I didn’t see the value of doing these audits at first, but they really expose how little accountability some departments have. These cops don’t give a damn about the law, they just enjoy exerting control over other people

The chief did come off as a grump. But I can tell you this video was cut down a bit. And with these "auditors" often there is much that happened off camera or ends up on the editing floor before they post.
The longer version I saw. Before you even saw the chief, there was a few min. Of him filming the personal cars. Him being told at least once it was a employee only parking lot, and he needed to leave. So its not the situation you see here.
And he was told they had complaints on his activity in the parking lot. None of which was on the video I saw.
And I can tell you. It's possible he called the cops himself to create the incident.
One trio was arrested a few months ago. One "auditor" was crawling around the bushes at police station or other gov building. And his 2 buddies called in stating he might be planting drugs or bombs or trying to break in. All 3 were eventually arrested.
Most of these auditors are not civil rights activists. They are grifters.

@@Big1nz OK is not kissing an idiots' ass a felony or a misdemeanor?
The cops at no point broke the law. In fact they could have arrested him for failure to ID. Now would it have gotten kicked. Probably. Could they have arrested him. Taken him before a magistrate. Or booked him as a John Doe until they arrested him.
As a small town is it likely they don't have a fingerprint machine or its "broken" allowing them to hold him for hours or days as a John Doe?
Is it likely they would have gotten away with that?
The answer is yes. These cops were not that bad.

Omg this is painfully accurate! You can recognize familiar risk calculation in their gaze - throw a tantrum, resort to violence, or something never ever done, submit to someone more mature? You can see how they calculate with the knowledge shit is on camera and that they, police, shouldn't be handled one versus three AND LOSE SPECTACULARLY. I can see the instinct of violence when they realize how stupid he makes them look. I watched one vid like that, years ago, and at moment I never again questioned the "police officer shoots a black man in daylight for nothing and gets away scot free". But this proofs they're not children - they're the children with self control. Otherwise, they'd shoot everyone, not just black people. They know what they can get away with. These people are exactly what prisons what created for. That's the precise type of a person criminology looks to investigate. I am serious, part of my degree was criminology. These people are closer to criminals they're supposed to be arresting than anyone else they encounter, even violent, because of how consequences are dispatched to both.

If the majority of cops are good, decent, and honest, then how do the "few bad apples" operate so blatantly and often without running into any type of opposition? You sure right !!! However the phone just keeps ringing and they got more exposure than they could imagine. They going to learn something in Pooler . Just hope that they learn a lesson and modify their behavior for the better . I'll bet that they just drag their knuckles in more places than I care to describe though . Auditors are renting cars and heading out there I imagine.

It's too bad that this is necessary in today's 1930's Germany, I mean 2020's America, but cops here seem to have no clue about their boundaries.

When police can point to their precinct and say "this is private property," you know they are not here to serve and protect the public; they are serving and protecting themselves.
