I actually loved the fact that initially you'd see starter (or slightly altered/upgraded starter) decks being used by most people. Brought back memories of times past where there was no such thing as watching guides for meta builds.
Long time MTG player here.. It is sad that in many TCG’s fun and/or casual cards/decks always get pushed aside for the stronger versions of them. I used to try to play fun/casual decks and often would get smashed to bits. Anyway, I think SWU is a great game. Given that I quit Magic (which has been great for me) and don’t desire to dive deep into another TCG I’m glad to just enjoy SWU at a very casual level and just play amongst friends. Thanks for the video!
I've been playing Magic since 98. Only casual. Only with friends and family. Never played competitive never will. It's a completely different game imo.
The reason most people played Vader or Luke in prerelease is it's the only time you would be able to play them in a sealed format. Vader and Luke leader cards do not come in booster packs, only in the starter deck and the prerelease kits.
Enjoyed this video mate. Great explanations and reasoning. I’ve not jumped into Unlimited yet, but this (and other videos) might sway me - an avid Star Wars fan that used to play TCG’s
Haven't actually played the game yet but I like the artwork and I like collecting cards so i'm pretty happy with sw unlimited so far. Good video, even without a script you kept things pretty consistent :)
Going to take some time for it to catch on. Looks like a good game with solid mechanics, good design space and one of the best IPs to work with. Should be healthy going forward.
Box mapping im not too sure about becuase ive opened boxes with luke and command without boba, it might just be placebo but at the bare minimum it doesnt seem to be anything garutueed
Sorry your prerelease fell into that meta. But I attended 4 prereleases and not once did I play with or against Luke/Vader. With over 45 people across those I can't say for certain that no one played them, but I didn't hear much about them.
Yeah, although there were some Luke’s in the prerelease events I attended (3 total), I saw a lot of variety. In the last event I played Jyn and I went against Sabine, Tarkin and Leia.

Try playing twins suns, it's the multi-player version and it's extremely fun, it's kinda like commander

Its a house or unlimited cards... after this video its looking like the unlimited cards.
House market is going through a crisis. Cards one is not. Easy choice :D

That's really interesting, glad to hear it wasn't a widespread problem.
Wait you're not a pogging geonosian :0
I'm afraid not.
