Thanks for the video. Saved my dads lightly used woods cruiser. Inherited his 07 660. Thing would not start. New batteries, plug which has good spark, and found out the OEM pump was shot. Installed the Mr. Gasket just like your install except I hooked wiring to ignition switch. Turned the key with some choke and it fired right up like a good running Yamaha usually does. Changed the oil, my God was it dirty, and filter once she warmed up. Bought a K&N air filter as the factory foam was plugged and the air box was partially filled with dirt. Luckily the intake was still clean. The filter did its job. The old girl while my dad ran her would maybe do 40 on a good day. I think that pump has been bad for forever and a day as she always sounded like she was laboring. Now with the Mr. Gasket she sounds strong and I hit 47 on a straight stretch. Now to reroute the intake to a less dusty location than the top of that little box. Dad has had dementia like symptoms from a severe hit to the head for a long time and the more stuff I check of his the more I find signs he did not know what he was doing.

Hi, could you do a video or tell us how to hook up the electric is it just the red and the black wires? Or is there something else that goes to the fuse box want to know how to tie this to the ignition switch? Thank you.
I did the same set up with an overflow line and the original table pressure line. I am now having issues with gas coming out the bottom of the carb from a separate line.
I did to I restricted the gas flow coming out of the tank and drilled a bigger hole in the bottom of the return side plastic round piece that is mounted to the top of gas tank.
Great video. I have my vacuum pump still on my Rhino. I have vapor lock of some sorts!! I am not getting gas to my carb or my carb is dirty. Should I do exactly what you did? It seems like if I don’t start it for a month or two, it is hard to start…….vapor lock or not getting gas. Is that because of the Vacuum pump? Any advice please.
I just tapped the positive wire into the fuse post for the head lights. You can run it to any 12v supply. I just used the head light one cause it only has 12v when the key is on and I use a light bar so I don’t use the headlights anyway
Hello. I installed an electric pump as in your video example, after a while the oil level in the engine rose, gasoline got in. I started the engine in the winter without enrichment, so the engine did not start right away. Where to look for the cause of gasoline getting into the engine? .. Can the carburetor become clogged and be the cause of this? Thank you.
Get this sorted out? Do you have a return line like he has? I'd love to do this mod on my '07. Takes forever to start after it's been sitting for even a few weeks.
I’ve heard it’s better to have the electric fuel pump on a separate switch is their a reason for that? My local shop here say it should be wired to the ignition.
I have mine on a separate switch so that when I want to use my lights I don’t have to have the fuel pump running. It doesn’t matter either way it’s preference. Mine is on a separate switch that is only hot when the key is on so that the fuel pump cant be accidentally cut on just by turning the key on
How much do you think it cost to make windshield? Do you have a parts list. How did you cut it out to fit the bottom perfect,. Did you cut out a paper cut out
Just depends. I’ve got around $60 In mine for the hardware and hinge but I didn’t have to pay for the plexiglass. I got it at work, and I just made a rough template for the bottom and went back and fourth till I got it very close.
No it works perfect. That’s the purpose of the return hose. Once the bowl fills the fuel redirects to the return cause that’s the path of least resistance
@@blakehicks813 I had a sleep and now I get it, thx for the info. You just have to have the Y fitting above the float level so the hose is always full but has no pressure.

I went out to look at my setup today. I noticed a line that goes into the roll bar just beside where the mukuni pump sits. Is that a breather for the tank?
The way you have the line after the pump. did you have trouble with the engine cover?. I have all my parts, gonna do mine tonight but when I look at it I think the engine cover is gonna be a problem
I’ve not had any issues with it. If it does touch the engine cover when it’s on it’s got enough slack to bend out of the way and I don’t have any sign of rubbing on the hoses if that’s what your asking
Great video. I am doing the exact same thing to mine. I see you have it on a switch, but how did you wire it up? I watched this video and basically copied what you did, I just stopped at where to wire it in to
I did but it was from a hole in the exhaust header pipe. Replaced it and the backfire went away. As far as fuel issues I’ve not had any with the set up I’ve got other then having to adjust the A/F mixture slightly
Fan is override for the cooling fan. It still works based on temp but if I wanna run it cooler I can bypass it with that switch. And cargo is the rear light bar that lights up the bed
I agree with slim Pickens. That’s a needle and seat issue. Rebuild your carb and set your needle about 1/4 turn leaner (clockwise)then the factory setting. That’s how I adjusted my carb and it works flawlessly
@@themostfunwins684 lol that’s not being an idiot it’s a legit question. I leave it on all the time while I’m riding. As long as you have the return line going back into the tank your carb won’t overflow so you can leave it on continuous. That’s why I like the mr. gasket 42s micro pump cause it’s a low psi so as soon as the bowl in the carb is full all the extra fuel just circulates back into the tank through the return line. Does your wire go from the pump to the switch and split to ignition and fuse to lights?
