some of the best stuff kiss has done i just hope he can pull through what ever it is God bless you vinnie Vincent you still Rock
I have always loved that guitar. Good to see it, and Vinnie of course.
Thanks Vinnie for doing this for the fans! Rock on
Sad that his mind has changed so much that he doesn't think he can be an insanely incredible guitarist anymore. The mind can be a blessing and a curse at the same time.

I'm so happy to see Vinnie back in action! He may have his own personal demons, but then who hasn't!? The smile on his face says it all, so hopefully we will have have new music from him in the near future.
Awesome to see him back out and playing!!
Good for Vinnie and Four By Fate, the crowd was into it. Its good for all us Kiss fans in 2018 to have this variety happening and collaboration of musicians. Exciting times.
Vinny s very underrated as a guitarist let him rock and roll and have a blast he s part of rock history people🙏🏻
Underrated because he is 🐕 wank when discussing RATED players. Who ties your laces?
Ooof overrated. This is just horrific

@@llnn5112 also I dont see anyone booking a "Vinnie Vincent cruise " do you?
You got to be kidding me 😆😆😆
He seems genuinely appreciative. And a little scared to death.
I've heard he's His Own Worst Enemy but I feel bad for the guy. I hope Paul and Gene leave him alone over the makeup thing and let him have a little fun
Exactly. Just let the guy be. Good God, they have enough money.
69 Fastback Kevrolet might be a bit disrespectful to Carr imo.
69 Fastback Kevrolet vinnie said he will never work with a live drummer again...
I agree- they have made enough money-throw Vinnie a bone that won’t even come close to what he made for you guys back in the early 80s when he saved Kiss from being swallowed up by the MTV generation.
When he walked out on stage, the first word that came to mind was "Yikes!"
Even at kegger parties ya tune up before walking out to play .
Lol....
😆😆
@Samí Warrior pros have guitars tuned ahead of time.
@Samí Warrior
They invented this thing called tuners. Use em like a pro.
See a person who has tour the world on the big stage, tuning on stage, is beyond ridiculous...
I say good luck to the guy, and long may he do his thing, whatever he wishes that to be.
...well put :)
You do understand that the evidence is now overwhelming that this guys is a fucking con artist with no sense of ethics, right? You wish him luck in that? Because thats his thing now dude. I mean...thats all this confused fucker has done since "coming back".
Keith, if you think that's a rendition of "supercool," then brother, you gotta stop hanging out with freaks and geeks.
It’s so nice to see everyone saying positive, encouraging things
Encourage him to do what?
It's called following the crowd aka, the herd mentality. They do it to be accepted. If everything is great then nothing can be great.
No matter what most of ppl say or curse him. Luv his style! I hope his mind is now working fine.
Como que quería llorar o soy yo. Tantos años vuelve y ver como sus fans nunca se olvidaron y siempre están allí para el. Grande Vinnie

Mark Sanderson well then he dicided to come back not all on his own! He had years to prepare for this comeback!
His playing was good! Give him time, he’ll get his swagger back.
Mark Sanderson he??? More like it..
Yeah who cares what anybody else says. See for yourself how shitty he is.
This is what it means to be a KISS fan, forget the past and bad things, support every member that brought something to the band.
Bang on Tate! Vinnie deserves respect and gratitude for his massive contributions to Kiss
And dont forget his Input in the monumental creatures of the night Album He Co wrote approx 50%.he deserved to be back.i Hope He will BE a Special guest on a few Songs at the Very Last kiss concert
If I remember right, Vinnie did some work on Revenge too. Probably my favorite of the non makeup era albums.
Carnival of souls is a damn good underrated album.
Nice to see VV after 20 years, welcome back!

Got screwed by gene and Paul?
kissbullsteeler yep....you try to work for them....if you don't take me word for it...just ask Peter and ace.
kissbullsteeler but yeah for an honest answer...Paul and Gene really worked him over the coals....he wrote the songs that brought them back from the brink of destruction after basically 3 failed albums but Def 2 failed albums...Vinnies playing and songwriting saved their ass...and they treated him like an employee....the lowest employee....even put him in the cheap hotels when they stayed in the best....Vinnie had and probably still has a strong ego....and back then it rubbed Gene and Paul the wrong way and the probably pushed back harder on him because he asserted himself so much as an equal...which of course he wasnt....but if they treated the man who was saving their careers at least as KISS with a ltitle respect...they would have had many more great albums and Vinnie would have been a huge reason for it.....

@@mwloco62 + He definitely looks like he is transitioning. Crazy shit bro!
Nervous
Well said
@@george25199 I think Vinnie was hoping to rejoin Kiss after the Expo and Paul said "No F'ing Way" and shot him down hard. I don't think he's played since the Expo. Sad, I really wanted to see him come back. I'd settle for no make up and an acoustic set. He sounded great at the expo. C'mon Vinnie!! Get it together Dude!!!!
Kyle 7K you are most likely right. i went through a phase of 3 years without even owning a guitar. i was battling some pretty serious depression. it changed me. coming back to guitar playing, the vrrything that kept the fuel in my tank, and i was terrible. i could play, albeit a bit sloppy. but the passion was gone. over two years back into it and the fire is still smoldering, bit its not raging. and it NEEDS to be raging. this was not the vinnie of the kiss or v.v.i. era. at all.
That's exactly what this looks like. Hence the postponing of the Nashville show.
I'm glad that Vinnie is out and about. Freakin awesome guitarist.
Ya he was shredding …..
You must have forgotten what a horrible and miserable human being this toxic personality is and how many chances he blew in his career.

@ moose - In case you don't know, most folks are clueless as to what actual talent is... or even good music for that matter.
Well said
A lot of the comments are sad and mean. We are all imperfect and have our own problems. Can’t we just give a little grace and understanding for an obviously troubled person who is part of music history. Can’t we just appreciate that Vinnie is alive and getting out there again. You live a cave 20 years and come back into the public and you’d be uncomfortable too.
Always thought it would be amazing to see Ace and Vinnie in makeup jamming together...it’ll never happen though
Damn Its an amazing time to be a KISS fan!
Man Vinnie looks happy. He has wicked guitar tone too. Just awesome!
Debatable
Whoever paid $$ to be trapped on a ship for days and subject themselves to this train wreck is out of their mind.
vinnie's fans are as weird as he is.
Indeed
People fans can be ridiculous
Fans of this toxic creature are pretty delusional, as evidenced by the ridiculous commenters talking about how Vinnie "helped" KISS, like it was an act of charity.
@@freepressright idk all those cowrites on comeback albums for $550 a week is close to charity. Fuck Kiss
He sure is smiling a lot
WOW! Vinnie back in his makeup!!! WOO HOO!! Thanks for sharing this! I LOVE IT!!
That.was great man! no more shit talk, just have fun and rock n roll! time here is short
The guy is medicated up to the eyeballs
Without Vinnie KISS would have been done. Give respect to the man who saved the band, no matter how weird he is as a person.
You can see it in his eyes. My heart is breaking for him a little bit. He’s learning how to play guitar again. He hasn’t touched that thing in 29 years. Go Vinny!!!
he didn't look at the neck once.... hardly learning to " play guitar again" bro.... the hand to neck memory is still there...give the guy some credit... geese
It's VINNIE, not Vinny.
Exactly!
VVI material. That is where he shines. A few songs from Lick it Up and Creatures show a hint of his style but it was dumbed down by the Kiss Klowns.
Are you deaf and blind? He clearly couldn't play it when he was awake here, let alone in his sleep.
I was in Maracanã stadium, Rio de Janeiro, 1983.
@Xilentium me too...
@Xilentium yes.
137,000 people.
Haroldo Pereira da Silva Porto Júnior So what?
1983??? No no no no!!!
Xilentium well my grandma saw Elvis, so what ? Who cares? Like you said I would just let people know about it. Respect (LOL)
Happy to see Vinnie... And I don't care about what some people say...
I never understood the fascination with this guy. He was only in Kiss for a hot minute, had a few side projects and then vanished for 25 years. Yet everyone is amazed with him.
WTF? He’s tuning his guitar? That’s supposed to be already done???
Agreed & well put ! Would have loved to hear the VVI …….Shoot ya ? Boyz gonna ? Nobody could sing Slaughters stuff here ?
It’s true but I understand it. He just doesn’t care about practicing as much as he used to. That’s okay. We know what he did in the past and it’s just cool to see him up there playing again.
@@christianpoint0888I don’t think anyone would know or care for VVI songs
Badd ass!! Welcome home Vinnie!
Wow very professional, come on stage, completely unprepared, Vinnie you toured the world one of the worlds largest bands, and you come out tuning and tinkering, garage band 101, no dead air time on stage....
😂 our amps and instruments are on the way mind waiting??? 😂😂😂
A guitar God He's got those three cowboy chords and two barr chords down pat!
