    I know this is an old video, but it has been very helpful. I wish more people made videos the same way you did this. No extra bull, just to the point, with detail. Awesome video! keep it up.

    I'll be doing this this weekend to my '98. Thank you so much for this vid! I'm no automechanic, but times are hard. A lot less expensive to buy a radiator for 200 and replace it myself than pay $1K to an autoshop, which is what all the ones around me have estimated. Can I email you if I have any questions between now and this weekend about this? today is July 1st. If you don't see this message till after the 5th, i'll be done, lol.

    Fantastic video. I am doing my 2003 ML 350 and the only thing that you did not cover was that plastic bumper between the condenser and 3/4 of the way down. Might not have been on yours. Looks like a bumper separator.

    awesome instructional video. easy to understand and great video quality. keeping the listener informed as to exactly what size wrenches you were using on each bolt was helpful too. some folks just say " now. remove these two bolts". you made it look like anyone could do this. thank you. ........i have a ML and it is leaking from the front left, passenger side on the bottom. not from a hose or anything. when i pour antifreeze in it runs right out the bottom. any suggestions? is the radiator drain plug on that side? could it be that?

    You forgot to mention the difficult A/C Can mounted to the side [drivers] of the radiator with the star [e-type] bolt that needs to be loosen in order to get the radiator away from the A/C condenser, some shots were very blurry.
    Nice music and good flow otherwise.

    • @saucerguy3

      I am dealing with that now, it looks like his was not even connected to begin with. I don't have that wrench and most people would not either.

    Looking forward to your coolant bleeding video as I will need it soon. Do I have to remove all the front stuff to replace the lower radiator hose...the big one on the passenger side? I have leak right now at the hose right where the hose clamp is on the radiator...easy to reach, but where it connects with the engine looks difficult to reach. I just discovered the source of my leak today and am ordering new hose tomorrow. (I do the simple stuff myself. I did a couple of UA-cam videos of my old Ford diesel Powerstroke, fuel filter replacement and air filter replacement.)

    • @KicksnWhips
      @KicksnWhips  10 років тому

      You can try & fish a quarter inch wrench with a 7mm socket with a small extension between the fan blades to get to the clamp, if that don't work u more than likely have to remove the fan to get to it .

    How did you plug the ATF lines so fluid didn't run out? Looks like PS lines are rubber and easier to plug. I see a Mercedes plug set avail on the WIS which costs $$, any tech tip for keeping the ATF oil in and clean?

      Sorry for the late reply, it's on the lower pass of the radiator, slowly open it first to control the stream of coolant with catch pan underneath, once again sorry for the late reply

    There's a stupid (no need to say it, it's a benz) plastic pin that sandwiches the condenser to the radiator. This car didn't have it or it was removed in previous service. Is it reusable, disposable, expendable, etc? does anyone know how to release it?

    After I replaced the radiator, I have a transmission leak at the nut on the radiator. What should I do? Thanks.

    • @saucerguy3
      @saucerguy3 3 роки тому

      He mentioned the washers that need to go back into it, otherwise it will leak. Also, take note, it's easy to cross thread them which of course is a a big no no, make sure yours are threaded on correctly.

      Stevie, I'm late to the prom here for the radiator instructions, although I wondered if I could request your insight? One my vehicle was running hot, though only due to not charging the ac so the fans could run to keep the cooling fans functional, and so when I did, noww it does not overheat, yet there appears to be a small drip on the bottom driver of the radiator.

    • @ParkerFaith
      @ParkerFaith 3 роки тому

      Additional, I also after returning from a long drive, went to check the ac charge with the meter however dropped and in the process had to crawl on the side behind the passenger wheel and noticed a slight bit of coolant and as it so happen to be evening, then noticed a slight white smoke, yet again, it's not overheating...so I'm sort of confused. I would definately appreciate any information; I am disabled, had to remove my rgo brace just to get barely under and pray that it's more obvious to you as to what it is and an uncomplicated less muscle type of repair or suggestions to manage. Sincerest
