I find it astounding that while Kathy Burke was playing Perry she also starred in 'Nil by Mouth' that has gotta be one of the most hard to watch brutally realistic British films ever made as the battered wife of Ray Winstone's monster husband and the polar opposite of this character ! An incredible actress
She's awesome, it aways blows my mind how Harry Enfield, Paul Whitehouse and Kathy Burke just ended up together and all 3 are right up there in their own right.
The film came out after the multiple series of tv. It’s established early on that Perry fancies Kevin’s mum. The sketch where Kevin has his 13th birthday and becomes a teenager is fantastic
you will find that the woman that they wash the car for is the same actress (Patsy Byrne) that plays Nursey in Blackadder (the one that sits next to the Queen)
This film set me and many of my mates up ready for our time after school. Holidays, drinking and clubbing. This was a legendary film You have to be British back in the day to fully appreciate this.
It was all about the soundtrack for me and guess it says something that they still put on Kevin & Perry themed club nights to this day 😊 Iconic tunes like Lange - Follow Me, Southside Spinners - Luvstruck, Sunburst - Eyeball, Mauro Picotto - Lizard, Ayla - Ayla amongst others
This is very much a film of its time, its generation and its country. I can understand why our US cousins would feel the way they do about it. Many Brits lived through this era, loved the tunes, watched the sunset at Cafe Mambo / Cafe Del Mar, then did Amnesia, Privilege, DC10 etc. For them, this movie (despite the admittedly awful poo / puke/ zit scenes) encapsulates so many happy memories of Ibiza😎 For me, the bit that hits home is the CO2 smoke cannons at Amnesia - I was dancing next to some nuns from Manchester. Admittedly their outfits were a little skimpier than I remember the nuns at church wearing, so I'm not convinced they were actually real nuns 😉 When the CO2 went off the noise drowned out the music and I could barely see my hand in front of my face - brilliant! Oh, and the bit where Kevin's parents say "How much?" at the Amnesia entrance. Back in 2001 it was £35...£40 - ouch, I dread to think how much it is nowadays.
This is one of my fave comedy films. Reminds me of when it came out, films were good, tunes were good. Times were good in general. This is a timeless classic
love this film brings back so many fantastic memory's i went to Ibiza in my late teens /20s in the 90s/ 2000s twice a year for 15 years and i was there when they was filming this at the end of season party's we had a villa just down the road and yes i did the eyeball Paul thing and couldn't see out of one eye for 3 days and this is what ibiza was really like at the time
Kathy Burke is a queen her podcast is brilliant. That scene on the beach when they’re both “hooked in” Perry’s duck sand trough is much fatter than Kev’s which is hilarious. Edit: Spencer’s exit 😂😂😂😂 Me and my mates were allowed to go to Costa del sol age 15 my mates boyf was 18 so we could fly - group of 8 of us. As if that would happen now
This is the tale of many in English boys coming of age… And that first holiday away to a Spanish island. It is a great one time watch. And it's so easy to forget that the person playing Perry is actually A woman.
That was your best reaction yet, I was laughing so hard because I knew what was coming, but I never expected to see a grown man spew, that made it even funnier, and yes I am from the UK we have a twisted but very funny sense of humour.
I went to Ibiza with my parents at 16, was actually a great holiday. They are pretty chill so as long as i got home before they woke up i could do what i wanted. Still friends with a lot of the people i met in hotel that spent the week partying with.
Definitely a lot of stuff from this movie that ended up being copied by other British comedies so it set a tone. Also I didn't realise until recently Candice in this (Laura Fraser) is Lydia in Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul.
Can’t believe it got a thumbs down. It’s very much a film based around the time it was made, British teen coming of age culture. A lot has changed since then but it was such a popular film at the time in the uk.
Its objectively a pretty bad film so watching it randomly out of the blue I can see how it would seem bizarre but as someone that was a huge fan of Harry Enfield and a wannabe dj that was 20 when this came out I loved it. It was a time when a load of us would go raving Saturday then to the cinema every Sunday night, so many good comedy films around that time. Watching it now I can see its pretty silly but I still enjoy it. There were a load of these type films in the late 90s early 00s with varying degrees of quality, mostly pretty bad but hugely nostalgic for anyone that was around at the time. In reality this movie almost feels like a farce, alike a Carry On Film or a brit film from the 70s. Human traffic is a good film from the same era thats got some bizarre moments although thats more durg induced weirdness rather than comedy. Would recommend that for sure, loads of great British actors that went onto do big things and a 10/10 soundtrack
This movie at that time was just epic. The music and the comedy are superb, even if a little disgusting at certain points. I’ll never get tired of watching this movie. Another great Ibiza movie is ‘is Harry on the boat’ Harry, and boat, are both shortened version of cockney slang phrases.
If you guys like "Kathy Burke" you should check out "Gimmie, Gimme, Gimme", then you could try "Thin Blue Line" and come full circle back to "Rowan Atkinson" 😁
John Cena in the Prime TV film series "Freelance " said "Embrace the suck" and I thought of you guys. Then Alison Brie says it and it still reminded me of you guys. Kevin & Perry is a series that is very British. Funny in context and in parts. Kenny Everett is funnier.
It’s like Steven fry said the difference between American comedy and British comedy is the Americans love a wise cracking quick witted hero where as us brits love the losers who life takes a dump on time and time again but still come back for more
We’ve all gone through this movie if 25-40 years old 😂😂😂😂 It makes me cringe just with your reaction!!! Kevin and Perry stick with you lol when my missis tells me to do something…‘I am not your slave!’
The music is on point for the era ...good memories.....ibeeeefa is the og club island again of its era the super clubs are no more ..... Manumission had live aex acts on some nights 🤷🏻 .....if youve never been you'll never know lol
You need to react to human traffic to understand the clubbing culture of the 90’s early 00’s We’d do what they did in human traffic every weekend and then go to Ibiza for a week or 2 and have it large over there as well
I'm an old bird now but loved this film when it came out and it was so funny seeing your reaction. I didn't think you were so sensitive. 😂😂😂😂😂 its so cringey because we've all been there Ibitha no-one but no-one says Ibiza coz its spanish init
Its all very extra and there’s not many films like this, and this was way before inbetweeners the movie. I actually love this movie and the soundtrack is phenomenal
I remember seeing this at the cinema as a teenager myself, and at the time thought it was hilarious. The floater scene I found funny, but the pimple popping was gross
Watching it now at 40 i still find bits funny but its not a great film however when this came out when i was younger and watched it in the cinema me and my mates thought it was hilarious and found the poo bit really funny but its simple stupid stuff, im definitely into more clever comedy these days.
This film is weirdly culturally significant, but also absolutely terrible. Your reaction was worth watching, but still not enough to counteract the cringe. I remember watching this about 25 years ago at school (last day of term we'd often just have films on and stuff) and even then I wasn't impressed.
This film, was entirely of it's era. I was 14 when it came out - but the reference points to British teen culture at the time are so spot on.
That is definitely a watch once and never again.
Totally ! Up there with ' Irreversible' a 'must see but you will probably wish you didin't ' type of film @@sidrat2009
She's awesome, it aways blows my mind how Harry Enfield, Paul Whitehouse and Kathy Burke just ended up together and all 3 are right up there in their own right.

There´s one where Kevin loses his virginity as well! Movie backtracks lol
Yep and immediately becomes a reasonable human lol @@DanielRobertspiano
Sound track of a generation with this movie! Some of the songs are absolute bangers.
Yep, I reckon (from memory) there's at least half a dozen of those tunes on 12" vinyl in my box...
you will find that the woman that they wash the car for is the same actress (Patsy Byrne) that plays Nursey in Blackadder (the one that sits next to the Queen)
This film set me and many of my mates up ready for our time after school. Holidays, drinking and clubbing. This was a legendary film

One of my favourite films ever. Hands down. As well as having one of the most iconic soundtracks ever for clubbers of that time!
I love this movie even today. Such a classic, it's hilarious, pity they didn't see it that way
Doesn't surprise me if the actors think it's stupid. It's immature humour and people do grow up. It is funny though.
Oh I remember this!! Gross and yet hysterical..Kathy Burke is brilliant as Perry
Love the soundtrack to this, top film.
This is one of my fave comedy films. Reminds me of when it came out, films were good, tunes were good. Times were good in general. This is a timeless classic
Kev and Perry were what the rapsacallion Inbetweeners admired before going out to proper raves became nondescript.
They were the dreamers.
I still quote this film to this day lol 😂
It’s a classic!
Same here!
I am not your slave!
The lady whose car they were washing is Nursey from Blackadder.
This movie is probly one of the best tv show adaptations Eva!
Spencer disappearing to puke literally had me in tears, funniest thing Ive seen in ages
The tunes in this movie are classic. I remember the tunes more then the movie
The best soundtrack of any film ever made! Absolute bangers right through
FINALLY!
Told you 18 months ago to watch this!
Best ever movie soundtrack
love this film brings back so many fantastic memory's i went to Ibiza in my late teens /20s in the 90s/ 2000s twice a year for 15 years and i was there when they was filming this at the end of season party's we had a villa just down the road and yes i did the eyeball Paul thing and couldn't see out of one eye for 3 days and this is what ibiza was really like at the time
A movie that spawned one of the best soundtracks of all time. The music is sooo damn good.
Spencer getting angry at a film because he can't handle watching it is funny as hell. Does he think that Harry Enfield actually ate a shit there?
So glad you guys shared this here - straight to #1 on best reaction videos ever.
Take a look at 'Human Traffic'. Another 90s classic
England is smaller in land than Oregon but has given the world so much.
You should check out the first Kevin sketch, where he turns 13 and becomes a teenager 😂
The Human centrpide is the perfect film for them next .
Kathy Burke is a queen her podcast is brilliant. That scene on the beach when they’re both “hooked in” Perry’s duck sand trough is much fatter than Kev’s which is hilarious. Edit: Spencer’s exit 😂😂😂😂
Me and my mates were allowed to go to Costa del sol age 15 my mates boyf was 18 so we could fly - group of 8 of us. As if that would happen now
Didn't know she did a podcast, I love her interviews too.
You guys didn’t notice that the old lady who gives them a boiled egg for washing her car at the beginning, is Nursey from Blackadder series 2 👀
This is the tale of many in English boys coming of age… And that first holiday away to a Spanish island. It is a great one time watch. And it's so easy to forget that the person playing Perry is actually A woman.

Eyeball Paul REALLY reminds me of Liam Gallagher. Avin it large
Love kevin and oerry go large same with its all gone pete tong classics
My kids knew who eyeball paul was in primary school they are truly grateful now age 29 and 23 😂❤
Seen it a million time one of the best films
This is one of the best British movies ever made
Funniest thing about "that" scene is the eyes and fins that were stuck on to make it a poo shark.
Definitely a lot of stuff from this movie that ended up being copied by other British comedies so it set a tone.
Also I didn't realise until recently Candice in this (Laura Fraser) is Lydia in Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul.
Also Kate the blacksmith in A Knights Tale
I remember watching this a kid, growing up and understanding the adult content is crazy now😅 epic soundtrack! Great reaction 🤪
Can’t believe it got a thumbs down. It’s very much a film based around the time it was made, British teen coming of age culture. A lot has changed since then but it was such a popular film at the time in the uk.

Another great Ibiza movie is ‘is Harry on the boat’
Harry, and boat, are both shortened version of cockney slang phrases.
In the UK charts, the album peaked at #28 and the single Big Girl hit #16
Still one of my go too movies to laugh and the soundtrack is outstanding even today
It’s one of my go to movies it’s a classic.
This film made me want to go Ibiza when I was a child. Now I’m an adult, I’ve now been nearly 10 times 😂 Best place on earth
Train spotting next, for spence😆👌
If you guys like "Kathy Burke" you should check out "Gimmie, Gimme, Gimme", then you could try "Thin Blue Line" and come full circle back to "Rowan Atkinson" 😁
Best soundtrack for the movie....some real bangers on it🎉🎉🎉🎉
It's pronounced that way because we pronounce Ibiza the same way the Spanish do, and it's a part of Spain lol 😂 😂
One thumb down.. FFS Spence, you are not my fellow DJ 😂😂
A very funny gangster film is "Love, Honour and Obey" with Ray Winstone, Kathy Burke, Jude Law and Johnny Lee Miller, great film, and its on UA-cam
You won’t need to watch it again!
20+ years later and I’m still mentally scarred from some of the scenes 😂😂
That was brilliant, whenever theres water and a brit, expect shit!......
Spencer needs to man up.
Absolutely love this film. And the music is top notch as well 👍
The lady at 12 minutes you guys may or may not have noted played Nursie in Blackadder II.
this film has the best soundtrack ever on film. full stop
100% I've got them all on my phone
34:30 = my EXCAT reaction (just in the cinema, not a garage)
John Cena in the Prime TV film series "Freelance " said "Embrace the suck" and I thought of you guys. Then Alison Brie says it and it still reminded me of you guys. Kevin & Perry is a series that is very British. Funny in context and in parts.
Kenny Everett is funnier.
Are you going to watch The IT Crowd series 5 episode 1 - the final episode? It's really funny
Is no one gonna talk about how Candice is Lydia from breaking bad.
Where do you find Punk ? in my sheets ! what a line
Spencer hurling made this 2 thumbs up 😂
my coming of age film, GREAT soundtrack too
It’s like Steven fry said the difference between American comedy and British comedy is the Americans love a wise cracking quick witted hero where as us brits love the losers who life takes a dump on time and time again but still come back for more
Life is just a floater in the mouth!! Can you do a t-shirt plz 😂😂
Eyeball Paul aka Rhys Ifans went to the same high school as me. Guess I should've tried acting lol
It's pronounced Ibifa by the local population so thats why we pronounce it like that even though its spelt with a Z
America had American Pie, we do Kevin and Perry go large
I need to see react to gimme gimme gimme. Same person who plays perry in this. Shes a genius!!!
That pronunciation is the Spanish pronunciation, the local pronunciation is Evissa.
Love this one. TWAAAT!
Daniel.... you get it and i am so glad and proud.
Spencer.... you have just made yourself an enemy of a whole generation of people from the uk 😂
We’ve all gone through this movie if 25-40 years old 😂😂😂😂 It makes me cringe just with your reaction!!! Kevin and Perry stick with you lol when my missis tells me to do something…‘I am not your slave!’
Brit films worth a watch, and I mean seriously worth a watch;
RESTLESS NATIVES
TWIN TOWN
HARRY BROWN
Love this Film Your reaction has just killed me. Got to love those lights out girls.
Also react to Kevin becomes a teenager
The music is on point for the era ...good memories.....ibeeeefa is the og club island again of its era the super clubs are no more .....
Manumission had live aex acts on some nights 🤷🏻 .....if youve never been you'll never know lol
Ibiza is Tiujana (spelling) to you guys.
Mad to think that the girl kevin gets with is in breaking bad
2 girls 1 cup 😅😅😅 needs to be done guys it's a right of passage for the teenage boys in the UK 😂
You need to react to human traffic to understand the clubbing culture of the 90’s early 00’s
We’d do what they did in human traffic every weekend and then go to Ibiza for a week or 2 and have it large over there as well
The accent he's doing at the table is him trying to sound grown up and mysterious but failing terribly
theres such a charm to it
I'm an old bird now but loved this film when it came out and it was so funny seeing your reaction. I didn't think you were so sensitive. 😂😂😂😂😂 its so cringey because we've all been there
Ibitha no-one but no-one says Ibiza coz its spanish init
Try watching burnistoun made in Glasgow you’s will love it
Its all very extra and there’s not many films like this, and this was way before inbetweeners the movie. I actually love this movie and the soundtrack is phenomenal
If you liked this, you should check out "THE SEX LIVES OF THE POTATO MEN". Starring Johnny Vegas and Mackenzie Crook.
kevins girlfriend is Lydia from breaking bad
I remember seeing this at the cinema as a teenager myself, and at the time thought it was hilarious. The floater scene I found funny, but the pimple popping was gross
You need to watch football factory
Watching it now at 40 i still find bits funny but its not a great film however when this came out when i was younger and watched it in the cinema me and my mates thought it was hilarious and found the poo bit really funny but its simple stupid stuff, im definitely into more clever comedy these days.
