I've been using a similar team. Dewgon Thyplosion and feraligator. I need to switch Thy for something else cause having two frail pokemons is a challenge lol
Both attacks are good options and have their use cases. I think ice beam is better since grass pokemon are weak to ice and since Feraligatr is weak to grass, this gives him a fighting chance against them.
