I actually really like games with AI that plays itself so I can watch the game beat itself. The intro screen here, though it doesn't actually play a game with itself, is still really fun for me to watch too. I too wish the trick shot portion of the game wasn't such a static puzzle as well, I prefer games that offer a challenge every time you play, but I guess they wanted to put it out there to show you what the pool game can offer too.
I had this Atari cartridge. Once someone showed how to use too much English by ripping the cloth, I would do it quite a bit to drive my brother-in-law nuts. I was just 11 at the time and he was about 30. This was back around 84
There’s that unmistakable sign that you’re a retro gaming geek who was around at the time those games actually came out: The proper pronounciation of IMAGIC!
I loved the few of their games I had. Mostly Demon Attack. That was pretty much my favorite game for a long time.

Nice! Lunar Pool on the NES is really fun!
Not played that one, will have to check it out. of course I am not to into the NES :P
I had a memorable Christmas in 1984 because of this game. Even though I really sucked at it!
I am not as good either, I had some cheat notes off to the side to remember where to put the cue :P
