How exactly did he outplay Mahomes? His team had 50% more time of possession which enabled him to put up better stats but the only ones that really count are the points on the scoreboard. With far less of the ball Mahomes scored more points and also didn't make a horrendous mistake which gifted 7 points to the opposition. It's such a lazy narrative to suggest Hurts outplayed Mahomes when his team gave him enough possession to win the game by a mile and he couldn't get it done.
