The death knight is so relatable. In several RPG’s, there is a character that I will protect at all costs. Sometimes it’s not even part of the main cast, it’s just a character that is kind and helpful. Funny how small things like that can get us invested in the story and world.

Just recently, Daphne from Dragon’s Dogma 2. That child is if a hug physically manifested into a person. She’s selfless, kind, and genuinely loves people. It’s almost exactly like the death knight skit.

VLDL absolutely nails every aspect of playing RPGS! It's the most hilariously relatable gaming content out there, across the board too, and nothing comes close!

That entire skit is one of the funniest things I've seen in my life, he is absolutely brilliant.
He's annoying as hell and honestly, I've never found him funny in anything. Just....annoying.

So VLDL is not well known where I'm at and I'm always looking out for compilations to share that'll potentially hook people. This is definitely gonna be one:) I will suggest one thing, if I may... The fun closed captions are a nice dimension to y'all's videos. If possible and not too much bother, it'd be great if these compilations had those, too. The "quite famously not" line made me giggle.
I'm always flawed by the switch in acting style in the 'Annoying NPC' sketch. To see Adam and Rowan's acting styes change so quickly from the quest characters to the clearly annoyed characters is phenomenal. Byron brings constant insane vibes that make everyone want to kill him (In a good way. Love Byron of course!!!), and Adam and Rowan react so perfectly to him every time, before switching back to NPC quest character acting. Perfect.
As always VLDL did a fantastic job with another season of Epic NPC Man. I'm looking forward to the next season, and the many seasons to come.

Man the Death Knight skit is relatable. Playing strikes in Destiny feels like going to work. Skyrim, however, will always feel like getting home from school to me.
Had Greg used Garlic Grenades in VLDL D&D, he'd probably have still been an artificer.... 😉
Adventurer Adam could have pickpocketed the grenade, but respawning Garlic Grenades for the sheep rescue is a 'game feature'.

the Epic NPC Man series has me wanting an MMO where all the NPCs are actual players who've just grown bored of adventuring after becoming insanely powerful, so they just help fledgling adventurers by giving them quests

I'll have the VLDL community know... I recently upgraded my PC to a AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D with MSI RTX 4080 suprim X... Only to STILL be freezing and lagging in certain games... I feel I'm actually worse off then before i upgraded...
Starfield doesn't run on anything, but pretty much any other game should run buttery smooth with that setup assuming PC cooling and internet speeds are up to the task.
Should’ve gone 4090 and i9-14900k. I lag in no games, and honestly, anyone i see complaining about performance uses one or more AMD part, it’s pathetic to support AMD when their hardware is lacking and can’t compete with intel let alone nvidia
@@xbon1 14900k draws nearly twice the power and doesn't perform as well, the sole reason i went with Ryzen 7. And i couldn't justify paying an extra $1000AUD on a graphics card for the marginal increase in gains from the 4090...
Besides all that, after some research, i believe i've found the issue, my mobo needs a bios update, i'm running the base version that was shipped with the board, there have since been several revision addressing issues with X3D and ram over 6k.
@@xbon1this statement is just wrong. Hardware isn't lacking, their software just kinda sucks compared to intel and nvidia. Drivers are important for performance.

it feels weird seeing Greg not being the NPC for once
I really really wish that videos had volume controls where you could adjust the volume levels like in video games. Music, Dialogue, Effects would be enough. It would probably need a new video format, but they could do it. So often I can't watch a video because the background music is louder than the dialogue. Or the explosions drown everything else out. Even if it's just a 50% to 150% range, it would be absolutely amazing.
Maybe it might even make movies like Tenet more watchable?
You could turn on close-captioning.
