I bought the same mower last summer with 780 hours on it. As you say, incredible machine. I have an electrical issue with one of the safety switches that won’t let it crank I’m trying to troubleshoot. Hopefully I get it fixed in time to mow. 😊 This was the second video I’ve watched of yours. Thank you for using your gifts and talents to share your faith with others.

I got a 331 and love it . I whoop on it hard with thick materials and small brush at times . It’s like an old timex watch . “Takes a lick’n and keeps on tick’n”.
Very heavy , lots of diesel torque and with basic maintenance it hangs with me . Great machine .

@@tristardiggin yes , I had a “bush hog” zero turn with a 25 HP Kawasaki some years back and it was pretty close to the 331 . I ended up selling to an older gentleman who mowed with it for 3 more years until he just wore it out . I think one has to be leary of the big box store brands . Those are just not the same . Seem to be light and flimsy .

Sam, you said you were no Mechanic looks like you did a Awesome job to me 👍 wow what a Awesome mower. I got a John deere riding lawn tractor some day hope to get a zero turn but it is a lot better than a push mower. Have you ever seen the Mojack EZ I bought one for changing blades very safe and fits a lot of mowers. Sam have you tried to back your mower up on car ramps and then raise the front and use some jack stands? Just a thought. Thanks Brother 👍 for Everything you do on a daily basis and for the Messages. Safe travels for you and your family. Hope you didn't get into trouble with the BOSS. LOL TAKE CARE BROTHER AND HAPPY EASTER

I stay in trouble with the Boss! Haven't seen the Mojack. Will look that up. I've tried alot of things some safe and some not so safe. As I get older I choose and prefer the safer way! 😜
Zero turns are great except for wet areas and slopes. They preform poorly on both of those areas. Thanks for the encouragement and faithfulness to watch and comment...

I make the “easy” but responsible decision every spring too. Glyphosate is bad news. Impacts and racket wrenches are my grabs after soaking (penetrating lube) on weathered bolts. Hard for me to suggest an idea to a man I look up to. My wife thinks it’s hilarious that I nose in with both you and Chris (letsdig18) after digging all day. Happy to report she enjoys the videos too.

    • @tristardiggin

Funny you say that because when I finished I thought why didn't I use the impact driver and zip those off and on.
I will take any suggestions you have.
Glad yall enjoy the videos and I do the same thing. Work all day, edit videos and watch dirt work on UA-cam.
Watching Chris with 571,000 subscribers and watching Tristar Diggin' is like watching a pro football team and a peewee football team🤪😁. It is mind boggling to see a channel have so many subscribers. Diesel Creek is killing it too, at 411,000 subs. WOW!!!

Also pin both front wheels before starting to crank up the front end. Front end will raise higher & keep the other wheel from getting into the platform & causing damage.

I've owned a ZD331 for years fuel from both tanks goes through both fuel filters. fuel filters are NOT fun to change. Install an inline filter before the Kubota fuel filters easy to do. Wix 33972 or Napa 3972. Very inexpensive insurance!

Sam , First of all Love how you use your videos to work in message about Jesus. I ALSO HAVE SAME MOWER EMISSIONS laws in California are why they discontinued this mower, and my biggest maintenance issue is also the fuel filter system, I remove the bracket since I’ve had it still flustered. My problem I’m looking for some way to make height adjustment control knob easier to turn any suggestions?

Funny you say that 🤣! I would like to know how to make it turn easier too🤪. I thought maybe it was just mine that was that way. When it was new it turned real easy. Now it's aggravating. I have soaked it with PB Blaster numerous times and doesn't help much.

I got looking into it. And yes that is a fuel pump that supplies the injection pump with pressure. If you have a no start issue. Check that first. I installed one and this engine fires right up. It’s a shame they scrapped this machine after they couldn’t figure out the no start they started stealing about $2000 (Canadian) in parts.
It’s still a win for me. This machine with these hours is going for 12k here in Ontario.

When you turn your key does the glow plugs not come on until you crank it? I just bought one and the light doesn’t come on until you are cranking it. I watched close while you started yours and didn’t see them pre heat before you cranked either

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  7 місяців тому +1

They don’t when you turn the key on but if you twist key just a bit before it engages the starter the glow plugs will kick in. Hold that position for a few seconds and then twist further to engage the starter. Hope that makes sense…
