"We don't want to be god. We just want to be free" ... Clive dropping lines after lines
This was the absolute highlight of the dlc. The rest of the dlc is maybe a 7, but this boss fight was a 10. One of the best parts of the game in general.
yeah Loved the nod to FF14 too incredible
I would say that about the game in general. The story was fine but how they did the quests was kinda ehh, just walking from point to point like a MMORPG.
@@sws212 That was one of my big problems with the game. The pacing is horrendous. I love the game overall, but you can tell there’s a lot of carry over from FFXIV considering the team has only ever worked on mmos.
@@SoycastGuyyeah it’s definitely inexperience on their part. For a first outing it’s very good, but if and when they get another shot at a mainline FF I think they’ve learned a lot about what to do and what not to do
@@someclevername8167CBU3 are really the only ones free to make another FF game. The other branches are either doign Kingdom Hearts or FF7R so its almost a certainty that FF17 will be Yoshi-P again (especially with him getting even more influence after FF16's release).
"You'll never beat me Clive! ...Not when i shift to MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE!"
"I knew I should have gotten the turbo."
Soken bringing his chicken tender song from FF14, and revamping it for 16. What a Chad.
definitely earned his award for best score
Everybody dancin' at The Twinning.
YoshiP casually put DPS check mechanic on omega XVI last phase lol
This music is so 👍🏿
Boss casually enraged the whole world if you fail dps check
So my observation as to why I rank this as to why ffxvi should have receive GOTY and especially if this DLC was out then comes down to this phrase within the first 10 seconds of this video… and kudos to this content creator for highlighting it.
The floor you face Omega on is “The Hall of Elicitation”.
Most confuse Illicit with Elicit… and as spending my younger years as a business analyst in corporate America… elicit was a hard word to understand
The job was to “elicit” requirements from an end user in order to define and create a perfect system… except the end user was always changing
The Sagespire was one of the first “dungeons” that I can remember that went up. And with each ascension the manufactured mothercrystal was iteratively adapting based on the requirements provided by whomever walked through that door.
In short, the end user was the party… and the more the party’s load out in members, gear and Eikons made it upward, the more requirements were gathered and fed into the final system.
At some point… that system had to produce an end product the user could accept.
Clive and company couldn’t accept a weak shitty product. Remember this was supposed to kill and supplant Ultima. If it died in a minute, the story is shot cause the heroes would have gone in way cockier than they did thinking Ultima was this weak.
But the Hall of Elicitation gave me pause and I shifted my entire load out because I was thinking the Sagespire was learning my moves, trends, tactics and preferences in Eikon abilities, gear, levels, patterns, etc… and feeding it to Omega.
When the second phase hit and the music changed and the cutscene showed Omega getting “patched” and went from Big Sur to Sonoma… I instinctively said “Jesus fuck he knew all along!” and I panicked.
It’s that attention to fourth wall detail that was a love letter from programmer to programmer, analyst to analyst, nerd to nerd… who can sit back and appreciate the gamers chair from a developers eye.
This DLC showed a non-turn based Omega and said the following;
“We elicited your need… and we give you this. Have fun, End User”
And for that… FFXVI will forever be the greatest ever.
… and we haven’t even seen Lost Leviathan yet
I like this version of Omega, an organic, inorganic, extraterrestrial organism
Basically mind and matter and the technology form into one specimen. Truly a mad man’s creation and it’s beautiful
Doubt it will be as epic as this but will probably be epic still
So thats última final ace
The normal boss theme starting to play at the beginning of the fight got me disappointed thinking there wasn’t a remix of 14’s eScape, which is one of my favorite tracks in the whole game. And then phase two hits. Boy was I not ready for Omega to grow arms. I need the ost NOW!!!!
I literally said " soken, you are on crack" when the theme started playing at 4:54
1:35 all you have to do is kill an eikon CJJ!!!
Clive
Joshua
Jill
I like the music makes a callback to FInal Fantasy 14.
Love how this boss was introduced, seriously badass!
God damn, this boss looks fucking sick! I love how Soken remixed the classic song from FF XIV too for the Omega Weapon! It almost feels like you're fighting it again with Gladio and the others in XV as well!
But that is not the Omega weapon, it's just Omega. THE Omega weapon is another creature rhat is weaker
I wish the OST had bits of FFV's battle music (Omega's theme in that game) just like how FFXV did it
This fight was so damn awesome. More of this, please.
The boss is ten times harder than Ultima himself and dang it took that long to kill holy moly ( actually the music is badass)
dang omega looks sweet in this
A remix of eScape, genius.
They made it Breakcore
This fight was definitely worth the cost of the DLC. Thought I was a bit disappointed with the difficulty. It was hyped up as this super challenging boss battle, but I beat Omega on my first try in both normal and FF mode. The new accessories you find in the Sagespire make it a piece of cake, just gotta make sure you precision dodge a lot during the fight. Assailment Bit + Revivement Bit + Berserker Ring = easy mode 🙂
No one talking about the Regula remix in the song…
It's Azys lla theme which is tied to the Allagan Empire who in turn controlled Omega( or reasoned with it) to do whatever they want.
Been a while omega. Last time you were in lucis.❤❤❤
Is there a lvl cap for this dungeon or everyone doing it at lv 50.
I videos of pple doing it at 48-50.
55 for story or action; 105 for final fantasy mode.
I love this game so much man
Jesus this boss. Tha theme kicked ass on it's own but god i love that fight. I struggled mightly against it.
Somebody knows the name of the song? During the bossbattle?
its a remix of the ff14 omega theme, eScape
The name of the song in 16 though is Eikonochlasm
@@DredgenClaw Thank you
Much more difficult than Ultima and the music😍
I like how its name changes to Omega _Aionios_ when it shifts phases.
Aionios in Greek means "Eternal", so I think it's fitting for the overall theme of the DLC.
At first i thought Omega is the Eikon Alexander it would be cool if he is Alexander in disguise
“Omega Control Unit…offline..” even the tower sounds shocked that omega didn’t win. Dude was a menace.
One of the best bosses in the game
CHICKEN TENDER!!!!
Honestly this felt like a 14 dungeon lol 3 bosses some trash pulls and a main trial.
Man this boss is great but will be perfect if square enix make it can kill all party with 1 hit
10:45 I'm pretty sure this is the attack that will kill the entire team in 1 hit. You just gotta take it out quick before that happens.
@@espada9000 i see
Omega being hi-tech.
I wonder what’ll FF17 be like?
Omega has always been the "other" in every FF. An interdimensional being of tech beyond human understanding.
I think Omega's role in XVI is the most grounded of its iterations: the Magnum Opus of a Fallen civilization, an artificial God.
Omega will most likely continue to be this technological anomaly, even if the next FF continued as high fantasy or sci-fi.
@@existexit Well, I still want FF13 to be remastered for PS4/PS5.
@@existexitso basically a fallen broken god from a broken civilization. Mekhane- I mean omega (I doubt anyone would get that referenc) 😅
@@kasagrim7215 Sigh… I miss hi-technology in Final Fantasy like in FFVII to FFXV.
Is it strange that this could be the hardest boss of the game? And that I somehow beat it at level 83 or 84? I forgot how
Lo jugué en modo final fantasy y me costo bastante vencer a omega pero lo disfruté
Ooooh, familiar FFXIV songs.
More like Clive vs Omega.
I think the craziest thing is omega does all this with a faulty mothercrystal. No wonder the fallen wanted the real thing(sins of dhzmkeys) if they were already capable of doing this much.
I love FF, don’t forgot omega from FF 5 is cool. I wish to square ressurected Atma weapon, and add Atma weapon sword.
How could futuristic technology be able to fit into a medieval era in a lore perspective??
Well, the Fallen were extremely advanced due to their mastery of magic, up to the point that they were trying to copy and replace Ultima as gods.
So I think it makes sense for them to look so "futuristic" compared to the overall theme of the world.
Even Clive and Joshua in the DLC, once they realise that the Fallen were pretty much turning living creatures into crystals, say something like "If the Fallen were actually capable of THIS, then they were way closer to become gods than we ever gave them credit for".
People: OH my god its the twinning theme a long fall.
Me: NO YOU FOOLS ITS E-SCAPE and SCALE AND STEEL
eScape yes, but the other is Order yet undeciphered, originally
Lmao they're just watching the enemy do his thing
Can I ask this dlc is continue the last Chapter at original story or what?
It’s right before the final boss of the game so it’s still pre final. The next dlc hopefully is after the battle with Ultima since we saw that Clive is lvl 51 in the trailer 🙏🏽
@@drewpettersonHmmm, actually, the level cap was increased to lvl 55 and lvl 105 in this DLC, and the devs already told us that they're not gonna do a new story after the ending, soooo, probably before Ultima's fight as well
@@gabrielnovais871 I didn’t knew that 🥲
@@gabrielnovais871would be a little weird because Clive are gonna have Leviathan powers and its not using against Ultima 😅
@@MultiGrayfox Oh, for real. I really didn't thought about that
😍
Wait its already released?
Yes, it's already release 👍
Is this boss trying to stop them from getting the Ultima? Or is it trying to do something? I actually don't get. What's the context of this fight
It happened before the Ultima fight. This Dlc added extra story that happens right before the final boss act.
Its trying to stop them from destroying the crystal
Just the mother crystal that was created by the fallens. Is an additional quest/storyline pre-ultima.
Storywise is not wow by any mean honestly, pretty much a MacGuffin (a crystal) to visit that tower and have some fights, the boss fight though was a 10 easily. Very short dlc though (around 2.5 to 3 hours).
Tl;Dr: Fallen created a tower which stored an artificial mothercrystal. For all purposes, they 100% had the power to fight Ultima and his race, but ultimately failed due to (still unknown?) reasons. This Tower was opened when Ultima cast his Sky changing spell, and started such insane effects on the ecosystem the whole continent basically began shaking. The tower used biological experiments to turn artificially created lifeforms into Crystals, which idiots from a Fallen Empire. which was the first to lose themselves to the Blight consuming the land, have begun selling. Omega is the final line of defense for the Tower and its artificial MotherCrystal in question.
@@katomamundara8106it's a little bit lame this version of Omega is somewhat around the same level as Ultimalius(yeah not calling that Ultima as it is a disrespect to the high Seraph). Point is, Omega is supposed to be hyper powerful to the point of making the final bosses look like regular monsters
FF14 haa the best version of Omega. Literally a god killing machine
Porque nunca ponen a shinryu
FFXIV Viper job should've been a Clive clone....
Ifrit is where exactly ?
In the next dlc :(
Chicken Tenderrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs
amazing fight, but your skills needs some work 😅
So, what I feel about FF 16 is that it was a game with great successes and, to the same extent, great mistakes, first let's look at the successes, the combat is very good, it could be infinitely better, depending more on combos and varieties of attacks , than simply waiting for a timer to load. the eikon battles are AWESOME, and the story and soundtrack are perfect. HOWEVER, there are many negative points, the rhythm of this game is terrible, or rather, the lack of rhythm, one moment we are killing the strongest beings on the planet and half an hour later, we are picking flowers for a street vendor. The enemies are a real damage sponge, and that's a pain, they could have increased the difficulty, leaving them with truly challenging moviesets, and not putting their lives extremely high. and finally, the game needed more eikon battles, against odin, and in the dlc, which there were NONE.
Ffxvi is my fav game in years, but that's exactly what I think of the game
I was really hoping for a leviathan boss battle but he’s leviathan the lost (in the sauce)
bro why this boss hp so big
It's the ultimate Mech boss of many final fantasy games.
Like the comment above said, Omega a super boss in almost all final fantasy games since FF 5.
This video has 80 dislikes for some reason
catJAM
Omega was created to fight Bahamut
it was built for different reasons in different games. sometimes its the same omega dimension hopping like Gilgamesh or one unique to whatever game its in but the usual story is an ancient race built it hunt a powerful dragon like Shinryu that either got lost or mutated beyond its programming.
The first omega in ff 5 was created to kill shinryu fatmore superior than ordinary bahamut
I have a feeling that Final Fantasy is in a different place right now... I don't think is too bad but I dont't feel like it will bring the same feeling that the oldest FF games brought in the past. I seriously cannot imagine the current developers making a FF like Final Fantasy VI,VII,IX or X for example. Even Final Fantasy XII was fantastic in terms of lore, exploration and gameplay.
There were people that said exactly what you’re saying when FF7-10 came out
@@someclevername8167 no.
FF 14 does all of that and more. You should try it.
It is a JRPG first and a mmo second.
I think it's different but better, more exciting.
I was hopeing for Leviathain
It will come in the 2nd dlc releasing next year, its already announced and you can even see Clive usingthe eikon feat
That thing was worst than Ultima 😂😂
AA
Grand blue fantasy relink full game
It's not out yet
God of war with a different skin :V
Still is pretty good
God Of War if it was good
