One arm push-ups might be easier than you think!
Unilateral pushing (and pulling) can sometimes help us even out lateral imbalances and translate to a lot of daily activity - opening doors, throwing, punching, and more!
(I guess some people punch every day - hopefully not towards random people).
As usual you can build up with easier variations!
Some people might prefer to go directly to the one arm pushup and assist with, say, a resistance band.
While that's fine and might theoretically get you there faster, I find it nice to develop a variety of pushing skills and positions on the way! Just something to play around with.
Hope this can help! Have a wonderful day.

So every morning I have been using the bathroom sink which is lower to try to build up doing push-ups with my elbows in. Every week I move my feet further back. A few respectful criticisms, the reliance on a super wide stance and limited range of motion significantly reduces the difficulty of the movement and giving you’re only pushing 50% of your total body weight in any push up a strict variation isn’t exactly unreasonable. The balance is the hard part, making it too easy removes any unique benefit. Training both sides evenly is also just pedantic ocd, everyone has a strong side genetically that should be trained to its potential if you want to maximise your real world strength , equally, if you do want to mitigate imbalances, it makes more sense to do higher reps on the weaker side, not arbitrarily assume they can manage the same load with equal form and tension. It ends up being a best of neither scenario where you’re not fully counter balancing your weak side nor actualising the strength of your strong side
