    I surprised myself with this one! I went into this quick little 10 minute beat making session with absolutely no idea what I was going to make. Apparently I had a chill beat waiting inside my head because that's what came out! All in under 10 minutes. Minus the lead and the performance of course. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the beat but after listening to it a few times it's definitely growing on me!

    How long do you take on your beats?

    • @BradTennant

      15 minutes is pretty fast! Fast enough to get the ideas flowing anyway. Keep it up!

      For me it depends. If I'm just laying down ideas in an 8 to 16 bar loop, anywhere from 10 mins and up. I use a lot of time in sound selection after laying out the idea lol

    yo brad can you mention the aux in safety of the op1 in a vid soon? really wondering what the accidental phantom power would do to it

    • @denyel_
      @denyel_ 3 роки тому +1

      not really sure how to safely connect it to an interface because of all the warnings :(

    • @BradTennant
      @BradTennant  3 роки тому

      Plugging something with phantom power into the line-in on the OP-1 is a bad idea. The way I usually get audio into my line-in is from a line out jack from my audio interface. Depending on which interface I’m working with, that could be just a simple aux cable or a 1/4 Y to 3.5mm
      Getting audio out of the OP-1 and into the interface I found a weird combo of a 3.5mm to xlr female coupled with a 1/4in to xlr female. Every other audio cable o tried delivered a weak signal and this somehow works perfectly. I’ve never run into any issues plugging into an audio interface with phantom power on.
