Given the chance, I would love to own an old Atari 2600 again. So much nostalgia to be revisited.
You can grab them and the games pretty cheaply these days!

Anyone who calls the 2600 lame or boring doesn’t have my respect as a gamer. You are so right about the paddle controller. It’s amazing. I agree with Mike from AVGN in that Kaboom is one of the greatest home console games ever. It requires precision and concentration like nothing else. Something you didn’t mention is the cartridge is about $100 now. Just fantastic. Lol

I never liked Atari games even as a Kid back in the 80's but you made me want to play one :D

I am also an Atari 2600 & 7800 fan and I have Solar Storm to play with paddle controllers in my collection and it is a great Imagic game, and probably one of my top 40 out of my 250+ collection of Atari games.

Imagic was one hell of a good game company. I was an Intellivision kid and without a doubt, the Imagic games were the best.

Solar Storm vs. Solar Fox: I'd vote for _Solar Fox_ -a totally unrelated 2600 game.

...sigh. yes. I should have said "non- scrolling" or something
2600 lame and boring? I'd rather play Yars Revenge or Raiders of the Lost Ark any day over the new flagship games where you pay $70 plus for an unfinished buggy mess with microtransactions. The real issue is that with the 2600 you had to use your imagination, and everyone knows that is something that is in short supply these days.
My imagination is garbage... and I still love Atari 2600 stuff. Fun is just fun!
