These comments are trash. He's a smart guy who analyzes life more deeply than most people, most of their guests. Because he's not a thug, that's how you guys react? Do better.

I agree. He's solid and a very sharp comedian. Charlemagne needs to stay in his lane and not talk politics. He's terrible. Especially with his Nancy Reagan comment

This dude is very intelligent and has depth to his thinking. I am shocked how many people are riding him. He is on the road to being a modern Dick Gregory. He is not hood, but he is far from an Uncle Tom. Disliking him because he is dfferent says more about you than him. Open your mind, this fight we(minorities) are in requires all types of soldiers. Let em' work. IJS

Dude has MASSIVE potential due to his universalness. He crosses cultural, ethnic and gender borders with his comedy. Many and even most great comedians have mastery over the ability to be engaging while simultaneously being dismissive. Carmichael already has that down to a science. I think he needs to work on injecting more humor/hilarity into his jokes tho

Jerrod's biggest hurdle is being smarter than his audience.
In this age of instant gratification, twitter, instagram etc... "regular" people are so used to processing information at a lightening pace, a dude who says things that can't be digested that way seems... odd.
He's definitely the most gifted dude telling jokes right now, though. Don't knock him till you've watched the special, twice.

+Liz Richardson talking about hypothetical things esp, "big picture" ideas, helps you deal with smaller, practical matters and gain understanding in general, very simple ex - when you're thirsty (practical matter), what do you do to solve the issue? hydrate, because you have an understanding of how the human body works - the more you understand the way the world/people/society/politics, etc., works, the easier it becomes to get solutions or at least easier to manage.

    • @lizrichardson9312

Sel am How is contemplating what one would wish for if they were being raped and saw a shooting star comparable to collaborative discussion about ideas that can produce tangible positive solutions in people's lives? Context is important. Big picture right? Lol

This guy is a great example of someone who's "beloved" for the same reason that they're "hated". He makes you uncomfortable emotionally and intellectually. Although he's certainly a "thinking mans" comic, Idk if challenging is the right way to describe his comedy. Either way he's a breath of fresh air in modern pc, hyper sensitive, effeminate society

He is gonna have to get some media training so he'll be able to learn how to interview better and stay on one topic because he was talking about about 5-10 things in an answer, where it only required one simple comment. Which is why the show is so appropriate for him, because he seems to constantly have thoughts in his mind.
The show is actually very good tho, he speaks about a lot of issues going on in the African-American community in a comedic way. Every character in the show which is based on his family is almost and extension of his actual thoughts in real life.

Dude has a good funny show and it makes you think. Every black person doesn't think the same. And he points that out plus a lot of black people think and feel the way he does. But won't say it out loud. I think a show like he's is needed we need positive young educated black males on television to balance out the dumb what a be thugs. He also points out more then one point of view on his show. I peeped it out months ago on Hulu Plus and I thought they cancelled the show because there were only a few episodes. Glad to see NBC brought it back for another season.

His mannerisms and way of speaking kind of remind me of Will Smith

Idk I might be buggin but I think he fleshed out his thoughts very well. I think he gives u the other side of the coin in which ur not thinking of. Y'all minds just not open enough to understand the shit he saying. Boi is dead smart his comedy is very thought provoking and just different. Instead of tryin to bring the next blk man down why not try to understand what he is saying.
