I could watch this genre of videos all day long. It's a real world puzzle, allowing viewers to pause the video and decide what we'd do next. I especially like the high resolution of your camera, making it much easier to see the details of your wiring diagrams. And I like the way you didn't edit out a simple mistake, it's honest and real. Bravo, man!
I can appreciate the honesty of this video and the making of the mistake bc I go through that all the time and get very frustrated bc it seems that I just can’t find that needle in the haystack sometimes. Thanks for showing us that even other professionals go through the same things that we do and it’s not just us. Well done man!
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME ,,, THE REASON WHY I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS IS BECAUSE IT'S REAL WORLD TESTING AND WE HERE CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH OR GET ENOUGH . PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING I MUST WATCH EVERY ONE EVERY DAY THANKS SO MUCH 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
I discovered your channel today and have watched a few of your videos (now I’m a subscriber). I grew up in Passaic County (now reside in southwest Ohio).
Back feeding is one of the common mistakes to make. I know I have been there and then realize and after everything checks out, I see that I had the wire tapped which makes it look like everything is good. Then some hope comes back when you realize what you did and in your case, you fixed the problem lol
I have a 2004 Buick rendezvous and mine doesn’t even crank and there is no spark fuses are all good so is the starter. I used a remote starter switch that’s how I found out I don’t have any spark I was thinking ignition module but that doesn’t explain why it doesn’t even crank any ideas what else might be the problem any advice would be appreciated.
If you used a remote starter switch to crank it, it makes sense you would not have spark because the key is not starting it so the PCM is not telling it to spark.
Good Idea! I actually did mess with them for about 5 min, nothing happened the grounds were pretty corroded so the shop got them all cleaned up. hopefully it's fixed, if not I guess they'll be a part 2 😉. Thank you for watching!
your ocntent is awesome! but the way you have the videos sped up just a tad bit makes me feel like im suffering from methamphetamine psychosis - and i havent even smoked meth in 2 days!
when you went down to bellhousing grounds i saw the wire used for bypass earth in shot and all the time you were testing i was thinking hope you disconnected bypass earth then you said it a little tug on the earths can temp restore ground so was the contact bad between the eyelets bolt and bellhousing or in the crimp and wire you could have put a bulb and power to earth at the connector and the wire you touched would have lit it but shit happens only just found your channel and subbed dont forget to tell your veiwers its free to subscribe
I was called to another garage to fix a 2005 300c chrysler. The problems they noticed with the car was Hard or no start, red lightning bolt flashing, no throttle response, headlight stays on, battery and ESP light remaining ON during, most times immediate stalling after starting however, if it doesn't stall there's a rough idle throughout idling as a result a old PCM was replaced with a new one however problem still persisted. I scanned for DTC codes and saw a P0340, P2167, P2166, P2115, P2116, p0603 and more module codes like C2202, U0168, U1414, B1A25, etc. Please, how can I fix these problems? Can you also 🙏 provide me with the wiring diagram to CMP, CKP, APP factory values and how to test them? What should I be looking for in fixing the blinking red lightning bolt limp mode light, how can I reset the throttle without a scanner?
The codes you have are for the camshaft, and APP and I think you meant to write P0403 (not P0603) which is for the egr. All those share a 5v ref feed from the pcm, the only other sensor on that 5v ref is the map sensor. I'm not sure why there is no code for that, but I would definitely start looking at that 5v ref circuit. Feel free to email me and I can send you a diagram.

Crank no start is always the hardest jobs, takes time to figure out, Great job, enjoyed!!
Thank you for watching!
Great video.
I have the habit of when testing for RPM on the scan tool, to graph both RPM and MAF on crank no start, it helps give direction.
Great point!
@@advancedleveldiagnostics Thank you for the reply. Love your videos.
Don't you just love when it fixes itself...
Story of my life.. 😂
I've got this problem and hopefully this is helpful
Good luck!
Excellent video, keep up the good work brother
Thank you!
I felt it when you said crap. We all make simple mistakes like that from time to time. Keep pushing bro. Solid work
Thanks for watching!
Good tips for checking crank no starts!
Thank you!
Honest mistake trust the best of us have done it. Great thing from that is it’s lesson learn by one self. Great job bro

No cap on brake master cylinder reservoir. I hope it hasn't gotten too much water in it.
Didn't notice. Thanks for watching!
Great video, in what area of New Jersey do you work?
Ocean County, Thanks for watching!
Just a question and I don’t know if you’ll respond but when you grounded it the first time you fixed the whole problem right ?
I'm not clear what you're asking, but the coil was missing a ground, so I supplied one, and the car started.

If you used a remote starter switch to crank it, it makes sense you would not have spark because the key is not starting it so the PCM is not telling it to spark.
With the car running I would have started messing with the wire, if it's a break in the wire surely the issue would come back.

Thanks for watching! I'm sorry this video is not sped up at all, unless my editing software is doing it without me realizing it.🤔
@@advancedleveldiagnostics something about it seems like it is. i may be incorrect though!
Egere ate these grounds at
What scan tool are you using
Topdon Phoenix elite

@@advancedleveldiagnostics no thank you for the videos
What's the rest of the story? 😮 You might want to install a separate ground. That way it will not come back for lack of ground.
The shop cleaned the grounds, they were quite bad. If the car is still there I will tell them to run a secondary ground. Thanks for the tip!
Having the same exact issue, crank and no start, will follow this tutorial and provide and update
Hope it helps!
So what was the problem? Why it didn’t start? The diagnosis
Bad ground to the ignition coil.
👍👍👍
You're gonna wait till it breaks?, Why can't you add another ground?
Shop cleaned up grounds, & I recommended to add external ground, not sure if it was done. Thanks for watching!
Yep been there done that.touch it and it works.keep the videos coming bro.
Thanks 👍
I have a 2006 Buick rendezvous 5.3 I was driving it cut off now it doesn't crank over what is it

I bet you it never broke again, lol
🤣 They cleaned the grounds anyways and so far, so good.
My moms 2002 rendezvous is doing the same thing
Crankshaft positioning sensor….its not the driving chain like shops will tell you😢
Seems I spend as much if not more time fixing poke and hope holes as I do actual problems. Stop using pricing probes .
It's the only way to get a reliable connection, when you backprobe the whole time your doubting your connection.
I saw jerking wires, I thought oh,oh, what if its intermintant.
I beg to disagree! When it cranks that means it start though engine do not run.
You may be right with the words but any service writer would put that down as "Crank no start". Thanks for watching!
Are you the guy that worked at toyota now does mobile diag?
Sorry Not me, I never worked at Toyota. Thanks for watching!
I think that's Pine Hollow Diagnostics
@@aberobinson1 I don't think Ivan ever worked at Toyota.
