Love how you teach her gardening and she teaches you about burn outs and junk food. Lol.

Wow! That’s a lot of tubers. I would be interested in seeing what you do next with them. Will you be washing all the dirt off? Will you divide them before you store them? How and where you store them! Will you sell or keep etc? Thank you for my Sunday laughs, you too are so much fun to listen too! Have a great week! 👏😊👍🫶and a happy thanksgiving 🦃

I grew a lot of varieties this year to kind of decipher what my favorites are… so as I divide and store them, I will plant more tubers of the ones I loved and try to sell any excess tubers closer to March of next year.

Also- I left some dirt on the clumps so that I don’t have to hurry to divide them. I am washing them as time allows and dividing. I am about halfway through my stock at the moment. I have clumps still with dirt on them in my garage. I could wait until spring also but I like to know what I have and what I will
Need if any for the year ahead. 🙂 I’m currently storing the individual tubers in plastic bins with vermiculite (Saran wrapped first) in our garage which stays 45-50° and has about 60% humidity.

Why don’t you store them at the barn?? Perfect place. Cool & dry. At least at one end of the barn it’s dry.. or will it get to cold?

Currently the barn has no heat or electricity so I have no way to monitor temps. We get down to -10° in the winter so they would definitely freeze. The plan to create a storage room for cut flowers in the summer and tuber storage in the winter. Hoping that will happen in 2024 so that next winter I can store them right there!

So much hard work! Miss seeing the gardens at your home also. Did Brian’s young helper give up with the gardening part? He was a good sport with Brian teasing him. 😀 Thanks for sharing your time with us!

He’s still around! 😂 He was actually contemplating coming that weekend to help… he should be appearing in a few episodes coming up. 😊

Normally, I don’t leave comments but I have watched your videos and tbh it’s quite hard for me because it’s very triggering. Your husband is emotional abusive, I was married to a man like this for 23yrs. He’s an obstructionist, passive aggressive, sarcastic and never complements you on ALL your hard work and Beautiful Garden! Get into marriage counseling right away!

You explained clearly the first time about planting directly into the ground and in pots, but your husband acted as if he didn’t understand you.
