Mr Kato was a man truly at peace and happy with his life , Mrs Kato no less happy , her knife skills were impressive . Above all the inspirational elder Mrs Kato , how I wish more people retained that interest in the world and its people 😊. Im sure she is an inspiration to many of the customers . I have to say , as a non- Japanese, I would have struggled to call Hinode Shokundo a Chinese Restaurant . To me, it seemed a typical , family run Japanese restaurant with some Chinese elements. I sincerely hope they can find a successor to carry on this valuable community service . They certainly made sure you were not going to faint with hunger during filming 😊😊

The Soba Daitsuki seriously looks amazing! And their Pork Cutlet set meal and the Chinese Soba noodle bowl with its clear yellow broth I saw being cooked has me thinking I should stay in the area and sample everything they have. You must have been stuffed full after filming all day. They make their food with love. What sweet people! Blessings to them and you!

The one thing I get out from watching these healthy older people is they work hard, but not in unhappy or stressful settings. They have simple, uncomplicated lives which are not worldly. I don’t wish to live till I am very old, but I wish and will make my life simple, uncomplicated, not stressful, and not worldly!!:)

松山は主人の故郷で懐かしく拝見しました。主人の母も南町で「いこい食堂」という日の出食堂さんと同じようなメニューでお店を出していました。母が生きていたら日の出食堂のお母様より二歳年上ぐらいです。松山の言葉も涙が出るくらい懐かしく、お母様にはいつまでもお元気でいて頂きたいです😊
山西の駅の裏手にあるお寺さんに父と母が眠っているのでお墓参りに帰った時には是非寄らせてもらいますね。

平凡に過ぎて行く一日で有りながら、平和の滔々さ(とうとさ)を感じさせてくれ、令和を忘れさせてくれる映像でしたね。戦後70年、戦争経験者の婆ちゃん。親の側で見習い、息子に受け継がせ、爺ちゃんの戦後の混乱期を側で見て来た今の婆ちゃん。家族の人柄を受け継いだ食堂だね。50年通い続けるお客さん。お互いの成長を見守り続けて来た人間関係。料理番組でも有りましたね。カメラマンさんが、料理に興味を持って撮影されている事がわかります。僕も自炊するので為になりましたよ。自分が小学生の時、駄菓子屋さんで焼いて食べれる、お好み焼きを思い出しました。婆ちゃんの焼き蕎麦が食べたくなりましたね。日の出食堂さんが愛されている理由が理解できる映像でした。

お母さまが元気なのがいい。昨夏旅立った母より4つ上でまだ矍鑠とされてる。母は発症してひと月で旅立ちましたが、それまでは普段通り。お母さまを拝見して、我が母と共通しているのは、台所はお任せすること。きつかったら必ず声掛けするので、それまではとにかく任せること。子供としても母が出してくれた料理、そして台所で頑張ってる姿は嬉しくもあり誇らしくもあり元気である証拠と思うものです。こういう「食堂」が末永く残ってくれますように。お母さまの更なるご長寿を祈念します。

俺の隠れ家的店がバレてしまった。
ここの中華そば（ラーメン）は唯一無二の味。
尖った味のラーメンが流行る今の時代にこんなに優しい味の美味しいラーメンは本当に貴重だよ。いなり寿司との相性も抜群。
この店の中華そばを無性に食べたくなる時があり週一回は必ず行っています。
中華そばといなり寿司をまず食べて欲しいね。
ちなみに人気サッカー漫画の「アオアシ」でもこの店は登場しますよ。

日の出食堂さんは素晴らしい食堂ですね。ご家族の息のあったお料理作りは温かくて、とても懐かしい感じがしました。おそばを先に炒めてソースで味付けしてから作るモダン焼きは私の小さい頃、近くのお好み焼き屋さんで作ってもらったものと同じ方法だったので、驚きと嬉しさでいっぱいになりました。これからも皆さんお元気でお店を続けて頂きたいと思います。応援させて頂きます✨😌✨❤
