This Project is finished! Well i still have to do the stainless steel Gately/SMD logos (see a few video's back) but i didn't want to drive back to the shop on a Sunday in all this terrible weather. I will finish that part this week and maybe post some photo's on my IG channel instagram.com/meade916 . For the most part this chapter is over and now i can just sit back and enjoy. Which we really do! This really came out great. The "in your face bass" yet, very effortless and clean bass is just hard to describe. Both these subs combined are almost 14 12" subs so you know what they say, no replacement for displacement! Thanks again to Gately Audio and crew! Also, i am always looking for good 4k ultra preferably with Dolby Atmos movies. Leave a suggestion i might check it out!
I've been watching your content for the last decade and words can't describe how much I appreciate your attention to detail and the level of craftsmanship in everything you do! Your passion is inspirational, keep up the phenomenal work Steve!
Normally when I see a sound system with the sub(s) on display or all the speakers setup symmetrically, I think this person doesn't know how sound works. But having subs this BIG, I think you could have them on top of the roof and it'll still blow you away. Your system looks killer! I've enjoyed watching the build. 👏👏
I hope your house is well built. I have 4 Cerwin Vega VS-150s, each pair ran in Parallel down to 2ohm on a Yamaha MX-1000 amplifier and they actually rattle my house apart. I have to drive nails back in the walls and ceiling constantly. I couldnt even imagine what a pair of 33s would do. Im an Electronic System Technician and let me tell ya, you do beautiful work, Brother. Damn nice work. Keep it up and Drive on!
Sadly I couldn’t experience something like that myself. Could you tell me how it feels if you lean against the wall? Do you feel the vibrations in them?
The "plaster boards" in his ceiling will come down soon enough..... bulbs will keep breaking and he will have to change to leds throughout his home.... Thats the cost of a pair of 33" twins 🤪🤣😂
I just want you to know Steve that as a grown adult you are my hero! Sound has always been the echo in my mind ever since a child. I'm always astounded by the new levels you seek and then still always looking beyond. This system for sure is on my "wish I could" bucket list to hear. Maybe if you turned it up loud enough I'll still get a glimpse all the way from Scotland!
Yes! That's actually the exact song that my friend in college smoked the voice coils in his speakers out with when we were blasting it one day, lol! We were like; "what's that smell??!"... "Woah, wait a minute! Holy crap!"... Those were the good ol' days, lol!
I haven't seen 33" subs before. If we needed something more than 18" we switched over to inducers. (Drivers without cones to move air.) These would be through bolted to building elements such as floor or walls. The whole element then would become the "speaker". Some of the units could have up to a 4" stroke!
Might as well get one of those industrial hammer drills that dig up roads and glue that on the wall as an "inducer"...... thats farrrrr tooooo muchhhhhhhhh..... 😳🤪👀💥
That sounds REALLY good in the bass range, I bet! Cerwin Vega makes some good woofers and subs! Now imagine; what about having a theater room with a total of around 9-10 square meters (or around 100 square feet or 10' × 10') of air moving subwoofer piston area?! THAT has always been a dream goal of mine ever since I was a teenager, but that means almost 16000 square inches of air moving piston area, (just to make it an "easy" number to work with and divide up into multiple subs of like 4 × 4000 square inches each, or 16 × 1000 square inches each, or something similar, with one to 4 multiple driver subs for each corner or rather each wall of the room, etc., depending on how you designed it), however that amount of total air moving piston area would require a LOT of woofers to achieve! Not very practical from a cost and space and complexity standpoint, unfortunately! (Still maybe someday I will aim for something close to that if I ever get to build my dream home with a custom home theater room in it.)
When you said "clean effortless bass" I could only try to imagine the amount of impactful bass inside your home from that much cone area. What a sick one of a kind home theater / music sett-up you have Steve.

All of that for Netflix…
all of this for whatever i want to use it for. Netflix has all the formats including Dolby Atmos...something your receiver probably doesn't recognize so you wouldn't know LOL
I just came across this video and my mouth drop when I seen those 33" subwoofer. I was just watching some videos with my home system I have and when you said turn your system up to feel your. Brother my room started shake and my dog was sitting next to me was like dad why is the couch vibrating lol... Great set up I can't imagine how amazing your system is. Good job on your amazing system. Sorry for texting a book lol...
thanks Roger :)
@@meade916 No problem brother. Wish I lived closer as your neighbor I'd love to see it lol. I've had a pretty good system since I was 16 but it's time to upgrade but not 100% what to go with as a system where I can build it up. I have a set of 12 " Vegas that I have had since 1995.lol. Good luck on all you do 👊!!
Se com as minha "caixas de abelha" meus vizinhos já me odeiam, se eu tivesse algo parecido já teriam, no mínimo, me corrido do condomínio, ou até ateado fogo na minha casa comigo dentro.
I'm running two RCF 9007's in my home theatre for low end, I wonder how they'd stack up against these I'm guessing louder, but not as deep . This is a killer system! Love it.
I can't stop laughing =) They put effort into the sound but the TV is some $500 50 inch crap. No more money to upgrade to TV 😂😂🤣🤣
wtf are you talking about dude thats a nice tv.
Says right in the video that it's an 85" Sony Bravia. I'm sure it isn't a cheapo POS.
It's an 85" Sony Bravia. Top of the line at the time of purchase and still is. Post up a video of your setup champ, so we can all get a serious laugh 🤣🤣🤣
@@meade916audio system is so huge that it dwarfs the TV and makes it look tiny 😂
I cant imagine how much you scored to have wife approval on this madness
Nice job but total over kill for the room.
nah not overkill at all.
@@meade916 "Not overkill at all" Well to start, your speakers are right up against the wall........ I will never understand car audio guys
@@niccster1061 where are they supposed to be? in the middle of the living room? You guys say the dumbest shit i swear.
@@meade916 nah they want you to make it float from the ceiling lmao. anyways it ain't even overkill. I bet movies hit different now
You, being an audio guy, just affirmed my love of Klipsch home systems. . . , but yes you need this size sub to balance the horns.
The amount of these haters in the comments... Jesus fcking christ he can do whatever he wants, his money and his house.
clowns bro. That is how you know your channel is big though when you get a bunch of nonsense from a bunch of nobody's. LOL
