Thank you for all the hard work that you put into your videos, Lucky. I’ve been sitting on a ton of stardust and was tossed up on who to spend it on now. I didn’t want to impulsively spend it on something I rarely use like I used to when I first started playing in 2020. The only Pokémon that has pulled its weight over the years that I’ve invested heavily into is my Garchomp from the Gible community day in 2021.
Thanks for your hard work on this video. Extremely informative, even for the most experienced PoGo players! It was easy to follow along in game to make sure I covered all the bases you presented.
Thank you for this excellent breakdown! I started playing again late last year and while I've looked at some other top attacker/mon lists online, having the explanations for why certain ones are so good and just how much more powerful they are over others was really helpful. Gonna watch the budget version now since I don't have access to some of these legendaries. 😅
So I started almost 8 months ago now.. and I’m now level 50 with 220m xp, with many many maxed mons and yes I did very much no life the game the last 7 months. If anyone else is starting off which I feel like a lot of players watching this type of video probably are, let me share my three biggest pieces of advice having been the crazy grinder going from noob to end game in the last 7 months. 1st - don’t over value second tier mega Pokémon. It’s easy early on to see dos charts and think this mega is rank 2 this one is rank 3 and so on, and end up maxing these mons thinking they will be your top guys. But as you’ll learn soon enough, because of the mega limitation of one at a time.. the moment you get a better mega; you will very likely never use your second tier one again and it’ll have been a big waste of resources… so honestly as hard as it can be to be patient; when it comes to mega Pokémon, just don’t invest in anything that is not the rank 1 or that type, wait until that mega comes around; and then use all your wonderfully saved up candy and stardust to power up the Mon that you will actually be using. 2nd - friendship is the strongest thing in the game. Whether it’s being carried in raids early on, exp from your daily interactions, trading, or even just the advice and fun of having others to play with, friendship in Pokémon go is incredibly valuable. So when you’re new, add everyone you meet, interact, go to events that you can, this is an amazingly inviting and encouraging community and you don’t want to be playing this game solo. 3rd- do NOT level 50 your mons. This was my BIGGEST mistake and the one I regret the MOST by far. The difference in your level 40 Pokémon and 50 is very very small… but the difference in resources it takes to level 50 it is ENORMOUS. If you do not have a rank 1 attacker that is a hundo it is almost never ever worth the resources it will cost to level it to 50. When you get something really good that you know you’ll use, simply power it up to 40 max that’s the point up to before it costs any XL candies. Reserve any higher leveling for when you find your prefer lucky hundo of a really good Mon, or maybe a great shundo, or event a really good shadow, but do not waste your resources expecting a level 50 Mon to carry you. This is a very long comment so I’m sorry but hopefully there at least one new player out there that reads it and gets to avoid the mistakes I made. Goodluck players !
Ps, lucky bunz is also the best and most genuinely helpful content creator on the platform for this game and does not get enough credit. Everyone please like his videos.
The best Pokémon are the ones you enjoy using the most. Some of my best wins and battles came from Pokémon that some said I wasted my stardust and candies on
I got a 91% shiny origin form dialga with roar of time. Last tour with the hoenn pokemon I got a 89% shiny rayquaza. I felt bad for my wife not getting anything either tour, so after I got dialga who is my 3rd fav Pokémon I decided to give my wife my 2nd fav Pokémon, my black rayquaza. She got it and was nervous about the stars being 2 or less. She got a lucky shundo Rayquaza from me 😳 I was blown away 🫥😵. Now she is leagues more powerful than I am. It also has dragon accent. I can’t wait to see her go mega in the future 🥰
Same, I level Legendaries only to lvl 35 and Pokemon from the wild relevant for raids (dragons, rock, ground mainly) to lvl 40. That was enough last weekend to beat Shadow Raikou with just one other player who is only L35 himself and has L30 mons only.
Lol no such thing as a level 50 complex, the IV complex is the real problem. There is like a 5% difference in stats between a low 3 star and a hundo, and look at all these people asking whether they should power up their 90% Groudon or whatever and these UA-camrs who have spent thousands on the game replying that they should wait to get a better one. Is it just me or do Pokemon that have moves like Fusion Flare, Origin Pulse, Spacial Rend - the ones that take a long time to charge and can hold only one charge, don't damage as quickly as something like Outrage that can use damage taken to spill over into the next charge, rather than it get wasted when you're almost charged anyway.
Yeah on paper, those big moves are the best, but practicality in raid battles paints a different picture. For that reason, it's nice to have 2 moves available. For example, on my Kyogre I have both Origin Pulse and Surf, this way I can get more damage off consistently
Yeah bro lvl your mon to lvl 50 only for it to die in the same amount of time as your lvl 35 & 40s lol Just level your mons to the point where they stop using candies to lvl and they need XL - just save XL for that hundo and have a 6 team of 5 35/40s and one lvl 50 mon and you’re good
That is right, but few types actually resist normal, making normal types attacks a good way to touch a lot of types. Plus, as shown for other types in the video, normal type doesn’t necessarily mean single type.

I think you got it mixed up, my example was a Level 30 Mewtwo (shadow) is about as good as a Level 45 Mewtwo (non-shadow) The example is to illustrate that shadow Mewtwo is OP
Is there an easy way to compare two Pokemon to know which is actually better to use, despite CP? For example, I have a Shadow Raikou at Lv 25 (2390 CP), and a Vikavolt at Lv 33 (2791 CP). If I'm interested mostly in Total Damage Output, is it best to just go with the higher CP, since this factors both Attack and Defense? Moveset must also play into it, so I'm hoping there's just a website that I can plunk the numbers/moves into and get a TDO spat out.
@@LuckyBunz Thank you! I think I did it right... I loaded up Kyogre as the enemy, and changed the attacker levels when searching between the two 'mons. Turns out, they're about the same, so powering up the Raikou even a little is the way to go... which makes sense :P
One thing that’s not mentioned here is IVs…. Like, I don’t do nearly as many Rocket battle/gyms as I should, so I hardly have come across any shadows with good IVs. Am I wrong that with any shadow I do get, I immediately transfer it if it doesn’t at least clear like 80% on IVs, (which means hardly keeping any)?
Great question, for regular Pokemon I try to aim for 96%+ with 15 attack ideally. For shadow Pokemon, since it's much harder to get good IVs, I generally go for anything that is 3*, but I have powered up 2* shadows before with high attack for example.
I've been trying to look this up for forever, but nobody is talking about it. Can you, or can you not teach Origin Pulse to Kyogre with a Charged TM or Elite Charged TM. Just need a yes or no, and is it possible. Because I got a Kyogre back in 2019 but it came with Hydro Pump, instead of Origin Pulse. So I'm just wondering if I can change it out, for Origin Pulse, or if it isn't possible. Or does it learn Origin Pulse when you Primal Evolve it???
@trevorsmith5790 A specific sentence I was referring to was, "it needs origin pulse to out DPS everything else." Even if origin pulse is better, It's still out DPSs everything with surf so you dont neeeeed it. It will honestly shave like 1.5sc off a raid running all surf kyogres vs all OP. Especially if you are f2p, save yourself an Etm and just run surf, unless you want this for pvp and then you only need 1
Im relatively new to Pokemon Go and have a lot of high IV shadow pokemons but they all have Frustration as Charged Ability and the internet says the only way to get rid of it is from some event?
Go hub db says normal and mega ray are better with outrage than breaking swipe, is that true? (also I got 4 mega ray including a level 50 shiny lucky 96%)
Theoretically, Outrage has slightly higher dps than breaking swipe in the raid, But! not always, breaking swipe is three bar, you can use breaking swipe faster, so sometimes at low health, when you don't have time to recharge outrage, you can use breaking swipe before you are knocked out, also breaking swipe is more versatile, breaking swipe is better in team rocket battle and Go battle league.
All moveset has different duration window and damage window in raid, for example, outrage has 3.9sec duration and 2.5sec damage window, when you use outrage, you will be stuck for 3.9 sec, which means that you can't doge and use fast attack), and at 2.5 sec after you tap outrage, the damage will dealt to the raid boss, if you get knocked out at around 2.4sec after you tap outrage, the damage won't be dealt to the raid boss, that's why sometimes you see raid boss regain health. For breaking swipe, it has 0.8sec duration, and 0.27 sec damage window, which is instantly fast, that mean that the damage will never miss.
Both are viable options imo, but Outrage is better for raids/gyms. Breaking Swipe will do slightly less damage, but it's more spammy, so you can consistently get off more charge moves when using it compared to Outrage.
My apologies! I totally thought I had explained that in there... guess I need to make another video for search tags. The SP6 stands for "special team of 6" which is what I use for my raid attackers, for each typing.

Yes, you can use an elite TM to get Origin Pulse on your Kyogre
19:40 i hope this is photshopped because why in the world is anyone hoarding 485 million stardust
Curious why you said primal kyogre /needs/ origin pulse? even with surf it will out DPS and out TDO everything else
Because it’s better for pve
@trevorsmith5790 A specific sentence I was referring to was, "it needs origin pulse to out DPS everything else." Even if origin pulse is better, It's still out DPSs everything with surf so you dont neeeeed it. It will honestly shave like 1.5sc off a raid running all surf kyogres vs all OP. Especially if you are f2p, save yourself an Etm and just run surf, unless you want this for pvp and then you only need 1
What about shadow Chandelure? It's great for both Fire and Ghost and absolutely among the best for both types
Will talk about it in the shadow video
20:26 Hideous thing.
Im relatively new to Pokemon Go and have a lot of high IV shadow pokemons but they all have Frustration as Charged Ability and the internet says the only way to get rid of it is from some event?
Yes, you can only TM away Frustration during Team GO Rocket Takeover events
@@LuckyBunz Okay thanks for the confirmation! Appreciate it :)
Maan I wish for rayquaza next week with groudon x kyogre. I have shiny Groudon already. All I need is ray and kyo
“Mega Obama-snow” @ 26:27 lol
How much worse is a Sceptile without frenzy plant? Like, if I don't have that move, is it not the best attacker anymore?
It's about 4 ER points lower, which is still slightly above Kartana. You should be okay just sticking with Leaf Blade for now
Shoul I purify my apex hooh? 13,15,15 shadow form
Should i get a shadow garchomp to lvl 50? 15-13-14
yes
Absolutely, that IV spread is great. I would even consider giving it the 2nd charge move
How did you get a Keldeo in 2017?!
I'm a new player, where do you get that much legendaries with perfect ivs?
Lots of raids or lucky trading
luckily i only had to do one raid to get spacial rend
They made rayqueza almost meta for people to buy him then nerfed him next couple of seaons. Its annoying lol
Yeah it was kinda annoying, the Breaking Swipe nerf was rough for all those dragons
very confusing without shadow pokemon mentioned much, like iirc shadow swampert better than kyogre
What is sp6?
There is a video in the description that covers my naming conventions!
My apologies! I totally thought I had explained that in there... guess I need to make another video for search tags. The SP6 stands for "special team of 6" which is what I use for my raid attackers, for each typing.
@@LuckyBunz aah no problem, thank you!
lol at Groupon nickname, mines is called crouton 🤣
I believe draco meteor is just slightly better than outrage for mega salamance
Oh wow, you're right. That's something I never would have expected on the mega specifically.
How do you have that much stardust? 😂
i have 14/15/15 metagross should i max it or wait for hundo..
I maxed mine that was 14/15/15, but it was also shiny
Ummm I got two metorite during go fest😅
how much did you spend on this game
I've spent $0 on PokeCoins and I've been playing since 2016
When you label your stuff 100%£++ what does the £ stand for?
Legacy move
MEGA GENGAR DOESNT COUNT AS A POISON ATTACKER BECAUSE NO FAST POISON MOVE………GOODDAY!
Fair enough 😆
@@LuckyBunz not trying be mean🤪☕️
