I love how Mary Magdalene just smiles with understanding.
I was going to say the same. So supportive! Nice contrast to Peter. We all have our strengths and weaknesses.
V Betta exactly!
I love how it's getting more recognition that herself, and several other women, were in fact disciples of Christ in addition to the twelve [traditionally mentioned men].👍
Yep, she understands, and a look is all that is needed! Beautifully shot too!

LOL THAT’S SO TRUE
ahahah indeed!
AMEN ❤️❤️❤️
THIS is such an amazing comment!! 🤣🙌🏽
A measly tax collector ends up writing one of the Books of Gospel. Imagine what Christ can do in our lives if we let him

@@kamranmahfooz12 Guess what, he is!!! When Jesus went up to heaven, the holy spirit came down to live in those who believe in Jesus, although we don't see him inthe flesh, at least the holy spirit lives inside of us!!
This actor who plays Matthew is so good. Surprise, disbelief, hopefulness, joy ... all written on his expressions. Amazing actor.
He’s excellent indeed!
I love his awkwardness, bluntness, wonder, and gradual growth throughout the series. He is very relateable for people who are seeking or new to the faith in Jesus! Plus he is one of the gospel writers, showing he had important use for that tablet.
And in real life he is actually a very handsome man.
@@ccefc_families297 I’ve read other comments that maybe don’t dislike the characteristics you’ve described, but don’t like the way they’re played out because they’re interpreting them as being autistic traits.
@@dongatello6969 I totally thought Matthew acted a bit high functioning autistic while watching the show also
He chose Matthew, someone whose family had rejected him and all his fellow Jews considered a sinner beyond forgiveness, praise God He came save sinners such as him and Me!
James, Jesus is Matthew's family. A first cousin through Joseph.
James Beacham well said. I find myself in his portrayal
James Beacham Amen 🙏🏼
Not a Christian.. but what you say is so damm true.... this the first and only quality of a great teacher.. Some one like that who had faith in my abilities when no one else had saved me from a very stupid thought of self harm...I found myself in Matthew that I really cried and is emotional as I'm writing this.... this scaen was so fulfilling to me...
@@nancyjanzen5676 prove it
Wow. As beautiful as this scene is, I so recognize myself in Simon. Simon is no better than Matthew, yet he still considers himself able to sit in judgment. How often do we as Christians do the exact same thing? We are all sinners saved by grace; yet, we sit ready to condemn other people due to their pasts. After all, we never did what they did; our sin was "different". God forgive us.
Well said!
The parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector comes to mind
Yes you're absolutely right
So true. Saved in His righteousness Alone😭❤️
This, I think every Christian can relate to Peter at one point in life. Be it Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, etc. Some people in all branches seem to be so focused on condemning one another and others with either disgust or contempt. Forgetting that Jesus came here to redeem the world.
Oh Lord, please give us, your children, a heart filled with humility.
I got teary-eyed since this felt like my conversion story. When Jesus calls and you feel so unworthy but He calls you anyways because He knows you and loves you. God is so good!

@@grantdeancommons5390 I've jus came across it, in fact this was the first scene I've watched, but certainly won't be the last. I've recently prayed for God to help me with seeing all the good in life and wow has he shined his light on so much! Y'all be blessed.
Much grace to you Vince ,glad the Lord is in your life, have you received Him into your heart to be your Lord and saviour, just call on His name and ask Him to make home in your heart and He will do that and be your friend,Amen 🙏

I absolutely love how Jesus answers all three questions at once.
"You want me to join you?"
"Do you have any idea what this guy has done?"
Do you even know him?"
"Yes."
Whoa. I didnt even think of that
Yes, I love that part!!
Matthew 5:37 " But let your statement be, 'Yes, yes' or 'No, no'; anything beyond these is of evil.
This was about the 10th time I've watched this scene...and it hit me - His "yes" was answering more than one question. Great scene.
Peter often forgets that Yeshua is all knowing.
"Get used to different" - Yip...once you encounter the King, everything goes different!
Oh.. Yeah... I felt like Alice down the Rabbit Hole in my life after my baptism.
Still can't believe it's the same world I lived in before I got baptised.
Everything feels so unreal.
It's like I'm just waking up to the Reality and everyone else is still caught up in a trance, in an obsessive compulsion. That leads to destruction.
Now, people are just zipping into and out of and into and out of my life, and I'm a complete nobody. In fact, more of a nobody today than ever before, since when I was saved, at least I was a Medical Student, with his life paved for him.
I had a crush. I had a dream.

@David Horyzzon - Nothing is unchanged and all that is left behind never was worthy of our attention. Been there, doing that.
yep, right there's a word!
It gave me chills when Matthew gave up everything so he can go with Jesus. He’s so amazing!
As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow Me," He told him, and Matthew got up and followed him. - Matthew 9:9
Yasss!❤🙏Praise the Lord, IH my soul!
Jesus said, "I tell you the truth no one will see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." For God so loved the world that He give His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the World through Him. For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, and All who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. " If you want to be sure of Heaven and avoid the other place below say the following prayer sincerely from your heart." Lord Jesus I repent and am sorry for my sins forgive me. I forgive all who have offended me. Come into my heart and save me. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and baptise me with your Holy Spirit. As someone like me with ADHD , I love Matthew's autistic precision and articulate mindset lol
St Matthew is a true apostle of our Lord.
Jesus chose him RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS SIN. He was literally caught with his hand out, taking money from the poor. Yet Jesus chose him. I absolutely love this scene.
Come just as you are......He is waiting for you....
He also left the SIN immediately, dont forget that
❤
@@benzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzs Well, hooray for him, for being born in the right time to witness magic first hand and thus aiding his belief; a pity magic has left the world and nobody gets saved mid-sin anymore, and yet get judged for it. The mental gymnastics to stick up for the big guy on this decision is staggering.
@@BigMisterApple the "magic" is the least interesting thing about Jesus.
I love how Mary knows. She's the only one grinning at Matthew's calling. She, too, was rejected by Jewish society. She understands more than any of the others.
She wasn't really rejected.
Yeah the woman who wasn’t raped and didn’t care enough to help me. Where’s all my blessings? All I did was produce hard work and defend God but that’s not enough I guess. Mary just rolled out of the bed and was taken care of but apparently I was not loved enough even for that
@@Rhanz2021 she was called lillith. In my opinion thats rejection. And even without that, people called her a witch as well.
Paras Patel is so brilliant as Matthew and Jonathan Roumie is so brilliant as Jesus, the pair of them in this scene is just perfection 👌🏽
Absolutely...Paras Patel in his best ever and memorable character
Yes I would totally agree...!!!! Paras Patel 👏👏👏
You guys, as someone with aspergers, and have difficult social life, yall have no idea how much this portrayal meant to me. ♥
Ive always been kinda of an outcast because people find me weird , overly "quirky"; when all i really need is people who understands and gently guide me to what is right.
To see St. Matthew portrayed as having the same struggles as me is...😭🙏
God bless you.
I can see that and I relate to Matthew a lot too...🙏🏻

I really love how Matthew is portrayed in The Chosen. This is by far one of my favorite scenes. ❤️
Me too! 😍
Absolutely!

I couldn't agree more!
I'd rewatch it all over again
I love how Jesus doesn't get angry with Simon for questioning his actions. I mean, this is Jesus. Almighty God. Yet, he humbles himself and just speaks the truth in love. How much we have to learn from our Master!
Yes🙌💙
Yup! Amen!
I love it cause He understands that Simon’s human. I feel we’d all at one point, act and feel like Simon and that’s ok. It’s human nature and Jesus understands. And He knew that the time will come when His disciples will see and understand what He sees and understands. They’re still new and they have a lot to learn before they’re ready to spread His word, but they’ll get there in time
He understands that simon and just human and he didn't understand why he calls Matthew to join them inspite of the fact that he's a tax collector.
I have never cried more than I have watching this show.... Like every single episode makes me cry because there's something beautiful in it.. That makes me think, as good as the show is, it's the story behind it that strikes deep within me
Indeed and that is why non-funadmentalist christians think that the core of the bible is literally true but that it's been dressed up a little with metaphor.
Jesus : That's not going to be a problem tonight. You're the host.
AHhhhh that's wonderful.
@Wesley King yeah I binged the entire season with my dad a few months ago. And when Jesus said that, we just burst out laughing, especially in response to that facial expression.
Mary's smile when he says that is perfect too.
"do you have any idea what this guy has done?" said the church. Jesus said. "yes".
And He knows better than any of us. If He therefore, did not condemn neither should we
@@mi-ka-eltheguardian3837 true! the church needs to get away from condemnation. the only thing that condemns people is rejecting Jesus.
Even same thing was asked by Pharisee and did the same when he sees Jesus eating with sinners but Jesus clearly said he came to call sinner and not righteous
Woww❤️
very true!! well said!
I love how this scene juxtaposes what Jesus did in the actual societal/cultural context. Gaius is angry at him for abandoning his post and turning his back on Rome and the security/wealth it provides. Peter and the other disciples are mad at him for being a tax collector and betraying their people. This is a seemingly impossible gap to overcome, that everyone is fighting against, yet in just a few words Jesus does it. "Get used to different." Wow, what an inspiration and beautiful moment.
Thats why Mathew is more greater than Nicodemus , He throw away anything he have , the lesson from Matthew = you chose God or money ???
I think it's less so money that Nicodemus was unable to walk away from, and more so his family.
nicodemus had a much hard choice and it was not money or jesus. eventhough he should have chosen jesus, we cant just says words, put yourself in nicodemus's shoes, it was a hard desicion.
You do have a point, however nicodemus has lots to lose. Although yes, he should have chose Jesus, he didn’t want to leave his family and would have made a bad impact on his name and family
Yes Nicodemus choice was more reputation. Why do we care so much about this non quantifiable thing. He would have brought shame to the family name. Thats all reputation but to give that up for eternal life it easy to say but hard to do. Matthew had no life.
They totally had a different position in life. Niko had a family, an aging wife, he was very old to walk lengthy distances, his family would probably be killed and humiliated by their followers if he would of left. Matthew was single and wasn't close with his family. He was very young and needed a feeling to belong in a group. Jesus understood niko but the offer was open but still he understood.
I love the newfound determination in Matthew's eyes. For once, he has been accepted, and the look he gives Gaius as he's leaving the tax booth shows that he's never been more sure in his life at leaving everything behind.
Regardless of what’s to come, he knows he’s made the right decision. And in the end, he did.
Jesus said, "I tell you the truth no one will see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." As many times as I have watched each episode, I just noticed Matthew grabbing the tablet and Jesus saying maybe he will have use for it... Moved to tears at scenes like this. Especially knowing how rejected someone like Matthew had been in those times with being a tax collector. And just having Jesus exceed and challenge Matthew's own expectations.

this show definitely has an anointing. no matter what episode, no matter what scene, no matter how many times i replay an exact same scene over and over again, i still get chills and my heart feels light. oh how i wish everyone in the world gets to watch the chosen!
Same feeling here. I came across a random clip while scrolling on my phone and I couldn't take my eyes of it. A few minutes later, I looked for it and saw the first 4 eps back to back! This happened about 2 weeks ago! My spirit rejoices in it!!!
I love how when Jesus says “yes” he’s answering both Matthew and Simon. It reminds me how Jesus can take a word and that one word will affect many in so many different ways. I love this scene so much. And how Mary stands there with that sweet smile on her face not surprised at all but pleased that Christ would ask a sinner like Matthew to follow Him. This scene has so many layers. I love it ❤️
not just that, but the entire time Jesus maintains eye contact with Matthew. That unflinching, warm gaze pierces the heart (in a good way) that says "I know" in a much deeper way than the spoken answer "Yes."
And Andrew has a veeeery slow turn of the head toward Jesus with a curious look that is kind of one of those "What is happening, but at the same time, He's the Messiah, so He knows what He's doing, right?"
When Matthew really make sure that Jesus called him because he is not welcome by anyone. He is like, Are you serious Lord? Are you sure?He is so hungry in a relationship. And Jesus gave that to Him
So many times in my Christian life when Jesus has called me back to Him, I have asked Him, are you sure, Lord? His answer is always yes.
Wow, Jesus knew
That's one of our favorite "faces" of Matthew, Phoebelyn.
Such a great scene. The Matthew character is one of the most interesting in the show. I really looked forward to this scene, and now to how discipleship might affect his character and personality.
We are looking forward to diving deeper into Matthew and his character and relationship with the other disciples in future seasons.
@@TheChosenSeries Praise the Lord!
Matthew had NO relationship with anyone besides his dog and Jesus reached out and gave him the best relationship to anyone ever in life. LOVE THIS SCENE
When I started watching the show, I longed for this moment. Matthew was such an intriguing character. His world of logic and numbers was shattered by a man he could not understand. I just wanted to see when Jesus would call him. I remember after finishing an episode around 12:30 am, watching three more in a row just because I needed to see this moment. Sure, the morning after was awful, but man the scene was worth it. Love this show.
Each time Jesus says “Follow Me” it knocks my heart out. Is that good? The way The Chosen represents the character of Matthew is magnificent. Not only he had to live à divergent life, but he also is so different than we expect. A great actor doing a great job makes you love the taxman even more. Amen 🙏🏻 🙏🏻🙏🏻

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO SAINT MATTHEW, NINTH CHAPTER, NINTH TO THIRTEENTH VERSES
The Calling of Matthew
⁹ As JESUS went on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow Me,” He told him, and Matthew got up and followed Him. ¹⁰ While JESUS was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with Him and His disciples. ¹¹ When the Pharisees saw this, they asked His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” ¹² On hearing this, JESUS said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. ¹³ But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
I love the sense of confidence and assertiveness that shows in Matthew's eyes when he talks to Gaius on the way out. It's something that we don't see in him until this scene. But being in the presence of Jesus does that to you..."he gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist." It's like he called the real Matthew to the surface. It's beautiful. Jesus is beautiful. This scene is beautiful. Ugghhh. Really thankful for this project :)
Beautiful said my dear.. ❤
God's unmerited G R A C E in one scene.... "GET USED TO DIFFERENT"
“Get used to different” 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
With eyes of love, compassion, understanding, trust acceptance and assurance Jesus drew people. And I love how this scene showed just that. Reaching out to some of the most outcast within the Jewish community. It's no wonder Matthew didnt hesitate. As always thank God for the gift that is The Chosen.
How lucky were those who were called by Jesus on that epic journey.
I love this scene, Mary's quiet understanding is contrasted with Simon Peter ready to punch him (Matthew not Jesus). Anyone notice in the background that Andrew is smiling and accepting?
I love how they're all portrayed. It's so HUMAN.
This has to be one of the best scenes. "Do you even know him?"
"Yes"
Jesus knows.... Yet He calls us anyway. Now that, is love! ♥️
Yup! Sure is! No CVs, Cover Letters or Interviews needed. He Knows us, through and through, down to Simon Peter's triple denial of Him before the rooster crows [twice]. But He chose us anyway.
Absolutely love the way you presented the call on Matthew's life. The entire season is breathtaking. Thank you for producing a well-crafted & impactful telling of Jesus, his ministry & the lives of those he chose to follow him. It has become our nightly family devotions; followed by sharing what spoke to us in the episode & reading the book of Matthew.
@Dallas Jenkins the amazing thing to me is that, when this was in the planning stages, who could have guessed that it would come to fruition just when the entire world was locked down at home with very little to do except...watch TV. God's timing is astounding!
I like this scene..Matthew is resolving but Peter is struggling. And Jesus is at the center of it.Praise God!Sometimes we have these conflict with co-believers but in Christ, we are one.
I love this scene!! One of my Top 10 favorites scenes of The Chosen
this scene and mary being called are my top 2 scenes, out of many
I love the look on Mary's face at 2:39 when Jesus tells Matthew that he is the host for the dinner party. It's like her look was saying "Buddy, you haven't seen anything yet. Just wait."
It's the little details that we love too! :)
Amazing!!! I can imagine Mathews first encounter being just as you portrayed it. Him feeling so outcast and alone, and desperately needing to feel wanted and loved. I can imagine him being shocked Jesus wanted him, and wondering in his mind why would Jesus want me I am a bad sinner, and Mathew immediately got up went with him, and discarded everything he had for the true meaning of life, Jesus Christ. But Jesus welcomed the most unlikeliest of persons such as Mathew whoom he called to be his desciple, who went on to become a great Apostle for Christ. Jesus gravitated towards the rejected, the outcast, the insignificant, they were all significant to him, we are all significant to him. He knows everything about us even the worst, yet he loves us and gives us forgiveness. What a wonderful Savior we have, and God bless you Chosen.
Whenever I remember how Jesus' heart went to the less-than people of society as the ones to establish himself first and foremost... it always moves me.
Then perhaps there is yet hope, for me and for our kind. Praise God!

This is one of my favorite scenes in the whole series!
I think it's so funny when Matthew says "I'm not welcome at Dinner parties." And Jesus is like, "That won't be a problem this time. You're the host."
My favorite scene from the series.
“Get used to different “ love it ❤️❤️🌹. Thank You Jesus for your Love ❤️
Love this scene. Truly speaks to the fact that Jesus sees us, our hearts and what we can do through Him and when we commit to Him. You got to get used to different with Jesus and trust Him.
My favourite detail is at the end when Matthew says that he brought his writing tablet by mistake, but Jesus said, "You may yet find use for it." This is because Matthew wrote the first book of the Four Gospels out of everything he wrote down while he was with Jesus!
Dallas,
Jesus is so clearly Lord and completely unfazed by Gaius’ threats. Perfection!
I love too that Jesus didn’t embrace Matthew right away. It simply would have been a sensory overload to do so. Well done!
Yeah I don't think he was paying much attention to Gaius at all, even after he reached for his blade.
And that IS true. Their first true encounter was in the previous episode, and I think it helps that he didnt call him there, because he had another entire episode to dwell and think on it, after struggling to look.for answers, and failing, but he cant stop thinking about it. In some ways, he felt even more alone after the meeting with his mother where he failed again to find answers, but was even more shunned.
He wants to understand, but he's missing the feeling of acceptance, and THEN Jesus comes back, and offers it to him.
And I love how you can see all of it in Jesus's eyes, that look of acceptance, desire, and love he has for Matthew, hearing him say he wants him to join him was confusing to everyone, but Matthew actually saw how genuine he was.
I noticed the same in the episode before this with the pharasee rudely questioning him about on who's authority does he preach, before healing the paralysed guy.
Like the Lord doesn't even acknowledge the threats of an unbeliever he's that unfazed by it (obviously 😂)
This scene made me feel so welcomed and accepted, because I know that Jesus accepts those who aren't accepted on earth, and he gives them a place to be with him if they believe. This show has really given me such a great feeling of rejoicement and thankfulness!
0:33 that look right there! the look of someone free about to see someone new's freedom.
Well done Dallas, I see you brought Matthew out of his cage/captivity and brought him out into the LIGHT!!!!!
I was so excited for Matthew's call and it was just brilliant 😭😭😭♥️♥️ ok, truth be told, this whole series is beautiful, sweet... blessed
This scene shows how the Father is the One that gives the Son His children. And how in scripture it says that whoever the Father gives, Jesus does not reject. At the moment that Jesus paused and looked back, I saw it as the Father speaking to Him that Mathew was a chosen One. Just beautiful! Amazing job ✅👍
Ella J. Love this ❤️
Yeah this is a film, not scripture. Don't get your theology from a movie.
Dylan Jesus referred to the Twelve as “those whom You gave Me.” The Father chose each of them and drew them to Christ, to serve as His inner circle and eventually become the 12 Judges and Princes of the 12 Tribes.

Love little Matthew . Can’t say enough how great the casting is for this show and how great the series is . 🙌🏻 ...”GET USE TO DIFFERENT”
I love Simons response. “What are you doing?” He’s so straightforward. 😂😂😂
I relate to Simon a worrying amount 😂
*Peter:* "Do you even know him?"
*Jesus:* "🙂...Yes."
Ughhhhh! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Edit: Oh man! One thing I just noticed is Matthew was portrayed as timid, and was always fidgeting and couldn't hold eye-contact with anyone. But as soon as Gaius tells him what he has and asks if he's going to throw it all away, for the first time Matthew is standing straight up, head held high, eyes locked on Gaius', and he confidently says, "Yes." I might need to watch this whole thing again! So many little details!
Yes!!! I noticed this, too! One of my favourite moments :)
That is very true, and a very interesting detail. As someone who is on the autism spectrum and ADHD which is similar to Asperger's, this is a pretty common thing for me, where I tend to fidget a lot, I don't make that much eye contact, and half of the time I am sort of timid. But yeah, as soon as he gets called to follow Jesus, he stands up for himself against Gaius and shows just how serious he has ALREADY become for this new cause.
I really love watching Matthew's scenes with the knowledge that his character and i (possibly the actor too) have this diagnosis in common, because the thing is, with me being a very committed Christian (and you can see just how passionate I am in my faith in videos hehehehe) and watching the possibility of one of Jesus' followers being a man with asperger's/autism, something about it just gets my whole head spinning, and it really solidifies certain personal beliefs that I have in regards to God and disabilities and purpose. Like it doesn't matter what we are born with, God can still call you to do incredible things, even writing one of Christ's gospels....😊
@@isaactheworshipwarrior6687 Dallas said he is playing Matthew has someone who as Aspergers.
@@balung yeah I know
I love this scene between Matthew and Yeshua. It is so powerful and so meaningful.
Why can't i stop my eyes from tearing tears Every time i watch this episode? 😰
jhie neri God’s love is sincere and keeps us out of harms way.Let us not get forgetful & devote to his will.
It's when Jesus tells Nicodemus "Blessed are those who take refuge in him" and hugs him, I teared up like nobody's business. I felt that.
LOVE this scene!!! Matthew’s eyes say it all. When Jesus first calls his name, it’s as if He has hit him with a 2x4! Then immediately, Matthew left everything to follow. When Jesus called my name, it was another 2x4 experience. In my mid-thirties. I’m eternally grateful that He came after me when and how He did. In unmistakable and irresistible ways! Thank you for every scene like this that shows the profound and unconventional love of Jesus. Get Used to Different, indeed!!!
Much like God's work in our lives, this scene is a masterpiece. From Mary's smile, the music that mirrors Matthew's heart, to Jesus's gentle and firm admonishment of Peter - anything more might have discouraged Peter (Col 3:21), anything less might not have done what was needed.
But my absolute favorite are the emotions portrayed on Matthew's face. When Peter asks Jesus if he knows what Matthew has done, if He even knows Matthew, I read the expression on Matthew's face as he himself is wondering those things, wondering whether Jesus doesn't know the extent of his deeds, whether Jesus is mistaken in His calling of Matthew. But Jesus doesn't break eye contact and says yes. And that is all Matthew needs. Nothing stops him coming to Jesus after that.
Thank you to the entire Chosen team.
"You're the host", the greatest line of the episode. Well written my friend!
Such a beautiful scene, one of my favorites
I love Matthew of all the followers. He is so funny and relatable as he has got ASD.
0:03 Besides, what else are you gonna do with a mind like yours?
Funny you should ask that because Jesus is literally walking by right now. 😊
😊
I've watched this more times than I can count. All of it is rich with depth and emotion, and the music is intoxicatingly perfect for it all. Yet, the part I love the most is at the very end when Jesus tells Matthew, "... you're the host." It's not the words as much as it is Mary Magdalene's subtle smile behind them both. It is the briefest of gestures that hints at the biggest of things: knowing that Jesus loves you regardless of your past transgressions, that His forgiveness transcends all. It's these little subtleties that Dallas Jenkins engenders from his cast, who are all richly talented and willing to give the best they have. Elizabeth Tabish is simply sublime in this instance. Thank you to all involved in telling this story in this format. Well done, indeed!
The scenes and shots are so beautiful and smooth. Really appreciate the cinematography of it all as a young filmmaker and believer. This show has inspired me to use my talents also to bring people closer to God through stories and more, and I plan to provide my fish and loaves so that God can feed the thousands like He has through the Chosen. Can't wait for future seasons and I pray one day I'll get to help out on a season and work with Dallas and the wonderful crew and cast.
Musique good!

Fish and loaves. Maybe I've got something to offer also. I know where to get real fish and loaves. And if that doesn't work, I've got other stuff I can work on.
I would love to do this, too. I hope it happens for you!!!

“Get used to different” LOVE JESUS! ❤️❤️
Great acting in the Matthew role. Yes, Yes in the whole series there is great acting, but I really like the Matthew character.
Every...single...time this scene makes me choke up.💕. One of my favorite scenes❣️
One of my fav scenes in season 1. Got me teary, the first time I watched. I have watched it many times and it still ministers to me. The metaphors are profound. Matthew's reaction is gold. Glory to God for the talent He's given these actors and the entire production crew.
"Get use to different"
I hear that line and all i can think is "YES! Thank You Sweet Jesus!"
Dallas it doesn't matter which scene you show or how many times I have seen it my tears are jerked from my eyes! I love how the one that played Jesus looks at Matthew in this scene. Have you ever just sat and pondered what it will be like when you look into the eyes of Jesus? I have and it's a good quiet time thought and let it take you wherever the Holy Spirit leads.
Gosh...reasons why I Iove adoration. It's a time to sit with Jesus. He's looking at me and I'm looking at him. We talk...😊
@@Cecilia.27 Amen!

@ 0:37 , the pleading, quizzical look in Matthew's eyes gets me every time.
Matthew's reaction is hilarious. He was so shocked that he was chosen to follow Jesus.😢😢😢
I loved when Jesus say to Mathew you "You are the host : )" so meaning! We are all the host because the entire heaven celebrated when one of us attend the Jesus call and choose fallow him.
I love that look on Mary's face. She knows what is just about to happen.
There goes Jesus with His loving “I’m gonna get you, Matthew. You’re mine.”
Love this scene! I’m ready for more episodes!
