You should try the Grant Stone Ottawa boot. I was looking for the tankers as well but I didn’t want to spent north of $700 for a boot I wear on the weekend because I work from home. I found Grant Stone and their Ottawa boots are for sure just as nice if not nicer at half the cost. You could even get one of their shell cordovan Ottawa’s that goes for less than $700 whereas the tankers would be around $1000.

We have all had that friend in college with the green car and the brown interior lol. That’s a pretty specific not sure it’s as relatable as you think. Nice boots!

thanks for the review, as you rightly pointed out, the commando sole on aldens are not good at all, actually it is the worst type of sole that i have seen on shoes in this price range. because it is basically a topy, the rubber part is not thick enough for them to cut a trenched (sunken) channel/groove to cover the stitches, so it is completely exposed, my tanker boot's sole stitching was broken in less than 20 wears, and i have seen others aldens sole stitch come completely undone

I’m sorry but your “and” and “umms” and “ and ums “ are super annoying to listen to. You use “and and umms” at least 2-3 times in one sentence! I can’t stand that!
