Risen Valstrax Is A Whole Different Beast In Monster Hunter

- With the release of title update 3 we got this new fearsome monster with 'Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax' and this is my first attempt on the jet boi himself. Hope you enjoy.

Oh great, they gave the alatreon set bonus to risen valstrax! That's pretty poetic considering TU4 of iceborne was ice and dragon (frostfang barioth and alatreon), and we have TU4 sunbreak be ice and dragon (velkhana and risen valstrax) again. I wonder if this coincidence means we get the sunbreak final boss TU5?

My first tu3 impresions is that for raw builds weapons can't have extra element due to the new weapon qurio crafting system giving weapons with only raw 15 more raw, and that velkhana is really good for greatsword. Oh and that risen crimson glow is insanely hard and the anomaly risens will be hell

just because one meta was released, that doesn't mean others are now obsolete. like for chainsaw charge blade, doing impact is still way more viable, it was actually more viable outside of speed runners even when it came to element dere because you had a really good chance to faint. this new skill, it helps grounded SAED catch up because you can use furious on red scroll, you don't have to worry about health drain from dere.

I never really practiced a lot Valstrax in the first place. I love this monster but his spinning move. I always get hit by this. You were brave to go with your IG!

A simple way to dodge his spin attack, specially with an IG, is going in the air, you can just jump over it and punish as soon as he's done. As for the new enhanced spin, same thing applies, you just gotta stay up longer, which isn't much of a problem.
I thought it would have and aerial hitbox
@@eawavy2316 Fortunately it's not one of those attacks where you're hit by the air way above it, it's pretty consistent with the animation in my experience
@@guillermomarini9614 dude it's a blessing he doesn't aim that enhanced wing stab directly at you compared to the regular wing stabs that would be so brutal 😭 he's like the only monster that can fight you in the air easily too
Hmmm ill have to try it, i figured its just another attack that looks like you can jump over it, but you'll get hit anyway.
Aerial attack with circle is very effective because his wings are a great weak spot
I haven't had so much fun in a hunt since Raging Brachy.
Ah yes bro surprisingly I only carted once. (Ofc having the trusty twins does help)
when valstrax did the extra bombs during ambush I was like, oh my cawd. totally worth the grind for element sets though. im in heaven as a cb player rn being able to alternate between that and other things like blast/powder mantle impact css.
CB definetely been winning a lot with these updates haha.
Lol, the twins really are the big sisters for this game. Any monster you’re having trouble with, they’ll literally carry the fight. I’ve yet to beat R Valstrax myself though all my previous tries were online and people just kept getting one shot by him.
They do be a little bit strong.
@@Pyrac even if they aren't, they still gave so much buffs from Hunting Horn it's ridiculous lol

I literally bought the dance move just to dance with them post battle o7. they are an amazing duo when you give them both hh.
I feel like Valstrax is everyone's problem monster. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit one of my big problems is Azuros. For some reason I can never read his attacks. Apex Azuros kicked my ass many times in base Rise
Arzuros is a monster in master rank dont feel too bad.
Arzuros is actually a really solid monster, they’re just usually held back by the stats that come with being early game fodder. However, remove that limitation, and they skyrocket in difficulty far more than most other monsters.

Dont think im the right person to be giving an IG guide xD im just using carry over experience from world hence all the ground combos.
