Yeah, same. I always thought original Michael is a really interesting character, and I was really sad when they killed him off. AU Michael was always rather boring to me, though. He somehow seemed to have less depth than our Michael, and completely lacked the aspects that I liked about our Michael.
Oh, I completely agree. In 15x08, I was really excited about Michael's return and the extremely entertaining interactions between him and Adam. The show had something great going there and I was hoping we'd get more of that before the end, but... sadly we did not. I wasn't too happy with the way they backtracked all that character development for Michael in 15x19 with barely so much as an explanation, and especially not with the way they killed Michael off.
@@hidingamaranth I just wish the forthcoming spinoff had been focused around the major angels and Castiel, with Crowley as well.. rather than the parents of the Winchesters who I didn't personally find interesting characters.

I'm actually one of the few people who like Mary as well, mostly for the open-minded way she accepted Cas and Jack into the family, telling Jack outright that he's family to her and even calling Cas "one of her boys". And the trailer for Winchesters did look fun--and had a short second of Castiel in it! If I had to pick between those two choices, I'd go with Cas, Crowley and the angels for sure, though. That really does sound like the most fun spin-off I could imagine, and would be my ideal pick (maybe even with some Rowena strewn in, both for extra fun and to finally see a reunion between her and Crowley now that her eyes have been opened). I'd be so hyped right now if that was what we'd be getting in a few months.
True, I would have *loved* to see more of Michael and Gabriel. And, well, Raphael really could have used more of an arc or characterization. Would have been interesting to learn more about his relationship to the other three, we barely knew anything about him.
Ooooh, that would be so much fun to watch! Just thinking of Adam's "Maybe I should pick up some kinda little job" and Michael's incredulous "A little job?" here, haha. Having two characters share one body really is just a special kind of viewing pleasure, especially when acted in a way as amazing as what Jake Abel is doing.

The characters were the best part of Supernatural. My gosh the archangels!
