It's Starlight Glimmer 2.0! ;-) Anyway, wow we're pretty far behind now. We took one week off to record our reaction to the MLP Movie, and after that it was two more weeks before we got a chance to record again. We're catching up now, but we probably won't be able to record our reaction to the season finale until after its officially released. Our reactions to episodes 22 and 23 were recorded just today, so we'll be getting those out over the course of the next week or so. See you all then!
PonyWatch Nooooooo. RUMBLE = ANARCHY!!!! Also, the movie aired 2 weeks ago so..... DVD comes out in March or February. Lastly, you have 1 week till the S7 finale. So, unless you can send us 3 eps in 1 week, you will be spoiled.
Thunderlane appears to have had an appropriate character arc in the background, though I'm not suprised by that, knowing the show staff. He was mentioned as a strong flyer in Hurricane Fluttershy, tried out with Rainbow Dash in Wonderbolt Academy, was revealed to be one in Parental Glidance, showing he became one after RD, and now is formally introduced as one here.
We've learned quite a lot about cutie mark throughout the seasons. The summary of it all's something like this: 1) The cutie mark represents a pony's special talent. (As explained by Cheerilee in "The Cutie Mark Chronicles") 2) However, it doesn't necessarily represent the only - or even the strongest - talent, nor the thing the pony loves most. It just shows what definies the pony. (As explained by the CMCs in "Marks and Recreation"). 3) The cutie mark represents an essential part of who the pony is. (As explained by Twilight in "The Cutie Map") 4) It's a unique, personal manifestation of the pony's magic - for ALL ponies have magic, not just unicorns. (As shown by Tirek in "Twilight's Kingdom") 5) Ponies are the only creatures known to have cutie marks. (As explained by Twilight in "The Fault in Our Cutie Marks") 6) The cutie mark always fits its true owner perfectly. (As explained by Luna in "Bloom and Gloom") 7) But, it can be misunderstood by the pony who gained it. (As shown by Trouble Shoes in "Appleoosa's Most Wanted") 8) It can be also misinterpreted and misused by the pony because of bad influence. (As shown by Diamond Tiara in "Crusaders of the Lost Mark") 9) The cutie mark in itself isn't good or bad - even if the pony blames it for misforutne or unhapiness. (As shown by Starlight in "The Cutie Re-Mark") 10) Having a cutie mark and fulfilling the talent it represents doesn't guarantee success or happiness by itself. (As shown by Luna in "Friendship is Magic") 11) The cutie mark cannot be forced to appear without terrible consequences. (As shown by Applebloom in "The Cutie Pox") 12) In the case cutie marks are changed with magic, there can be visible side-effects on the ponies' behavior and personalities. (As shown by the mane six in "The Cutie Map") 13) In the case cutie marks are switched, they can't carry the talents themselves onto their knew owners. (As shown by the mane six in "Magical Mystery Cure") 14) However, switched cutie marks can carry the magic of the original owners. Although simply possessing the magic necessary to be able to fulfill the cutie mark's purpose doesn't make the pony good at using it. (As shown by Celestia and Luna in "The Royal Problem") And finally: 15) while the cutie mark represents the pony's destiny, (As shown by the Tree of Harmony in "Princess Twilight Sparkle"), it also involves choice (As said by Twilight in "Twilight's Kingdom") and it can be actively changed, affected and altered by the ponies and their choices (As shown by Twilight in "Magical Mystery Cure" and by Starlight in "The Cutie Re-Mark"). Do you think I missed anything important? Please let me know :)
Funny you should mention the circular art as being symbolic, as it actually is and fairly deep! xD Watch Applegeek's reaction to this episode as he explains it far better than I can lol.
I think the problem is that we haven't seen a pony who doesn't have a cutie mark that represents their job. Like, you don't see a Wonderbolt with an apple for a cutie mark. This message would have been more effective if it had been given by a pony doing a job they like, while having a mark that has nothing to do with it. So it is very possible that Rumble will be locked out of being a Wonderbolt, if he gets a mark not connected to it. This episode hasn't proven otherwise. Sure Thunder lane likes cooking, but it's a hobby. You can't exactly be a Wonderbolt as a hobby. So Rumble can still get stuck in a profession he doesn't want.
I want to see a pony that has a cutie mark that has nothing to do with their job in some way. We have yet to see one. Rumbles point has yet to be proven wrong. A hobby is one thing. A career is an entire different matter. Just because you like something, doesn't mean you want to have a career based around it.
@@kawaii33366 You don't really think, do you? Jewels which she uses on her dresses and everything else. And what do you usually get at a party with balloons? A cake and cupcakes which a Baker makes. And the princesses are the most powerful with magicvand use it to protect their kingdom and raise the sun. Sorry, rufus, but my point still stands.
I wonder something, how did the Crusaders even rent out that camp for themselves and their new campers anyway? Unless maybe, Twilight put a word in, since she is, you know, the Princess of Friendship and all that. Unless they asked Diamond Tiara to get her father to help pay for such a thing.

I guess we could upload the no-overlay version of our reaction, then upload the full version after the DVD release. David said he wanted to do the editing for our reaction video this time though (probably to put in a few special effects), so it might be a while before it's ready to publish.
IMO it was okay. There were a few things with the plot that I thought could have been done better, but the artwork, music, and voice acting was excellent. Certainly worth going to see if you're a fan of the show.

I ship Rumble and Scootaloo.
I love how Andrew was guessing everything correctly during this reaction. =)>
This is my second favorite CMC episode outside of Crusaders of the Lost Mark.
He had one off the best sings this season
I think this is one of your best reactions in a while. But I always enjoy watching you guys thanks.
Rumble has the same voice actor as Flash Sentry, Garble, and Featherbangs. See a theme here?

We wont say anything.😓
FYI andrew is definitely the funniest of the 3 of you.

Flim y Flam tienen una manzana de Cutiemark

8:01 I think her cutie mark is in poetry in general. Or even just creative writing! Not JUST Haikus.
