I just watched the original video. And commented. Basic recap my Belgian malinois crushed my dwarf garden. I lifted it as it was going to die in his play zone. A hard cut and into the right media. And a harder cut. It began leafing up. It didn't flower last year but more growth this year has it ready to have some slight reduction. I came looking for inspiration and sure found it. Thanks for the follow up. Nice to hear some decent music on a video too. 😊
I’m about 3 weeks behind you due to slightly later flowering, and I nervously did the same hard prune to branches and roots. Was slow to respond but is popping everywhere now after 6 weeks. Recently put mine outside to take advantage of the hot weather but watching your video I’ve returned it to the greenhouse because nights are definitely getting cooler. Fingers crossed 😊
It’s wonderful seeing how the trees bounce back after such a hard pruning and amazing seeing follow-up videos 😜 it’s also great seeing the camera man on the other side of the lens 😊
Nice video Corin! Mine is not as vigourous as yours, so I removed most flowers and just let it go this year. But, I'm thinking about doing this next year when it's hopefully more vigorous to also re-structure the larger branches. Question: When you hard prune after flowering, and you trim these longer shoots now, will it flower next year? Or will you not get flower buds now? Thanks!
It’s nice to hear a bit of Marley going on 😊Dennis

Great to see an update on this tree 🙏
Mine have all got a couple of decades of growing before getting anywhere near that monster 🤗😁
The tree has responded really well. Hopefully we can see an update next year when it is in flower.
Great update and outcome from such a drastic pruning! Thank you Corin.

I hope you'll show what it looks like with blooms
que azalea espectacular!
Looking back at the first trim, you couldn’t even see any or the trunk or branch structure. What a difference
nice barber work

I don't know if I have an eye to do this
Red outline on the thumbnail makes it look like I've already watched this video.
Intriguing this video
Would you carry out this work Corin without access to a greenhouse ?
That Satsuki has the best movement and trunk
You could if we had a more reliable summer in the UK. For those in warmer climates, a greenhouse wouldn't be needed id say

❤🌸
Hi Corin, what soil mix do you use on your satsuki? Thanks, Sean
How old would you guess this tree is. I have a few that are about 6 years old, and they are tiny compared to this thing.
Forgot to ask, when will you move it outside from the greenhouse?
@@mikewoods1313 it will stay in the greenhouse to maximise growth till next spring
@@greenwoodbonsaistudio thanks Corin
very nice you will have to be built like a rugby player to move that monster from one place to another ....lol
Lush
The pot is a lot better
