I just came into a used 2009 ZG327 this year and have done quite a bit of maintenance. I found about 10 of the same fitting and thought I was good. Apparently I have some more work to do. Thank you sir for taking the time to make this video.
LOVED the video! Hubby was writing down info as you went through. He found 1 other spot - they call it the "center pin" (pull up front cover and look UNDER the horizontal arm that attaches to the 2 front wheels). There's a small hole in which you'll find the zerk fitting that greases the pivot mechanism that tilts the mower. Operators manual - periodic service, page 51. That makes 20.
Be sure to checkout our video regarding how we change the mower deck gearbox oil with the ZD326 and let us know your thoughts! Thanks again for watching.
I just found that grease fitting using this comment and the one one the back shaft that’s between the engine and transmission thank for pointing that out
This is exactly the video we needed!! We have a 2014 ZD331 with a 72” deck !! 31 zerk fittings on this puppy!! We are still trying to figure out where they all are after losing our lawn assistance
Just bought a used ZG327 that had a new factory engine put in. So thanks for the heads up on the grease zerks, as I'm anal about doing maintenance. Think its around a 2010. Lot to learn about this machine and the pumps and PTO.
Believe it or not but there's a zerk fitting that needs grease for the raising & lowering of the deck. Best way I can describe its location is, it's located almost directly behind the center nut that holds the Carter Key. You'll need to get on the ground to see it. So there's 20 zerk fittings. I found this one during a routine inspection.
If you take the deck plate off (were your feet go) their are 2 fittings on top of the deck pivot , just like the 2 on the bottom. Which you can grease easily. (Don't have to take anything off) The deck plate comes off 4 13mm bolts in the front , 2 under the plate (1 on each side) back by the front of the tank. But you have to take brake release pedal off , also 2 - 13mm bolts no nuts , they tapped were the pedal bolts too. Thanks Randy.
I know this is an old post but maybe this will help someone. My 2001 ZD21 has all of those fittings and more . Front deck strut arms has one on both sides at the mowers frame and the transmission control levers have one on each side in the shaft they are mounted on (under the seat) my mower is old so these fittings may not be on the newer machines. It's worth a look.
Thank you for this video. I have 2 kubota zd326 and did not know about the 3 grease zerks that you were talking about. Was you tubing a video on replacing fan belt and you video popped up. Unfortunately I think my u joint is bad on the drive shaft.
Just a hint wipe off the zerk fittings before you grease them , if you don't the dirt that gets on these fittings will be pushed in to the joints when you grease them with the grease gun .
You can try tweaking them but be careful about over torquing and shearing similar to what I found on our new zero-time snowblower. Who ever torqued the main auger zerk over did it. The rear shaft is the most difficult to access so be sure the mower is elevated high enough to allow you to get at those zerks.
A viewer discovered #20. Checkout the comments. It’s under the front end near the screw for raising the front...my apologies for missing it. Planning to do a followup video to cover it along with our blade sharpening update.
We use Amsoil 15w40 Synthetic Marine Diesel oil and change it once every 2 years only because we put very few hours on in a given season. We’ve owned the zd326 since 2006 showing 240 hours. Hydraulic oil gets changed every 5 to 7 years. Was using Amsoil but switched to Kubota Synthetic Hydraulic Oil. The Hydraulic filters (there are 2) are expensive.
The gearbox oil I change every 2 or 3 years. We made a video on how to change it...check it out. It’s a different way of doing it without making a mess. Thank you for watching! The 326 is an awesome machine if taken care of. Take care.
Left a message I bought the hydraulic oil on another video. Just got my mower I bought a month ago is 234 hours. The hydraulic oil looks clean, does anyone know if it gets dirty or does it always look clean??
There’s no combustion process contamination so it’ll stay much cleaner than engine oil. However, hydraulic oil will attract moisture over time and therefore would advise you follow the owner’s manual recommendation for changing fluids.

Hope you enjoy your zg326. Our zd326 has been a great piece of equipment over the years. Was purchased in 2006 and still using the original battery.
Great film. Much needed info
Great video. I’ve been stressing and taking all day dealing with this. Thank you so much.

Wow! Thank you for the feedback. Will verify and update our video. Great catch!! And thank you for watching.

It’s been a great mower and if you stay on top of the maintenance including the tiny gear box oil changes and oil level, it should serve you well!
Missed the one underneath on the pivoting front axle
Thanks for the video, missed the back 3 as well
It’s good to hear it was helpful. Would sure appreciate you subscribing to our channel. Take care.

Bummer...sorry to hear that! Thank you for watching. Will be releasing a follow up video on zerks and blades.
-- thanks for the rundown 👌

Thank you for the info
I love your videos. What year is this 326? Do you still have it, and still working well? I'm looking at a 2007 right now.
There is one underneath where the front tire axle turns on the fram
Agreed. Accounted for that zerk in our writeup. Thanks
Thank you!
Thank you. The fittings on the shaft, how do you get the facing up. They always seem to facing the wrong direction.
So 20 fittings to grease in total?

Get yourself a battery grease gun you'll love it.
That sounds awesome!
mine has one on the front axle where it pivots in the center of the machine
Thanks for sharing. I just made it in from greasing my ZD326. 19 is the magic number.
How often do you change your fluids?

Is there one for the axel pivot joint. My zd1211 has one tgere
Yes there is. I discussed it in a separate video but neglected to update the Description in this video. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

@@Stromzilla 👍🏽🙏🏽
you missed the front center pivot fitting / you almost have stand on your head to greese it
Yes…was missed in the original video but discussed in the write up…good catch!
