    1.deep condition overnight
    2.the last rinse should always be cold water
    3.dry your hair with a microfiber towel or T-shirt.
    4.air dry but if you want to dry it differently or quickly use cold air settings with a bowl dryer
    3.use a satin pillow case
    4.use a light weight products to restyle and only restyle with one product
    5.use a gel without alcohol
    6.deep condition while doing and updo hairstyle

    • @nightangel3578
      @nightangel3578 8 років тому +15

      Like Mighty Liz said, add a good amount of conditioner and comb with a wide toothed comb. I usually let my deep conditioner sit for awhile then detangle as I'm rinsing. The comb glides right through my very thick hair.

      Night Angel hi, can u plz tell me how often is right to deep condition my hair? Once a week? Once s month?

    • @nightangel3578
      @nightangel3578 7 років тому +7

      Rehana Squire It's really all about listening to your hair. I deep condition weekly. If your hair is dry, maybe on the brittle side, I'd go for weekly. Purchase a deep conditioner that states to leave it in for minimum thirty minutes or make one yourself. Avocado, banana, honey, various oils (like olive, avocado, coconut, sweet almond, black seed, moringa, etc.) can all be blended until smooth, strained, and used like a deep conditioner. Babilon Kay has some really good recipes for hair treatments. Check her out. I hope this helps 😊.

    I love that I can deep condition in a hair style and just re-style over the next few days. I have never thought of re-styling in the way you described. I'm not sure you'll see this, but nonetheless I wanted to thank you for sharing everything that you have about your life and your journey through it. I recently just discovered your channel because for a long time, I would be so constantly obsessed with having to straighten my hair so I could look beautiful and be confident and it was time consuming and I got to a point recently where I was just tired of having to make time for it. So I began this I know now long journey of loving my hair, just as it is. I didnt realize how much I've been missing out on the freedom and the beauty of my hair. After seeing your curly routine video, I quickly began reading and researching and trying out new things. Here I am a few weeks later and still going strong! my hair texture gets better and better everyday and GIRL I AM SO GRATEFUL! I feel so much more confident. I am also from the Dominican Republic, and after seeing your draw my life video, I connected that much more to you and your messages about a healthy life. I have read several comments aboUT curly hair women not being attractive. These type of comments are stemmed from straight hair women who are jealous of the BEAUTIFUL curly hair women and the curly hair women most often are brown skinned, It is amazing how some women use the "hearsay" as an excuse to state their own personal vendettas,.

    Actually studies say deep conditioners stop working after 30min, and it's better to add heat while doing it to open the cuticle so it can actually penetrate. yeah leaving it overnight will make your hair soft, but only because you had it saturated in something. I'd buy something specifically overnight or if all you want is more slip, something natural like oils

    • @angelinarene8039
      @angelinarene8039 8 років тому

      Deep conditioners help me so...

    • @HeartRoses
      @HeartRoses 8 років тому +2

      +HachiJinkx Actually, If you have high porosity hair you do not need to add heat because your cuticles are naturally open (and that will further damage your hair). I was told that deep conditioning overnight is great for porous hair but I just know that it can be a tangle mess, since our cuticles are open they entwine with each other.

    • @Mrs.AlbaRamos
      @Mrs.AlbaRamos  8 років тому +11

      +HachiJinkx i believe its best to go off of experience and not follow blindly. experience has more belief and credibility to me. I don't believe there is a right or wrong here because you can deep condition for 30 mins and feel like its beneficial and you can benefit for 1 hour and feel its also beneficial. each hair absorbs moisture differently and not all deep conditioners are equal, the same way all hair absorption are not equal. when you go by experience you chose how long you want to leave it in for. The purpose of this deep conditioning hack is to make people feel like its an easier process and there's no need to wash it out that quickly if you don t want to. its best to do it than not do it all just because its late at night and you don't want to go top bed with wet hair.

      I when washing only use conditioner so that you're not stripping your hair. I love top knot when and after my workouts allows me to not have my hands in my hair all the time

    It's so wild to see people put such heavy products on their hair to moisturizer it!! If I did that with mine it would look like an oily, limp piece of cheese that had been left out on the counter for 4 hrs. Man I would kill for those beautiful curls!

      See i heard that there are two types of curly hair one that absorb water so fast the other is the opposite
      And that the first need heavy oil while the second need very light oils because if u put heavy oils on it it will just look like what u said in the comment. And i heard that there a simple test u can do to find out what oils fit with hair and what not....etc but a little reminder i just *heard* im not a professional or sth

    • @bittersweet7014
      @bittersweet7014 5 років тому +3

      It's all based on the type of curl and texture that you have. Also the amount and thickness. In my case I have to use lightweight products because although I have a good amount of hair, it's very thin and any other type of product would weigh it down. I would recommend to test out a few brands and different products and find out what works best for you.

    how do i deal with heat damage that ruined my curl pattern? i have parts of my hair that are pretty straight now and my curls aren't as tight and spirally as id like them to be anymore because of straightening my hair for six years straight. i've been curly for almost a year now and i dont see my curls returning.

    • @LoLoEaston
      @LoLoEaston 8 років тому +3

      Tip from a fellow curly headed girl: sadly ya gotta rebuild. I ruined my hair from years of straightening but after I got a very short bob cut it came back better than ever. you may not want to part with your long locks but it's really the most effective way.

      peachy pour flat beer all over it and let it sit a while while you wash your body in the shower. rinse off and see the difference - it helped spring mine back and I found the video on UA-cam some time ago.

    Some more tips:
    use a serum or oil for second day hair
    I keep this in the down low, but I use subliminals on youtube( look it up) for things like curl type, thickness and color if I want a change
    Pat your hair with paper towels to make it dry faster

    Question, Sun Kiss Alba or anyone here who knows .Do you have or know any type of cream that protecs your hair from very humid tropical weather while not leaving it dry?

    • @sarahduncan4449
      @sarahduncan4449 8 років тому

      You could use moisturizing cream, masques, coconut oil. I use Cantu curl activator and since I live in Texas I have to prevent dry hair literally every single day. It helps wonders and it only costs 5.99 at Sally's.
