This video literally saved my ass. Rhino had this fuel pump installed before I acquired it and it was running very lean and popping. They never plugged that other hose so it was sucking in air. Plugged it up and now she runs like a beaut. Thank you so much for this.
Hello. I installed an electric pump as in your video example, after a while the oil level in the engine rose, gasoline got in. I started the engine in the winter without enrichment, so the engine did not start right away. Where to look for the cause of gasoline getting into the engine? .. Can the carburetor become clogged and be the cause of this? Thank you
Yes, the carburetter can become clogged from whatever reason, Dirty Few, water, etc. But also if you install a electric fuel pump, if it makes too much pressure when it’s pumping it can bypass the needle on the float. The pump only needs to make a couple pounds psi to keep up to most gas engines.
@@outlawweldingmotorcyclerep1680 I disassembled the carburetor, and there were three ants and a filter mesh with dirt and the valve did not hold the fuel. I cleaned and assembled everything, the mixture enrichment screw was unscrewed by four and a half turns, this is a lot and I set it to two and a half. Now the result is already different and the engine has become faster. Thank you very much for your help, if I don't understand something, I will definitely consult with you)
You’re most welcome. Please reach out anytime. You have a question, I’m always willing to help. Mixtures grew is usually about one and a half turns to two turns. If you’ve got crap in there, try putting a fuel filter in there permanently
@@outlawweldingmotorcyclerep1680 You are right, you can put another filter directly in front of the carburetor itself. I'll try to set one and a half turns. Thank you very much for your help.
I can’t say that I have ever had a problem. Once the carburetter set up properly with the float levels and proper needles then there’s usually no issue
When adding an electric fuel pump, do i need to upgrade the ecm and coil? Ive added an elctric fuel pump, but the engine still wont start. It turns over easily but wont fire.
No, I would not say that it is necessary to change them. It is a good idea. I feel on the rhino 450 because the spark is weak. If you have a hard time starting, put a new spark plug in it and run a gas line antifreeze regularly. There’s always water in the fuel because of the ethanol in the fuel nowadays.but hard starting could also because of leaky valves or low compression with the rings. But start with a spark plug.

You’re most welcome. Thank you for the input. Hopefully soon we get to start doing videos again.

Have you had any issues with flooding the carb? I’ve seen some people running a spill back to the tank and I was wondering if it was necessary.

How has the new ecm helped your rhino
More power, revs up faster

How is the Mr gasket fuel pump doing on the rhino from when you installed and now
Not sure if that is the brand. But this one is working really good for about a year.
I am getting ready to install this on my 2009 rhino 450. Can you tell me what relay you purchased? I like that idea but not sure what to get.
Any good brand relay will be sufficient, use dielectric grease on connections
How well does it do on cold starts
This one is always great
Spark plug occasionally but i feel that is a valve issue
