As a lifelong KCMO resident, thank you. Thank you for being authentic, genuine and transparently empathetic. Our community is hurting right now, and it’s been a heartbreaking week. Two of the victims are relatives of mine. This was their first parade. They will be okay, physically… but mentally and emotionally, they are traumatized. The trauma bounces off the desensitized culture we have here in America, and all three of you gentleman spoke on this from differing perspectives and yet were equally pointed and correct. Our kids deserve better than this.
I was there myself. If I had waited 2 mins to leave. I very well might have been a victim myself. I agree with you, and I see so many people taunting those who are wanting to pray for the victims. Has no one learned anything from this community? We all are Chiefs fans. This team is not only special because of their record. BUT, they bring everyone together, who would otherwise have nothing to do with each other because of religious differences, political differences, and other differences. Let them pray, they may very well agree with better gun laws while they pray. But, be that as it may. I agree with these three gentlemen. Our kids do deserve better. Before this awful shooting I seen so many people coming together, and just wanted to celebrate our team doing great. It was the best experience I had ever had. Until like Nick said. We was robbed. I collected extensive footage from this event. From when I was there at 12am. right up to the last speech given. My phone ran out of juice right before I left. Thank God. Because, I am glad I didn't personally document that awful tragedy. And, that I will be able to hold the more better memories of this event close to my heart. As, it was the first Victory gathering that I got to experience.
I always liked Wildes because he strikes me as the “realest” guy on sports tv, but this made me truly respect him. Glad you guys & the whole staff are safe.
Wildes nailed it. We shouldn't have to rely on being lucky to not be a victim of a mass shooting. I was at the parade yesterday, and I'm lucky I didn't go to the rally. I have friends who were at the rally and, luckily, they were unharmed. Mass shootings coming down to bad luck is a massive indictment on America and our priorities.
Crime is a problem. The liberals often focus on mass shootings so they can blame gun owners and not the criminals. It's sad that so many fall for that just like Nick Wright.
so what is your fix to the issue? pass gun laws that dont affect criminals at all? i mean everyone wants to blame the guns , but even if guns were gone, people would still find ways to harm others in massive way. cars, bombs, knives, poison, etc. at some point we need to blame the people that are doing these horrific things, not the inanimate objects. why should the 99.9% of people be punished because of the bad 0.01% ? theres 500 million guns in the country, theres no law that will stop mass shootings in the future. how come these sprees of mass shootings didnt happen before 2000 ? its almost like society changed and morals were lost. we need to build the family model back up again, fathers need to be fathers. every mass shooter has a mental problem, we need to work on mental health before anything, because thats where the real change happens. and thats beyond just mass shootings
I caught some of the FTF episode yesterday during the parade. Nick said that it was the best day of his life, and he meant it seriously. He talked about meeting coach spags and his wife and giving Patrick mahomes a huge hug. To see him fighting back tears less than 24 hours later, words can’t describe how heartbreaking this is. Praying for the FTF team, all of the victims, and everyone in Kansas City
Yes it's sad years from now yesterday's parade won't be remembered by the awesome time had by those in K.C. Chiefs victory parade, but by the shooting that killed 1 and injured over 20.
I love Wilde’s “lucky” explanation. You don’t feel lucky when you survive taking an elevator, walking under a chandelier, or eating food. So why should you feel lucky when you simply walk outside or attend a public event and survive?
Itd be more like if later that day someone dies on the elevator you took, youd then feel lucky it didnt malfunction while you were on it, but yeah i still liked his point/ sentiment
@@zachwwwwwwwosofkd12949 He's pushing for gun control for white people to solve bl@ck gun crime, just like Wright was. As all three of these geldings refuse to even mention the perps, never mind saying a negative word about them. That's how the 3 panel guys are dealt with by their bosses. What an ignominious way to make a living. Pr0stitutes have more dignity.
I know. I got to meet him like a few hours before this awful shooting. That man is first class. I nearly got trampled to death just to meet, and get a picture with him. And BOY was it worth it. I fear that we may not ever have an event like this again with this similar type of celebration. And, that is unfortunate. Because, apart from the shooting. And, I can back up what they all said about it before hand. It went fantastic. But, like they also said. It was like the glass just shattered in the end. I am with Nick. I am furious to.
It’s a day ending in y. We’ve decided this is just gonna happen. Glad that they all believe in God and ask for prayers. Very sweet. Thanks for your petitions. God bless the fine people of Great Britain.
As a resident of KC, I appreciate Brou pointing out that this isn't the first victory parade where this has happened. It shows that this isn't a KC thing, and it isn't a reflection on just our community.
@@ethanliddle9008, my point is that KC already has a reputation of being a dangerous city and some will probably try to chalk this up to that. But this isn't just a KC thing. It a U.S. thing. And we *all* need to come together and figure out how to make that no longer the case.
@@ROUGHNECKACTUALyeah but crazy people in most places don’t have automatic weapons of mass destruction easily available keep making excuses because your a giant excuse of a human
I live in New Zealand and follow the NFL when I listened to this clip on Spotify/podcast on my way home. I cried. I am a 45 year old male who is still an active athlete and I just cried as I could hear and feel the pain. The easy thing is to place blame on individuals but through his anguish Nick was able to articulate that this has been enabled (or not prevented) via various regulations/laws/practices/culture or lack of regulations etc. Thank you FTF for highlighting this. I do pray things change for Americans to ensure these become less frequent or just eliminated. I may not be a Chiefs fan but I became a greater fan of FTF.
Nick is absolutely right. Kids these days have lost a big part of their innocence with the reality of mass shooting drills. Like we did with the duck and cover drills. It is insane that this now is considered "normal" behavior. Insane.
I agree. It is embarrassing that people can't solve disputes with words or hands anymore. What an awful situation. The bravery of those people to protect the lives of others and charge at those criminals should never be forgotten.
I liked all 3 for different reasons. Brou was a religious/spiritual man, as a black man. Wildes as sometimes it seems like a child's like innocence discovering brutal truths. Nick part head, part heart for his kids, wife and loved ones.
Can I just say I am proud of Nick, Brou and Wildes even though I don’t even know them? Truly respect how they were so open with their sadness, frustration, anger and frustration with the situation. They made me feel their emotions and I started to tear up, especially with Wildes and Nick. As much as I love the funny, witty and gimmicks of the show, I must say this a real genuine moment from the guys that I will forever remember from the show. Thank you for being who you are guys. Happy that the FTF team is safe and sending prayers to everyone affected by the situation 🙏🏼
I'm from the UK who loves NFL and loves the show. I'm lucky enough that we don't have to really worry about these type of things but I got so emotional watching these 3. So raw and emotional. Hope everyone stays safe x
You’re not “lucky” to not have to worry about these things..what you don’t have is a weird ubiquitous obsession in society with glorifying military and violence. You also have actual laws in place regulating the proliferation of arms.
I’ve been a fan of this show for a long time, I’m truly moved by all your words. With sports journalism I totally understand that this is a subject many would have avoided or glossed over. Thank you for having the bravery to open up about your experience yesterday. Glad all of you are safe.
As a 49ers fan and a human being. My heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by this tragic event that should not have happened. This tragedy happens far too often in this day of age.
@@slimmike56 He’s just letting you know that we are all one family and even though this shooting happened at a “Chiefs“ event, it affects us all. That’s all, it’s just a human having an empathetic gesture
I agree this happens far too often in this day and age……in our country, the USA. Mass shootings hardly ever occur (and certainly not almost daily like here) in Western Europe, Australia, Canada, Japan, and the rest of the developed world. Those countries, which are our allies, take intelligent action to prevent these things from occurring.
This culture both here in the world and especially in America we have to culturally stop identifying with the mind, with what is fleeting / coming & going. This is causing mental health issues which is leading to people trying to take it out on other people with shooting. The buck stops here. We HAVE to WAKE UP out of Mind identification asap!
I have to say this is some of the best commentary I’ve heard on mass shootings anywhere. Not just for a sports show but from the media of any kind. Well done you three on what must have been a very difficult segment to do. Thankyou.
I never thought this show would make me cry. I was at the parade yesterday, but went home before the rally / speech. Only learned about what happened when people started calling me to see if I was alright. I've had a hard time today knowing how to feel about this, but the three of you are able to articulate so much better than I ever could. Thank you for being open about this and allowing yourselves to be real and vulnerable while talking about this. Love you guys
Thank you guys for addressing this. We (KC and the greater KC community and Chiefs Kingdom) are still reeling and processing what happened. You guys didn't shy away from being transparent and honest about how you all are processing this and that's a huge help, because alot of us here are doing the same thing...trying to process this chaos. Thank you all for helping and being part of our community.
It's America. We've always got rowdy af when it came to sports, add some alcohol....you've got a bunch of overly emotional adults who can't respond properly
I feel what Wilds is saying. I took my 10 year old to the parade as a love of the chiefs. I want my kids to have these experiences without the fears of not being lucky.
Yeah I got what he was saying too! It was hard for them to talk being in that situation at the parade. But it's real coming from them. I like that they just went with their feelings.
Was legitimately worried for you guys yesterday. So glad everyone from the crew is ok. Thank you guys for everything you do. Anyone who truly loves this show like I do really cannot understate the impact you guys have on a daily basis. This show has helped both myself and others get through difficult periods of our lives. Nick, Brou, Wildes and everyone involved with the FTF production. We love you guys. ❤
Dude…. I don’t care who you root for or what beliefs you have, this crew shows that no matter what team you’re with, NOTHING is above sports, which includes the love for our fellow person at its peak. Wildes choking up and Nick crying brought nothing but tears to this man’s face, and I CANNOT imagine what they, the city, and the families went through during what was supposed to be a celebration turned chaotic turmoil. It’s moving beyond belief, and my heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to everyone. Love you all, and PLEASE keep your head up!!
Perfect statements that covered really all the feelings from this tragedy. Nick’s entire statement really hits home too. Seeing young kids having to be educated and prepped / trained for a mass shooter was an afterthought and joke 15 - 20 years ago. But now it’s a necessity and requirement. A generation that has to fear massive crowds and parents that get anxiety when their children just go to school. Prayers for KC, and wonderfully said by all three of you
Wildes could be a national news anchor, that dude spoke so well! I see that in his future possibly. As for KC fans and the community i hope you guys heal from this and this brings everyone closer together! Sad we have to pray for something like this, just tragic!
Thank you, all three of your for your raw and authentic comments. I especially appreciated Nick's perspective and honesty when it comes to the flaws of this country and the vulnerability he showed. Also i don't think i have ever seen a more authentic expression of humility and heartbreak as Wildes exuded.
From a UK citizen to everyone in Kansas City I send my heart felt condolences to every single one of you my thoughts and prayers will be with you all the way 🙏❤️

GREAT FREAKIN JOB FELLAS. EACH one came from a different place that was needed. Wildes trying to hold back tears got me in tears. To Nicks point we have stolen innocence from our kids. Man that was so on point Brou, Wildes, And Nick! you guys handled that beautifully. Prayers to everyone who had to go through that.
I could not be more proud of all of you today. Brou, I may not share your Faith, but I respect how it leads you in your life, and how it guides you to compassion for all those affected. Wildes, your rawness and honest reflection is well put. We go through life not having to worry about luck in most of our day to day because we’ve taken precautions to minimize luck as a factor. We shouldn’t have to rely on luck to avoid mass shootings. Nick, I share your outrage and your pain. I fought back tears during your portion. I’m mad for the exact same reason. Beyond mad; it’s rage. And what makes it worse is that the rage feels impotent. I feel like for all my rage it will amount to nothing at all, and that only fuels the rage more. It’s heartbreaking.
Respect to Brou for a very well said opening. Prayers for everyone involved. Raise up those that were brave, and everyone should expect some form of change or action. Don't let that just fall to the wayside... Something is systemically wrong.
Unfortunately no change will occur. This happens all of the time and while everyone agrees it is a problem, the reasons given as to why vary considerably and nothing ends up being done. We are not a serious country.
I love this city, feeling like this is not what anyone expected, on one of the most beautiful February days in KC. I’m devastated for the families involved. Prayers to the people of Kansas City my neighbors.
For some reason I had a gut feeling something might happen and i decided not to go last min I didn’t trust drunks around my 9yr old son and now I’m relieved
Nick's commentary after the George Flyod death because of police brutality is still the one that resonates with me. This is a close 2nd. If you haven't seen it, something I haven't heard on TV so eloquently put.
Was nervous about how they would address this. Proud of the 3 ways they addressed it. Brou provided perspective, Wildes was transparent and Nick was passionate/heartfelt.
Like Wildes, I am struggling for words to describe the deep sadness and despair I feel. What I can say though is that in the darkest hour, Nick's true colours as a community leader shine through like a beacon providing some direction, hope and comfort.
Thank you guys for doing this today ... sports is what brings us all here but sometimes things are much much bigger than that. Wilde's monologue almost brought me to tears and hearing Nick be so open about how these moments have affected him was incredibly touching. The fact that three men were able to be so vulnerable with each other and millions of viewers is something we so desperately need ... I've always loved you guys but I have so much more respect for you than I already had for choosing to air this segment.
Thank all three of you for your openness ❤ I (a Chiefs fan and KC Native) look forward to this show above all others. Each of you has made me laugh and smile all season. Today, I cried with you. Thank you for what you all do. KC STRONG ❤️💛❤️💛
I was at parade, but our group ended up not going to rally. It's making me mad that it is hard to stay mad - it's something we've just come to accept as an inevitably and not even shocked by anymore. We're nuts.
Man you perfectly encapsulated how I felt. I just accept it now because this is just what happens in this country now. I barely even looked at the coverage yesterday because I know another thing will happen
I was there too and we didn’t go to the rally either. I have a friend who was a few feet from the shooting and whose parents were working the parade. She’s pretty scarred from the whole thing. It’s horrible.
The rest of the world knows it too. People in two different countries have talked to me and openly mocked America for its gun control, and it’s extremely sad that it’s not even refutable. We’ve just accepted it and do nothing continuously
My kids and I were also at the parade. Tried to get to the rally to get a look at the First things First guys but it was way to crowded to see anything. So we ended up leaving just as it started. As we were getting on the shuttle buses saw police cars racing to the scene. These types of things are heartbreaking for our country.
Been watching this show religiously for years now, love the chemistry and everything else everyone has been saying about it. Wildes and Brou took the whole thing to another level. But man, everytime Nick gets to go in depth about these kinda topics he's just fantastic, be it Brady retiring and the parallels to his own career, or be it this. Great job Nick, that was special
Thank you all. I’ve had kind of a rough last couple years and tuning into the show everyday has been my one constant. You had such a poignant response not just because you were there but because what makes the show great is the authenticity of your personalities and the emotional connection you clearly share. It makes the funny moments funnier and the emotional ones more impactful.
@lkhguycrazy it's not about guns but gang violence, that community which I won't name needs to look in the mirror. They dislike their own kind not all but some
@Max_Krypto No, finish the sentence. Which community? Say it out loud. Don't hide behind vague language...if you're going to be hateful, do it out loud so we can see it for what it is.

Wildes and Nick, such raw emotion. Fact you can tell Wildes spends the entire segment, I feel, trying to keep hold of himself, was so powerful. Brou's words were wonderful also. I'm from the UK, we don't get these situations often, if at all. These three, especially Nick and Wildes, make me realise how terrifying and emotional it is. You guys couldn´t have put it any better. I too am from KC and love my city but now live in Spain. When I told my Spanish wife that there was going to be a parade, she asked me how many people did I think would be killed or hurt. When I asked her about her comment she stated that in General Americans just don´t know how to have fun without bringing in some violence. I got thinking about her statement, I have been to so many festivals here in Spain where hundreds of thousands of people are out in the street, drinking and having a great time. Festivals that may go on for a week at a time and never in all of my time here have I seen acts of violence that are so common in the country that I love so much. It breaks my heart. I agree with Nick, it is our fault. I would say pray but it is not in God´s hands it is in ours.
I’ve shared this with many friends who have shared it with many more. The common reaction is tears. You guys being so openly genuine and the tragedy of it all being captured is amazing. All the support to you and yours as well as the KC community. I’m a 44 year old man who had a great season bridging a couple generation gap with a swifty over talk about the chiefs and football and just having fun. Sucks so much that this is how the season ended. Your reaction was received universally across the board. Thank you.
I've never watched this show, but i heard about Nick's monologue from someone, so i looked for it. It shouldn't take courage to say what he said, but it does. Right now.. it takes a LOT of courage. And he said it so well. I just want to shout him out. Good on you. We need a nation full of people like you.. courageous enough to say the simple things you said. Every single person with influence that stands up and says it makes it a little easier for the next person. You did it with the type of style and grace that doesn't just make it a little easier for the next one.. it makes it a lot easier. One day, we will stop failing our babies. I have to believe that. Thank you, Nick. That was awesome.
I have never committed on any UA-cam video in my life… but that was the most moving, sensitive and accurate description of the state of our world I have ever heard stated. so what is your fix to the issue? pass gun laws that dont affect criminals at all? i mean everyone wants to blame the guns , but even if guns were gone, people would still find ways to harm others in massive way. cars, bombs, knives, poison, etc. at some point we need to blame the people that are doing these horrific things, not the inanimate objects. why should the 99.9% of people be punished because of the bad 0.01% ? theres 500 million guns in the country, theres no law that will stop mass shootings in the future. how come these sprees of mass shootings didnt happen before 2000 ? its almost like society changed and morals were lost. we need to build the family model back up again, fathers need to be fathers. every mass shooter has a mental problem, we need to work on mental health before anything, because thats where the real change happens. and thats beyond just mass shootings
There are no solutions only tradeoffs.
Well said, friend.
😢
Fr I watched yesterday’s episode today. It was crazy to see him say that. Wow
Yes it's sad years from now yesterday's parade won't be remembered by the awesome time had by those in K.C. Chiefs victory parade, but by the shooting that killed 1 and injured over 20.
Where are the vids??? I wanted to watch them but I see nothing here.
Wildes is talking about survivors guilt I think
@@zachwwwwwwwosofkd12949 He's pushing for gun control for white people to solve bl@ck gun crime, just like Wright was. When nick said, "and that's my home town" his voice cracked and so did my heart.

Insane.

They all had very emotional comments and they came straight from their hearts.
I liked all 3 for different reasons. Brou was a religious/spiritual man, as a black man.

I have never committed on any UA-cam video in my life… but that was the most moving, sensitive and accurate description of the state of our world I have ever heard stated. I have never seen your program before and am so glad I stumbled upon your commentary. I will forward this to everyone I know. Heart goes out to you and others from my old hometown
of KC.
