Today we are unboxing a Venezianico Redentore Ultrablack, a watch with a dial painted with Musou black that absorbs 99,4% of the light making it Ultra black, as the name suggests.
40mm in diameter and powered with a Seiko NH35 movement it an affordable alternative to uber expensive Vanta Black watches that absorb 99,945%

It reminds me of a Movado museum watch. Curious how the logo is similar to Vacheron Constantin. I have a 20 year old Movado 38mm two tone quartz. It does work as well as a dress watch. Much thinner too.

Cool… they should smother that crystal in Ar coating top and bottom so the dial can really shine
Absurdly chunky imo. Feel the logo is a bit too far down as well. Domed crystal is also not the right idea here, I feel. Either way, it's basically inspired by a Movado museum, but all the ways it diverges are not good ones. 36-38mm and about 10-11mm thick at most is the way to go with these simpler watches. For three-hand dress watches, hand-wound movements are a great way to have the mechanical prestige while preserving thinness.
Too bold,I think with some nice double finished small indices would be much more appealing.500€ for a dial?

@@griffon2-6 there is no reason for a none complicated watch to be so unnecessarily cumbersome. Nothing to do with willy waving wrist sizes

Love the watch and concept but the reflection on the crystal spoils the look.
They really need a good AR coating.

I bought it too. beautiful but a little too thick. Excellent Seiko movement. perhaps a little too much reflection from the glass to appreciate the splendid dial.
It’s kinda dumb, they tried to make it look like your average smartwatch. They should have combined the traditional watch dial design but use this kind of black. That would have been awesome. I wouldn’t spend a dime on a watch that looks like yesterday’s Samsung Galaxy on clearance.
Kiwami black is even better to use...made in velvet sheets: 99.75% black

Watch Geek being a subscriber now for many years, it's sad to you veered from your timepiece review and tutorials that cause most of the watch community to be your subs, of what we know is our and your true love Casio G-shocks, we so enjoyed your enthusiasm and love for teaching but now for quite sometime it's these simply redundant fashion watches that are asinine and so ridiculously over priced. We hopefully look for you to return to your roots and enlarge your first love G-Shock for compared G-Shock all other timepieces are simply second class at best and we all know it!

I am done with these hyped up false reviews. I'm truly pissed off. I got the watch today and guys..... if you want to buy it for the "absolute black", the pitch black you've never seen before and all that crap... Well it isn't, I found it washed out, no depth to it. Just an average microbrand badly executed crap I am returning tomorrow. Not to speak about the misaligned cross logo and irregular finish on the hands. Please don't buy it, it really sucks for all those reasons you'd buy it for. By the way I'm from Italy so I'm even more disappointed about this disaster piece.

Seems rather pointless. Visually it's simple and appealing. But the paint is supposed to be non reflective, yet you have to put a reflective glass (sapphire) on it which makes it reflective anyways. Maybe seeing it in person is different, but over video it just appears to be a normal black watch
