Once you can find the beat in salsa and find the 1, it's time to practicing dancing to it. This Fill in the Beats game helps you practice dancing on beat, while challenging you to dance on your own, and then allows you to verify if you stayed on beat.

Few times on transits I had a hard time to stay on beat, but tried to listen and feel the music and it went pretty smooth the second time I've listened to it. :) I am really getting better with every new video and I feel it. Thanks, Robin!

I still get lost with the 1 time to time and end up being on 5 instead of 1, but I am getting the count on all the different step sets. Thanks Robin!
Awesome Carole! It's normal to mix up the 1 and 5 sometimes, since they are similar (it's just the melodic or asymmetrical phrases you hear that allow you to tell the difference). Keep it up! -Robin

I have a question hopefully you can help me. When I'm doing shines do I need to keep the same rhythm of quick quick slow? I have gone through your series a few times and am just learning the timing and rhythm thanks to you and your amazing video

A journey to get to know my body, to step out of my comfort zone and dance my heart away. I never imagined that I had the ability to learn how to move let alone execute shines from watching videos.
