    👋 Who are we?
Hi my name is Robin and I'm no different than you. A few years ago I started learning salsa. After struggling for a while I found some great mentors and the rest is history. Now I travel the world dancing, teaming up with amazing teachers and creating Dance Dojo - the deeply detailed online dance lessons I wish I had when I started. My goal is to help as many of you reap the same rewards I've been lucky enough to experience through dance. Join me if you'd like to meet amazing new people, leave stress behind, connect to music in a whole new way and feel more alive. Life only gets more colourful - just take the first step.
One last request: if you enjoyed this, please leave me a comment, like & subscribe - it REALLY helps the channel grow. Thank you for watching and I’ll see you in the next video.

I like the idea of "fill in the beats"! Now, as already said, Salsa is not only about 123-567-, so at this point, I'm missing more examples of stepping on all the beats or other combinations or movements (remember the "dancing like idiot" video? We shouldn't forget what dancing is about when we dance to Salsa music) - at least you show the step-touch with steps on the downbeats and taps on the upbeats, but there is much more of course, like doing the break to the same direction in consequent bars for example. You also do always start with the left foot on the one, which is of course only half of the truth, as the right foot is just as good ;-) It's understandable if you want to focus on "breaking on 1", but it wouldn't hurt to give a hint that we can do the break on any of the beats and get other rhythmic patterns apart from 123-, like -234, 1-34 or 12-4 using the same movement dynamics. Why do I say all that? Because it seems to me that we are leaving at this point the introduction into dancing to Salsa music and instead of that, we are entering the introduction to dancing a specific step pattern. Which, for fact, is neither the beginning, nor the end of Salsa dancing.
