  • Hello Gamers!
    I've had this video on going as I was getting my head around Final Cut Pro, which allows for far better editing. The footage was filmed about a month ago, and took place in one evening when I was extremely excited to break the console down. This is the firth of many break down consoles and if any of you would like to see more, please leave a comment. I have managed to acquire 2 other GameCubes to customise or even mod so send in your requests. I am happy to even do a give away when we reach 100 subscribers in the future. I will have a video on the controllers very soon!
    I hope you enjoy and your comments and feedback helps the channel upload better content. Links to the screw drivers used to open the CameCube are down below.
    *All footage and other assets were obtained from the adverts of the mentioned games or from their official websites. This edutainment video was not sponsored or endorsed by any of the mentioned parties. Please don’t sue, I have no money.

    This is literally the exact video I needed even down to the colours of GameCube!

      Man I’m in love with it. It’s worth looking into damaged goods on eBay and scavenge them for parts. I’ll be uploading the orange controllers next!

      I was going to custom the shell more but I think it’s better like this. The fact the jewel is embossed makes it unique

    If you intend to do this, be sure both GameCubes have the same model number, that way you won't have issues with swapping the jewel or have to make any adjustments to the back housing (the two models have different ports).

      Is that why it didn't fit? I want to swap my DOL-001 PAL into a spice orange DOL-001 will that be ok?

    • @sunmarsh
      @sunmarsh Рік тому +1

      @@mattjcwig So long as the model number (DOL-001) is the same, the cases should be identical. So you should be fine.

    I just need to make a small hole in the rear piece of mine for component cables. I have 2 working GameCubes but would prefer the black over my indigo.

      Ha ha! That’s exactly what I did! I realized half way and thought: F@ck! What now?! At 2am. I did the civil thing and made a hole big enough with an electric drill. If you can buy a cheap Dremel, it will help.

    I wish it was that easy for me to remove the casing of mine, it had been in the smoker's house so it was glued shut by smoke residue

    • @GrinningWolfGames
      @GrinningWolfGames  4 місяці тому

      Try using alcohol or a tiny bit of WD40 to losen it up. Good luck!

    I have a Japanese region modded one and American GameCube. The Japanese one has trouble reading some discs, but the American one reads them all with no problem. I don't want to do a Shell swap, but could I take the American disc drive and connect it to the Japanese motherboard?

    • @GrinningWolfGames
      @GrinningWolfGames  3 роки тому +1

      If it’s the lens component then probably yes. Check out Spawnwave’s channel as I believe he removes the component in one of his videos. I haven’t tried it my self.

    Wasn't it possible to get the mother board out without pulling off the heat sink first?

    • @GrinningWolfGames
      @GrinningWolfGames  Рік тому

      In all honesty I can’t remember. I think the heat sink cover was covering some screws that held the motherboard to the shell

    • @PaigeWylderOwO
      @PaigeWylderOwO Рік тому +1

      @@GrinningWolfGames I'm looking at it again, and it seems between 11:11-11:29 that you could have just picked up the motherboard and heatsink together after removing the heat sink' s screws.
