I love your style of videos. It's like a documentary, reality show, and a favorite family video all in one. Educational, fun, and artistic. Can't wait for part 3!!!
Hey Bram Thank you very much for making these videos. Part one was awesome as well. We booked the Norwegian Joy pretty early 2026 for my wife’s 50th birthday and really getting a good insight on what this cruises is like thanks to your videos so again, I really appreciate the video and especially the detail on the on-site amenities. Thanks my friend and have a great day Tom
Great video, Bram - so fun watching you & Mellie enjoy the Joy! Can’t wait to be on her again in just 3 short weeks, this video is helping to fill the gap of impatience until then 😊
Thank you Bram. I love all the details in your video. It really helps me to know what to expect when we cruise on the Joy in December. I've already watched the video twice. I'll probably watch it a few more times before December. And I love the intro! Your narrator has a great voice. For a minute, I thought it was Morgan Freeman! Good job! 😊
Thank you! Comments like yours are super motivating. As for the narrator, I sure hope he sounded like Morgan Freeman because I paid a voice actor to do Morgan Freeman 😅
Love love your videos. I never get enough ! I will be on the NCL Getaway in 12 days, so I am already on the mood with your video! I hope to meet you one of these next cruises!❤
We sailed on a 16 day Panama Canal cruise on the Joy last year, so this was a lovely revisit. I watched your video, however, as our next cruise in November will be a transatlantic crossing (Miami to Southampton) on the Encore.. I like your style of vlogging (nothing more disappointing than expecting to see some cruise video and instead see two people sitting on a couch telling me about their trip!). I also appreciate your dry sense of humour! You've got yourself a new subscriber.
Thank you Susan! That's very motivating for me. I also wonder why so many people watch that kind of content and often wonder "am I doing it wrong?" Enjoy your Transatlantic voyage, we are also looking at doing another one 😎 and thanks so much for subscribing!!!
Another great video , interesting as have always interested in a transatlantic, always enjoy sea days enjoying the boat but a bit concerned we would have hit your drinks total early on with le bistro and other great food lol ,looking forward to episode 3
Thanks Marcus, the Escape is my favorite ship and doing a transatlantic with her is on the top of my list. So I am jealous! Have a great cruise and enjoy every second 😎
I've seen some.of the reviews... I try to avoid rating things in my videos so everyone can make up their own mind based on whay they see. But I think it was clear, I found nothing to complain about really. It was an amazing cruise!
In Florida the winter is from the middle of January to the end of February where in Port Canaveral area during the day it can be a high of 70s and as low as 30's so in the Miami area it will be much warmer. I was in the Navy and stationed in Charleston SC, it can get a bit warm mid day, but the warm area starts at the top of Florida in the winter. So as you near the top of Florida the only issue will be a bit of wind on the outside of the ship.
Going on NCL Epic in Mediterranean in July. I enjoy your videos, specifically NCL as that is the line I will be on for my first cruise. I will have my birthday while there, going to Cagney's. Nice watching your videos..
That will be an amazing cruise! The Epic is my biggest love/hate ship. Love the open decks for a sunny itinerary, hate the cabins. I use Filmora for my editing, can't really say much about the others 😬
It's strange seeing how one side of the forward lounge was turned into a group of cabins, but then again - the sides of that beautiful lounge were never used in the evening (only on sea days and embarkation day, while everyone is waiting for their cabin). We often had an aperitif of after dinner drink in the observation lounge and then it was usually quiet. Hope the service in Taste and Savor are better than they were in September of 2023, because then (when we sailed on Joy in New England and Canada) service there was far below the level of the bigger complementary restaurant.
I sailed the Joy again from NYC to Quebec City in Sept, it was quite nice. First time I sailed her was when she had just been converted from the China market and she was still a little rough. I almost last minute booked the cruise you're on, but the last minute flight from Montreal to London was just too expensive (3x the cost of the cruise!). I booked next feb's Bliss transatlantic from southhampton to miami instead. :)
Looking forward to cruising on the Joy next December but the one thing I noticed missing here is... does the Joy not have Syd Norman's, or did you just not go? Definite sad face for me if it won't be on the Joy, though. Just got back a few weeks ago from seeing another of their cast on the Norwegian Breakaway. Went to every show (except for the 2nd Rumors show on the one night they did 2 shows) and loved every minute of it. Also did the Behind the Scenes tour on that ship and found out from the production manager that they often get complaints about the size of the venue but she confirmed my thoughts on that which were that the size of the venue is, itself, part of the show! Wouldn't quite work right on the main stage, but she also said they may move the Rumors show they do onto the main stage and I can see it for that show since it is less "interactive" than their main shows are. Also, you go "all American" with Budweiser!? Yuck! Thankfully that beer is quickly losing ground to the ever-growing craft brew craze here in the States. (Not that I should really talk since I almost never drink... even if I did have to teach a bartender on the Breakaway how to make a Negroni Sbagliato with Aperol :D)
Trust me, if they had Syd Normans, I would have been every day and shared a lot of it 😅 As for Budweiser... I agree, never said it was the best. Unfortunately it's as American as McDonalds, and they don't serve the best burgers either do they? 😆 I meant no disrespect nor bad taste 🤣🤣🤣
@@BRAMSEASTHEDAY Well, that rice-swill "beer" is still, I think, the biggest selling brand here n America, but like McD's, too, there's no accounting for taste. Besides how could it be disrespectful when it's just true! :D I was feeling more bad about your drinking it (and at least hoping you wouldn't think that was representative of what all American beers taste like these days!)
Dear Bram, You know I love your style of videos making us feel like if we were with you. But this case is special because I was on NCL Joy only two weeks after you on a “normal” western Caribbean cruise out of Miami. It brings back great memories. One thing I like is how you put NCL personnel under a great light. Those people work a lot, with the smile to make us feel good and you convey that expertly. They are exactly how you show them. The bar bill “accident” was quite revealing. Never a problem. One point I disagree with you is the Observation Lounge massacre. I do not mind the disappearance of the laser tag or the video game lounge. But cutting 40% of the Observation Lounge is a huge mistake. Executives in other companies have been fired for cause for decision less dramatic than this. Your cruise being at 50% you might not have noticed it. But on a normal cruise, the new Observation lounge is overcrowded. At peak hours or on sea days, it is tough to find a free sofa or table. The afternoon buffet comes with a 12-20 people line waiting to be served. They removed the small buffet on the port side. All in all, the greatest place on the ship has been made less appealing. I rather go on the Encore, Bliss or Escape. And thanks for your opening comments on transatlantic cruises. It might convince my wife to try it. It is one of my dreams. Very high on my bucket list. Sea days, I always love!! Thanks for your good work!
The Observation Lounge was always full this cruise, I should have made that clear in the video. I had to go at 06:15 am to be able to film there. So sailing at 50% capacity was already terrible. But I should have mentioned it. When I said it's still nice, I meant the area is still a nice area. If you get a spot yes... 🙈
I saw this one listed for basicly the same price as what we paid each. The repositioning cruises are the cheapest ones out there. But the solo cabins often seem more expensive. Check a normal cabin, and for 1 person.
Just of the NCL website. Search under "Transatlantic" with nothing else marked. (Exept later select 1 person cruising) I'm seeing 24 cruises and starting at 1050 euro, for a single!
I love your style of videos. It's like a documentary, reality show, and a favorite family video all in one. Educational, fun, and artistic. Can't wait for part 3!!!
Thank you Dena! You boosted my enthousiasm! 😎😊
Great start to my day!
Good morning Benoit! 😉

Thank you Tom! I just hope you're not counting down the days yet because that is one hell of a wait. But it will be worth it! 🥳
Great video, Bram - so fun watching you & Mellie enjoy the Joy! Can’t wait to be on her again in just 3 short weeks, this video is helping to fill the gap of impatience until then 😊
So happy to see Mellie (and you) again!
Thanks! She's still a bit uncomfortable with me filming everything we do but she will be happy to read this 😚
Ohh excited to watch 👀 we get on Joy in 29 days! Thanks for the content 🌊
Have a great cruise! 🥳
Great vlog Bram and Mellie, very informative and enjoyable!

I prefer the Getaway over the Breakaway only because of the expanded theming of Syd Normans 😎😎😎
I loved my thermal spa package on escape and used it several days!!
The ship really needed a Spa experience. It's a good update!

Your videos are edited nice and like a pro! Keep up the good work bro 👍🏻💪🏻
Thanks buddy! 😚
Another great video, I loved Joy and it looks even better after the refit. Shame the weather wasn't hotter on the crossing. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Steve! 😎
Another great video , interesting as have always interested in a transatlantic, always enjoy sea days enjoying the boat but a bit concerned we would have hit your drinks total early on with le bistro and other great food lol ,looking forward to episode 3
Thanks! Keep in mind the drink total is for the drinks we have "while together", and EACH. 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks! Was waiting for the second part…. Doing transatlantic on Escape from BCN this year- we see things the same way!
Thanks Marcus, the Escape is my favorite ship and doing a transatlantic with her is on the top of my list. So I am jealous! Have a great cruise and enjoy every second 😎
I’m glad you like the Joy I hear so many bad comments about the Joy. I was on it about 5 years ago. I love it.
I've seen some.of the reviews...
I try to avoid rating things in my videos so everyone can make up their own mind based on whay they see. But I think it was clear, I found nothing to complain about really. It was an amazing cruise!

That will be an amazing cruise! The Epic is my biggest love/hate ship. Love the open decks for a sunny itinerary, hate the cabins. I use Filmora for my editing, can't really say much about the others 😬
I picked Filmora because I found a lot of UA-cam videos explaining how to do certain things. I would use UA-cam to make up your mind of what to use ☝️

Well, this cruise of course were all sea days, and busy pretty much all the time 🥴
Taste and Savor had great service!
Great video Bram as always 😉👍

Great plan. That one has a good price too. I guess the NCL Joy is fine tuned now. Cruising out of NY is the most special sail away for me!
another great video i will be waiting for the next one...
Always more.to come Kevin 😉
Bram, only thing worse than country music is loud county music! Thanks for bringing back memories!
🤣🤣❤️
Great meeting you Keegan! Keep cruising!
Thank you Bram for showing us the Joy, We sail on her in 2025
I hope I managed to bridge the gap a bit and it gained excitement 🥳
@@BRAMSEASTHEDAY that it did
Great video! I enjoy your channel. Thanks for sharing. AnnaMaria
Thanks for watching! 😎
We are doing a TA on NCL Encore next month going from Miami to Southhampton. I’m hoping it will be as nice as this one.
I enjoy your videos!!! Please share... what is a mango meltodown? That looked amazing!
Mostly rum, dash of Disaronno, mango mix and strawberry mix. 😎😎😎

No worries, after 30 years in the (Belgian) beer business I am well aware of what's out there!

I’m a solo cruiser love to do a transatlantic, but it’s just too expensive alone got any hints

I see a simular cruise on Bliss next year, 13 days, at 1250 euro, single in a solo cabin.
