I bought the Garmin Nuvi 465 Trucker GPS in 2013 (retiring from trucking in 2015) and am still using it flawlessly in my pickup truck to this day. I spent well over $200 for it originally at Flying J in Emporia, Kansas…but, currently Amazon has two left in stock for $149. I’m surprised Garmin hasn’t discontinued this model yet! As I write this comment I’m updating the maps! Needless to say I’ve gotten MORE than my money’s worth! I don’t like stuff hanging in my windshield either, so, I mounted my Garmin directly to the RPM gauge on the dash and ran the power cord accordingly to be hidden…advantage of this is I can look directly to the Garmin without losing sight of the highway in front of me. I've had my rm tnd 500 since 2014 still working now like new since I bought new cords. I also prefer the smaller gps's because I've noticed when I use my larger one it's frustrating and the smaller one I'm like happier. I'm about to upgrade and saw your video thanks I think I'll try the Garmin otr 610. I'm also upgrading my dashcam. Just upgraded my s450xt to a rm cleardryve 220 Skulls, very nice.
It wants to hook up to Wi-Fi to update the software. You can also update the software plugging it into a computer. This will be my third Garmin. I use elevation and grade the most

I don't like a lot of things in my windshield. Also, you're only about arms length from it so visibility is really not a problem. I know that every now and then the dot goes on a tear and starts writing tickets for people putting things in their windshield. But that being said, a lot of people do like the bigger screens I just have a personal preference towards the smaller screens. I know you can get them cheaper online than you can in the truck stop but in the truck stop, the price difference between this screen and an inch and a half bigger is not worth it to me. It's about another $150. They have the exact same program in them. And all in all it's actually really good. If you like the 7-in screen I don't think you would be disappointed.
I'll be honest, I skipped a lot of the video... but if you could answer- Does it let you put in MAX speed? (Like if your rig has a max speed, so it doesn't calculate ETA incorrectly). TIA!
It does show the weight stations. It's very truck friendly and would be more so if I had paired it to the app. It was worth the money but order one online and save a buck
Does this one actually stay in place?? I bought the dezlcam700 series and I had to buy 2 new mounts for it because of the weight wearing down the mount to the point of uselessness 😒
That thing has a lot of features and a companion app for your phone. I only scratch the surface of everything that it does. It's got a lot of impressive features. I hope you like it. I like the one I got
I think this works in conjunction with an app. I know this is a smart unit and a lot of the features are Built-in it. I do know that it is updatable though.

That 465 t was the best garmin gps so on point they ruined everything look at the America today so sad

Its 5 miles when it tells u about state lines. An observation.. You did not do any of the updates.

I didn't have a problem with it. I had it mounted up on the mount it came with and it seemed to do fine.

You have to hookup to your home computer download program and can update software via wifi. I use my cell phone hotspot to update.

It may not be programmed for use in Canada. If you bought it here in the states that's a real strong possibility.
The otr 1000 is by far the best gps
