This Project is finished! Well i still have to do the stainless logo (see a few video's back) but i didn't want to drive back to the shop on a Sunday in all this terrible weather. I will finish that part this week and maybe post some photo's on my IG channel / meade916 . For the most part this chapter is over and now i can just sit back and enjoy. Which we really do! This really came out great. The "in your face bass" yet, very effortless and clean bass is just hard to describe. Both these subs combined are almost 14 12" subs so you know what they say, no replacement for displacement! Thanks again to Gately Audio and crew!
Thanks again to my good friend Bobby Gately who collabbed with me on this project. Always an honor to get to walk around his shop like i think i know somebody or something. Thanks to the entire crew!

Wow man that setup straight up slams!! Humor us with the intro of Edge of tomorrow….
we need a lexus update vid . man i remember the first isf show the new subs some old stuff
That's probably more bass potential than in a movie theater
Top gun maverick and the first movie!👍🤘
@@haydenpryor2494 of course it is , movie theaters suck now , I remember in the 90’s the bass shook everyone now it just straight suck
Turn it up, go outside, we wanna see the house flex.
LOL, yeah, he'd blow his LR windows out if he actually used these subs to their fullest potential!
I'm sure after you the snow storm.

Somebody didn't watch till the end lol
🤣😅😄
OK ok here we go this is the video i was waiting for !
Sameeeee
I've been watching your content for the last decade and words can't describe how much I appreciate your attention to detail and the level of craftsmanship in everything you do! Your passion is inspirational, keep up the phenomenal work Steve!
Thanks for sharing this build and everything you've done! What an incredible system!
Thanks Chris!!! I wish everything was still the same at Audiocontrol. I miss you guys terribly!
Having cool neighbors, that's what's up💯
Normally when I see a sound system with the sub(s) on display or all the speakers setup symmetrically, I think this person doesn't know how sound works. But having subs this BIG, I think you could have them on top of the roof and it'll still blow you away. Your system looks killer! I've enjoyed watching the build. 👏👏
props to the guy who started my love for big audio all those years ago
With both of the subs there now it doesn't look as ridiculous as I thought it would of been. It actually fits nicely and looks like they belong.
most US homes wouldn't even be able to survive this level of bass lol... nice setup man
I just want you to know Steve that as a grown adult you are my hero! Sound has always been the echo in my mind ever since a child. I'm always astounded by the new levels you seek and then still always looking beyond. This system for sure is on my "wish I could" bucket list to hear. Maybe if you turned it up loud enough I'll still get a glimpse all the way from Scotland!
What's rattling over there...Dude, the entire friggin house...LOL
MAN I would love to watch the boys on that kinda setup came out immaculate 👍
Thunderstruck would sound great on this
Yes! That's actually the exact song that my friend in college smoked the voice coils in his speakers out with when we were blasting it one day, lol! We were like; "what's that smell??!"... "Woah, wait a minute! Holy crap!"... Those were the good ol' days, lol!
I haven't seen 33" subs before. If we needed something more than 18" we switched over to inducers. (Drivers without cones to move air.) These would be through bolted to building elements such as floor or walls. The whole element then would become the "speaker". Some of the units could have up to a 4" stroke!
Might as well get one of those industrial hammer drills that dig up roads and glue that on the wall as an "inducer"...... thats farrrrr tooooo muchhhhhhhhh..... 😳🤪👀💥
@@mohammedisaa9952 It sometimes is too much. With something like that it's really easy to go too far. The poor buildings have to be built for it.
Oh so that's where you get the Marty Mcfly speaker from Back to the Future!
I hope your house is well built. I have 4 Cerwin Vega VS-150s, each pair ran in Parallel down to 2ohm on a Yamaha MX-1000 amplifier and they actually rattle my house apart. I have to drive nails back in the walls and ceiling constantly. I couldnt even imagine what a pair of 33s would do. Im an Electronic System Technician and let me tell ya, you do beautiful work, Brother. Damn nice work. Keep it up and Drive on!
Sadly I couldn’t experience something like that myself. Could you tell me how it feels if you lean against the wall? Do you feel the vibrations in them?
The "plaster boards" in his ceiling will come down soon enough..... bulbs will keep breaking and he will have to change to leds throughout his home....
Thats the cost of a pair of 33" twins 🤪🤣😂
Steve still crushing it. Bro has a $50k+ system in his house with perfect taste
I run 6 Cerwin Vega 15's for my all in one system..
I need a 33" sub I think.😂👍🏻🍺
Steve your system is a beast dude.🇺🇸
That sounds REALLY good in the bass range, I bet! Cerwin Vega makes some good woofers and subs!
Now imagine; what about having a theater room with a total of around 9-10 square meters (or around 100 square feet or 10' × 10') of air moving subwoofer piston area?! THAT has always been a dream goal of mine ever since I was a teenager, but that means almost 16000 square inches of air moving piston area, (just to make it an "easy" number to work with and divide up into multiple subs of like 4 × 4000 square inches each, or 16 × 1000 square inches each, or something similar, with one to 4 multiple driver subs for each corner or rather each wall of the room, etc., depending on how you designed it), however that amount of total air moving piston area would require a LOT of woofers to achieve! Not very practical from a cost and space and complexity standpoint, unfortunately! (Still maybe someday I will aim for something close to that if I ever get to build my dream home with a custom home theater room in it.)
always looking for good 4k ultra preferably with Dolby Atmos movies. Leave a suggestion i might check it out!
Top Gun Maverick is good. Also check out Ambulance. 👍🏻👍🏻
the car race from Ready Player One sounds amazing!
When I was in residential a/v, the movie U-571 was my go-to for testing systems.
Mad Max Fury Road, Ready Player 1 👌
Sam Rami Spiderman, Terminator 2, Jurassic Park and Overlord are a few off the top of my head.
I cant imagine how much you scored to have wife approval on this madness
Admired for your work. They created an amazing company and a lot of amazing devices. All in order to produce masterpieces of the highest quality.
Those subs will shovel your driveway for you when the base hits..
1:40 good dog to have for home protection and just company for your family. Perfect dog in the right hands.
Next up, "Had to sound deaden the whole house!" Lol
Now it’s time for a bigger tv
i'm waiting on the Sony Bravia 100 to be available.
Your system is a thing of beauty, so clean. Big love from the UK 👍
Glad to see this project getting finished. I remember watching your house electrical circuit add-on. Good stuff!
Gettin some Back to the Future vibes with those subs
You can say that again 💯
That poor deaf dog 😂😂😂! Super nice setup! But that dog can’t hear worth a 💩! Love it though!
The audio enthusiast who never slows down and never stops working. We appreciate your content Mr. Meade. Commend you for keeping it 💯 !
This is the most intense home audio build I've ever seen...it's crazy...well done Bro.
thanks V!
Really nice system, with alil bit of placement change, you could achieve even more goodness.
Placement doesn't need to be changed. Thanks anyway though.
imagine watching oppenheimer on this
When you said "clean effortless bass" I could only try to imagine the amount of impactful bass inside your home from that much cone area. What a sick one of a kind home theater / music sett-up you have Steve.
I was smiling the whole time 😁!!! Love it!
It's practical too, when the snow gets built up on the roof, you just fire this system up and thump it off.
that would work if my house was flimsy LOL....too bad it isn't.
That is one bad ass system!
Every time I see those things it makes me think of the opening scene from Back to the Future. LOL
There's something to be said for having that setup in the living room, just being able to chill with the whole family on a moment's notice. Friggin' sweet, man! I can't wait to be done with renovations so I can start really goin' nuts on the A/V setup!
I am assuming that the only answer to "Why?" is "Because we can"
These are absolutely ridiculous and you know what, you enjoy them
not really. The answer is closer to "because i feel like it". Also, because it sounds awesome. And yes, i do enjoy it.
@@meade916 he Steve
About 600 more dogs in that room would dampen it perfect
Neve cease to amaze the new things you introduce to us all Steve , you really do keep your fan base entertained ….kuddos to all your success
Hacksaw Ridge would be a great movie to watch on this setup, love it!
Notification squad 💪🏿.
Damn the subs make the TV look small lol. Time to go bigger 🔥
not really. Still huge. Thanks though.
Wow, just fucking wow... What a killer setup!
thank you sir :)
I love coming back in just to see what insane projects you have going. Living the dream brother, you've earned it.
Now I thought my 7.3 10 inch subwoofers sounded amazing but now I have seen a whole new world of amazing.
That's a kick-ass system man.❤
That is so cool.
Damn Oppenheimer on this gon be next level🥶🥶
Damn!!! that's not a home cinema that's a cinema, period...
A good movie for the sound effects is U-571, the depth charges will chatter your windows at max volume on that beast!
This is what I think of when I hear audiophile. There are handmade speakers with enclosures that are 500k a set I rather have this set up. Congrats . You are the pinnacle of bad ass audio car and home . Nice work
How did that room treatment come out? Love the laser cut foam pattern idea.
i haven't done it yet. Shop has been so busy i don't have a lot of time for the projects i want to do. If i catch a break i will do it as i have a few ideas how it will be and been thinking about it a lot. Almost daily haha
That poor dog….setup is a monster
what about the dog? he is fine. It isn't THAT loud. You guys say the most random shit i swear lol
Everyone: How much bass ya got?
Steve: All of it.
The helicopter scenes in Cliffhanger are a go to for testing your surround channels. It was the first movie mixed to 5.1 (separate rear stage) that was available to a consumer market so they really embellished on the directional capabilities of the new format and wanted everybody impressed so ProLogic would sell and other manufacturers would get on board with standardizing a consumer surround sound format. It steady played on a loop at Circuit City from 93 to 96 lol
no more pushing snow off the roof i guess, just crank it up and play some test tone
Do these not sound sloppy? I feel like those big slow woofers would leave a gap in the impact between like 40-80hz. Not a criticism, just want to know.
these don't sound sloppy at all. They sound amazing.
Bruh those are so clean, That is one of the sickest sub setups i've seen for a home system.
haha, thanks bro 'preciate ya.
I live in the country and can blast 6 12s till dawn and not a peep from anyone. I love it.
Hell of a system!!! Man speechless!!!!
thanks Farook!
@@meade916 Bro, I have been watching your channel and your work for long time and the way you do stuff, really outstanding. Wish to meet you someday. You can say in simple words that I am a big fan of yours... Bro I love your work....
@@farookchowdhury3949 i really appreciate you brother. Thanks so much for that :)
jurassic park footsteps will sound real lol
🙊🙊🙊
Probably puts out 5hz at over 120db no problems. Notice the "live" woofer at 3:49. With me it is just a stereo setup with 2x 10 inch subs.
I got my headphones on and it sounds incredible and it sounds clean and clear, I really like the setup you got going on
GOALS. Congrats from brasil
My wife would have killed me if I did this lol
I guess, your profile picture is of your wife ???? ....... and with an unhappy expression on her face (as you show) im sure your statement is quiet true....
Solution..... loose the wife.
Damn Steve, seeing where you came from years ago when you started this UA-cam adventure to grinding where you are now.
I'm glad I've gotten to see the progress and the fruits of your labor and grind go so well for you and your family.
Such a clean install. You always have your eyes on the littlest details that most people would let slide.
The house is beautiful and now you can shake it to the ground with the biggest sound system I've ever seen in a home audio setup. 👍
thanks slick!
I think its all about dedication and hard work, also being smart.....
He has tapped into a market where everyone wants the best audio gear, and he has invented and marketed his business through utube which has got him a huge fan base, and customers, he also shows his products at displays and shares his channel, which is EXCELENT marketing....
Steve would be the epitome of the "Amwrican Dream" where if you work hard, are honest, show transparency in all that you do professionally, and can see and grasp opertunities, the world is at your feet.........
He will eaisily be a millionaire + with another million + in fixed capital and building ownership....... and considering he started as a "roofer" i believe ?
Respect where it is due....
That shit is clean af cuz bet u can feel it in ur chest when the bass hits last vid I watched was when u put just the sub in place to see how it would somewhat look like
How many amps do one of these take? I'm fixing on putting one in the bed of my truck 🤣
The speaker can handle 5,000watt at duel 1 ohm impedance, so how many amps you think it would take to make that figure up?
Hom many batteries do you think you need to drive that many amps and that speaker?..... how many alternators do you think you need on your vehicle to keep them batteries from going flat in minuites?
Forget about putting a 33" speaker in a vehicle without doing some "research" first..... !
That's incredible well done. If I was single I could pull this off . Guess it's time for a divorce
or if you had a cool girlfriend or wife....mine is the best. She lets me do what i want mostly but she also gets to benefit from it too :)
@@meade916 yeah tell her that lol. Those amps are incredible too nice install !
The beginning of the movie swordfish would be absolutely insane with your setup
This has taken awhile but you can't rush Quality and man that is SICK!
Когда от старой системы оглох и надо что-то погромче!!
Holy Shit this is my wet dream!! i cant imagine how EDM music sounds on this ....
Just as gay as anywhere else.
You've come so far. The journey was a constant hustle from the early days till now. I know the feel when you finally feel like you've gotten a proper place for your self the exact way you envision it without much limitations. ;)
that techmaster brings back some memories, bet that hammered
Made me go sit in my truck and jam some techmaster
Bro you need at least a 98” tv with that wall space and speaker set up 😂. Not bad tho lol
nah not really. It's already an 85" it ain't worth $15k to upgrade 13 more inches. And projectors suck ass so that ain't happening.
@@meade916 You haven't seen the right projectors then.
@@rx7dude2006 yes i have. They are terrible in any room that has a lot of daylight. My living room has a lot of daylight. A projector would be terrible. I dont like a big washed out image, sorry. In a dedicated movie room that can be blacked out they can be good. I know what i am doing here and what is best for my situation . You don't. So settle down champ, i got this.
bigger tv or projector would do u nice with such an expensive setup
can't just go buy a bigger TV than this at the store. Projectors look bad for daily use so no thanks. 85" is a big ass screen don't let your eyes deceive you.
@@meade916 oh no im only saying that ik how much bigger it is I've got a 65 inch but judging your living room ita huge, but fair enough that is fine but compared to the room it looked small even tho i know isn't, wish some guy got me this setup😂mum would go crazy
I had to wipe the drool off and push my jaw back up. Lol.
Man that is a beautiful setup! Thank you Steve!!❤❤
hellz ya thanks George!!
Some of that Phillips hue lighting would be awesome since it changes with the scenes of what you're watching.
House party?
Enjoy what's left of your hearing while it lasts.
hearing is as good as it can be for someone my age. Relax Doc.
One of the best homes here in cali everything is just perfect ! You're the man Steve!
Would be dope to have the subs centered since all that low end information is mono in the center of a mix. You could even make a custom wall enclosing them so just the cones are showing, kinda like a nice trunk setup or pro studios have the walls built around the speakers. A lot of pro studios also have sound absorption up above by hanging an acoustic panel from the ceiling.
nah no need for that. Post up a video of your home system lets see how it's done. The way you are talking you really know your stuff (LMAO). Lets see.
Se com as minha "caixas de abelha" meus vizinhos já me odeiam, se eu tivesse algo parecido já teriam, no mínimo, me corrido do condomínio, ou até ateado fogo na minha casa comigo dentro.
Dirac, Trinnov, GLM, MA1 or whatever Software Correction cant fix untreated Rooms and even if you think it sounds good and youve Deep Clean Bass on the listening position, without treatment there is a lot of potencial to take the sound way more than just one level up. But good that you know how to improve it, there are way too many people out there who put big speakers and subwoofers in untreated empty rooms and dont fix the Acoustics. But one question, why not put one on the front and one on the back and set them up via dsp so you can get fix some Standing Wave problems (topic : Double Bass Array, Single Bass Array etc)
i don't have standing wave problems. Everything sounds great.
@@meade916 impossible without treatment. but when youre happy everything is fine. I have also Ceilings (4m Hight) and i cant wait till the ,,church,, sound get treatment and fixed. No Treatment = no good sound
@@vortekkz_mixes stop. You know nothing about how my system sounds in person. Yes i am happy and you would be too if you had this. So settle down champ. lol SMH
@@meade916 Can you show a room frequency response curve?
@@vortekkz_mixes Don't argue with someone that has no knowledge of room acoustics. They just want to show off their system to impress people that think that putting 2 33inch subs in an untreated room makes a great system. he doesn't care what anyone thinks that opposes what he thinks.
