Sounds like this smoothes out and expands mixing options for songs that we're once incompatible due to key and temp differences. Sounds like a winner to me
I bought pitch 'n time 4 days ago and I really like it.The mixing is much better and the tracks with different keys mix perfect and in harmony when pitch ' n time is used.
Great video on explaining this. Was clueless about this pack and got it for free with my new controller. Look forward to watching more of your videos
Thanks for showing me a new level!
I could tell the difference too. Good video
I added this expansion pack, but it doesn't have all these buttons to push the key up and down for some reason. Does anyone know why?
I look back at a younger me starting off on cheap belt drive decks. Man how the mixing rigs have evolved lol.
Me too! Technics SB.... or something like that with a Radio Shack mixer... Look Out Now! Lol😂
very helpful
key lock / master key lock was doing what pitch n time is supposed to do. if they tweak it to sound "better" why is it not apart of the update for the program itself to make it better. but if you think its gonna make you better at djying and the crowd will go wild when its used in your mixing go get it
Damn, so the newest version of Serato is gonna make Mixed in Key obsolete? If so, yessssss!
So does this feature help or hurt for scratching?
it only best on INT mode not on REL if you're using cdjs with time code cds right?
Greetings , i bought the ddj sx3 controller used, but the pitch n play and the sound color doesn’t work, can you help me on that>?
Thanks for this vid! Very useful.
Dumped Serato back in 2011 because the keylock was garbage, kind of warbly on pianos and female vocals. Does this pitch and time fix all that? Thanks.
If it was like the ordinary keylock, they would't charge money for it. Must been much better than the keylock/masterkey of the old pioneer cd-players. Check this out... ua-cam.com/video/6u4G81JYvKo/v-deo.html
extra $29?... I search pitch n time on Serato and it says $399le and $799pro. Am I looking at something different?
Yup. You're looking at the studio plug-in Serato has available for other DAW's.
so am I to understand that a song keyed 2A and a song keyed 12A can't be matched, or shouldn't be matched??? songs have to be closer together in key and bpm's for PnT to work correctly and not alter the sound quality of the song???
Gustavo Ramirez practice more and youll see this is not the case
This is brilliant as soon as you turn on PNT your CPU light goes off which means they really need to tweak it. The expansion is prob great for controllers but really horrible with DVS when scratching esp with slow movement.
Which processor do you have? Just curious if this package would work with my laptop
Seba Kerckhof I have an i7 processor they may of fixed PNT lately and the plugin is only useful if your equipment has above +8 pitch as you won't be able to do extreme pitch changes like the software demonstrates. On a controller sure but if your turntables don't have extended pitch adjustments you'll be limited with the software.
This question is killing me: If I have a 28 minute spoken word audio webcast, mastered with some nice Voxengo Elephant presets, and all ready-to-publish, HOW DO I STRETCH my webcast to exactly 30 minutes? Could I use your soft to do this?
Serato DJ is probably not the best way to do this. This is for live music performance. I think production software like Adobe Audition might be better suited to your needs.
@Michael Barnes Thank you.. I heard that FL Studio could do this, but the terminology between different DAWS is different...
The pitch shift feature comes standard in Traktor, I mean, for $100/ $50 a year! 😬
Thank you i thought my mind was playing tricks on me when i seen this ... Sticking to TRAKTOR
It's a one time purchase, isn't it?
Does the Free Version work the same? where can i download it?
Hello there DJ Hepa, quite honestly that mix you sampled for this video didn’t sound that good, I’ve noticed that the tempo was off by 1 in when compared on the graphics display, 72.0 and 72.1 could that have affected the mix?
x 50? if used at average pitch 8,16,24 you wont if notice anything between the two. bare in mind though, serato dj is a firmware so the companies can manipulate the program with every update to mess it up to then sell you supm. be creative make a transitional remixes to use instead of super speading up a track x 50 to mix it.
if you will turn up your recording volume you wont have to max out track volume
39
How much is it lol?
ok at 6:10 of the video, your right deck is at 72.1 bpm & the left deck is at 72.0 bpm. why are both tracks on beat? shouldn't the left deck be a bit faster?
jog wheel on your turntable help adjust the speed along with the software
with a difference of .1 in most tracks that mean you have about 20 to 30 seconds before the go noticeably out of sync for any none dj
Why did he pick them shitty songs to use as a sample? Any black music samples?
the music kills me!
Don’t waste your time he doesn’t even explain how to use the goddamn software
