In this 20min Walkthrough video, Richard talks you through each step of the removal and installation process and provides you with helpful tips and tricks to assist you along the way.
For this retrofit, we worked on a Volkswagen T5.1 Transporter however the same logic can be applied to a T6 also.

Should you disconnect the battery?
Hi I have replaced my steering column switch on my t5.1 highline but now I have and air bag error would this be down to the yellow connector?
Super video, did you have to disconnect battery before unpluging/pluging back in the Airbag?
Yeah you should else it could go off while unplugging
20 minutes and you don't show the part that was needed
Yeah. Removing and installing plastics doesnt need a lot of knowledge... waste of time

Admittedly we have had customers travel pretty far for us to work on their vehicles, we even had a chap come down from the Isle of Skye with his T6 because he knew the quality of work would be worth it and his van would be in safe hands.

So did you re-use the original airbag or was that supplied with the new wheel?

We reused the original airbag. Before we put it in the new wheel we gave it a good clean to make it more presentable.

Question, I have a replacement multi function wheel but dont want to use the buttons on it for anything so can I just change the wheel which came from a T5.1 the same as mine with having to code anything? I just want to get rid of the plastic wheel and replace it with the leather T5.1 I bought?
Yes horn will work as long as you plug in the airbag

Always wanted a muli wheel in my b6 passat but i wouldn't know what to buy.
Do not understand. I have a T6 2016. I wanted to change the steering wheel like in the video and I was told that the car does not have a steering wheel computer, no button will work

Why not just be honest and say that your advertising your steering wheel swap and coding service. Completely pointless only showing a 1/3rd of the job. Makes me less inclined to phone up for a quote
