I’ve been watching since 2018 with the BotW Master Mode series. There are a lot of UA-cam channels I used to watch a lot, then stopped watching forever. This channel, as many times as I temporarily stop watching, I will always come back to this channel because you are such a great creator and you always capture the humor and fun that makes this channel so good. Never quit what you do.
I used to watch this channel during those Breath of the Wild spikes in popularity, I used to really love those and I watched them a whole lot, but that was a few years ago now, and I was a bit younger then than I am now, obviously. Those videos were really entertaining to my younger self, but over time I stopped being interested in zelda that much, and I honestly haven't participated in it at all even with Tears of the Kingdom's release, I hardly know anything about that one to be honest. But I've been subscribed for a long time, despite falling off watching your channel years ago, not because I disliked the content, but because I fell off zelda, which is the main reason I came there for. But now that all of that is over, I still think there's a huge bunch of value in your other non-zelda content, because like you said, you shouldn't be labled as a Zelda youtuber because of UA-cam. All I can hope is that UA-cam will finally start recommending your videos, cause regardless of what it is you do, you're really entertaining. I wish you the best Mr A-Game, you were one of my favourite youtubers back then and I hope you'll make a comeback despite UA-cam's garbage algorithm!
I’m exactly what you described. I only watch your Zelda content and I haven’t been lately. I think you nailed the reason why. I still enjoy TotK content, but it needs a fresh take to grab my attention. It also needs a thread of tension. A feeling of will or won’t it work. I think that why I like the straight line challenges. It requires consistent problem solving. Those are hard. Perma death in ToTK isn’t really all that hard so there isn’t any tension when watching it. Despite being in the Zelda bubble, I encourage you to continue to play other games. You need to do what you love and be authentic. I think your viewership will go back up if you can create scenarios that keep us on our seat wanting us to watch to the end to see if you made your goal.

I’ve been watching you since 2020 during Covid I started playing a lot of Zelda and then I started watching tutorials, and Zelda videos. I was enjoying that, and then when we weren’t on lockdown I started watching other UA-camrs but still watched you I was loving gaming videos and that’s what I loved doing. When Tears of the kingdom came out I stayed up all night waiting to just play the game I loved playing it for the first time. I still lay it to this day and same with breath of the wild but as I am still watching you I’ve noticed that you have been doing a lot of series out once and I really like, but sometimes I feel like it’s hard to keep up with 3 or 4 series out one time. So in my opinion I would just cut down to maybe like 2 series at a time. I really enjoy watching your videos and I love them very much and I will keep on watching them forever and I want you to know that you’re a great UA-camr!
Your content helped me immensely during a rough patch in my career and early fatherhood, and now my little girl who is almost 5 loves your content and gives us something that we watch together every morning instead of cartoons. Thank you for that! In terms of new content (we’ve honestly cycled through your windwaker playlist 3 times now) we loved watching your Star Wars play throughs and you had one live stream playing Fortnite that actually made me give that game a try. We usually aren’t as into the Mario side scrolling games (we watch anyway!) maybe a series on some older Star Wars games?
Been watching since 2016 and Mario Maker. Overall I've watched very little of your Zelda content. You used to say the goal of your channel was to show kids they could have fun playing games that aren't rated M and it really stuck with me. Some of my favorite series from you have been when you bring in other people: Kirby, Mario Wonder, and Snipperclips! I say keep making content that makes you happy, and I'll tune in as best I can. And I watched Princess Peach and am catching up on the Twilight Princess series right now

Hey A game, I feel like what you're feeling is very understandable to almost everyone, not wanting to be blocked into one thing but things not working out as well as they do when you experiment sounds very frustrating and I can't think of why someone would be okay with that. I love your content and always have since my cousin introduced your channel to me. I have mostly watched your Zelda content and it is my favorite however I love your Mario kart streams and Splatoon videos, or anything else you put out. I'm really just here for you as you are the most wholesome and kind UA-camr I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Hey Mr A Game! So I’ve been watching since the original botw master mode videos and that’s what actually made me ask botw for Christmas that year (I was 9 at the time when that came out). Most people like me are always tuning in when you make videos in the “Zelda bubble” but I also enjoy your odyssey videos as well. No matter what you post people like me WILL watch it.
I started watching you since the whole Covid-19 pandemic started. Started with the Botw stuff and Master Mode was amazing, that I started watching while I was in class online- Everyone was asking why I was laughing so hard. I joined this channel when I discovered your botw randomizer videos, but that is not why I stayed. Sure I love Zelda, but I’ve also watched your Splatoon, Mario, and other videos as well and I just love the way you play and make your videos. I’m currently going through a Zelda burnout, which is why I don’t watch the twilight Princess videos right now. Maybe one day when my burnout is gone, but right now I’m waiting for the next Mario galaxy peoples challenge. I can’t say much about the Home Screen because I’m rarely on the Home Screen, I often get too many spoilers for games and movies I enjoy so I just avoid it altogether. I believe that you are a great UA-camr, I believe that this is your channel and you should be able to decide what it should be known for, and I hope to see many more fun videos in the future ❤❤❤
I’m not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but sometimes I simply don’t get the notification that your videos come out. I have to manually go to your channel and look at most recently uploaded to see your videos. It’s not just your channel that does this, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had the same problem
Love how positive you are. You make it easy to relax after stressful days at work and just enjoy some quality fun content. You are refreshing compared to a lot of the gaming UA-cam and I wish the algorithm would reward that
I've been a fan since around the 2020 lockdown and love watching all of your content even though it was the BoTW videos that brought me to the channel in the first place. Since you mentioned it in the vides: I do see your videos on my front page when they are released but I've noticed that whereas every Zelda video is definitely on the front page, all other gameplay videos are only SOMETIMES on the front page for me. I often only find out about them if I go to your page specifically. I really hope that somehow YT just becomes more clear on what they want UA-camrs to do as it seems like it's shrouded in mystery for you all to kind of figure out. I really hope you continue with more videos with Steph and J.P. as it really shows a bit more than just game playing, but also the love and friendship. Keep going! We love your work and fun!

Years ago, I saw your channel on my home screen (in Canadian lockdown mid winter, maybe the internet works if it doesn't freeze over) and by that you had alot of content that I put the playlist on, found you were live yet I wasn't that far along watching. I'm a big Zelda fan and don't get me wrong I love the storylines and the games entire levels of fun but I'm a gal that really wants to play that new chibi style actual Zelda game that is coming out, so you're not disappointing me! I watch games here I'd probably never experience if you weren't playing, I'm a long time game player viewer! I'm just a BIG Nintendo fan! I wish it was on my home page if I started a new account but this is north America.
TL;DR: you're doing great and we love it, keep it up! Like a lot of folks, we found you through Zelda as we were getting excited about TotK. BUT, we've continued to watch because your content is so much fun and my kids think you're hilarious. You're fun and family-friendly, which I really appreciate. Honestly my wife and I often enjoy the videos almost as much as the kids. We've watched a lot of your stuff, including going back to some of the older videos. My kids actually really enjoy the Mario Maker videos - I guess they get a kick out of watching you suffer? Sorry about that. For my son, his viewing is tied very closely to a game he's into - and he is still on a Tears kick. If/when he braves Mario or Mario Maker, I know we will find that playlist. He loves the *mix* of let's play and tutorial. You pausing and reading dialog with cutscenes, or briefly explaining the button combos you use for more advanced movements, help immensely. And is so appreciated. We also love longer streams for in-depth game stuff, but this may be very zelda-specific with Korok hunting videos. Your videos show up for us - but, if this helps, it's often a random older video that shows up on our home, not necessarily the most recent chronologically. I hope this helps. May come back and say more. Your content is fantastic and the standard we use for quality gaming content for our family.

Heyo, Mr. A! YES. I am getting your videos listed on my home page and subscription page. I've been getting them and hope it doesn't stop anytime soon. I would also be interested in your BotW/TotK theory. Maybe do the same challenge but with different tags and see if your prediction is true-I'll probably watch both multiple times. I totally understand the UA-cam struggle against the numbers. I consider for myself anything over five views successful; I know what it's like to put your heart and soul into something and not have people enjoy it as much as you. Stay strong though. You got this. Also some ideas maybe to get those gears turning-I know these may be outdated or out of pocket, but I'd be curious to see how you bring the A-Game flair to these: ~top 10s-it could be anything from favorite Zelda items, Mario items, Kirby abilities, your favorite Nintendo LEGO sets, etc. ~have someone who doesn't know much about a certain game do a blind playthrough-kinda like how some people watch reaction channels to feel like they get to watch something for the first time again or with a friend ~do some collabs-nothing crazy, but seeing more Basement or dannydinosaur again would be fun ~what would your perfect game be? Perfect Mario game? Kirby game? ~looking back at some of your videos to see how far you've come ~do a price is right with video game items with a group of friends ~do an updated studio and/or collection tour ~go over different techniques you've found-pros and cons of each-like editing software, gaming consoles, stuff like that ~things you'd add to Super Nintendo World ~more chill videos like this to see how things are going ~make your own Nintendo version of board games: Pictonary, Apples to Apples, Cards Against Humanities, Scattergories, Guess Who ~if anyone else is reading comment below any other ideas too! The more the merrier! Things you're killing it in: ~trying new content eventhough you don't know if it'll sink or swim ~involving your audience-while you are a family friendly channel-I as an adult love seeing interactions like these (thanks for taking my Mario challenge request) ~being family friendly and open with your audience ~fun edits-my brain also emotes in memes so seeing someone else speak fluent meme-even if they aren't super well known, is great ~not being afraid to ask questions like in this video to try and see it from a different perspective ~just being you ~this list could go on, but I'm sure you've got other things to do than keep reading this. I watch your channel with my three boys, and we love watching all of your videos. They get excited when you are playing any new game and love to start a journey with one of the playlists, so we do see the algorithm presenting us with all of your videos in the first couple of recommended spots no matter what game it is for. I don't love saying it, but I wonder if it's really a Nintendo issue... I would imagine when new hardware comes out and new games are scheduled for release the rebound will be big. I saw a Zelda video and kept watching and eventually looked into your channel and saw the other videos that I really enjoyed. Some of them are actually above most zelda videos for me. Sorry I'm late, I've been behind on a lot of things recently. To answer your questions: 1) I see your videos on the subscription page (the rest of the URL after the domain is /feed/subscriptions for those who've never seen it), I never look at the home page lmao 2) Yeah, mostly. Some of the nonzelda stuff isn't interesting (I'd say like 50/50), but the TotK permadeath run in particular is just about the only Zelda series I've not been interested in (I like to see people trying things they're unsure of, and permadeath runs tend to lean towards not taking risks, which is rarely fun for me). But almost every other zelda series you've done since I subscribed (and several others before then) I've watched I think. 3?) I imagine a BotW video could bring some people out of the woodworks... for a bit. But after two or three I expect the numbers would go back down to what you're seeing right now, give or take. I'm sorry for contributing to the zelda bubble effect, I know it's not fun having your fans be pushing for content you don't enjoy or not engaging with content you do enjoy - been there myself as a webnovel author, on a much smaller scale. Had to get out of there and start anew under a different name on another site.
1. Yes your videos do show up for me on my home feed, but we do watch and rewatch and rewatch and rewatch your old videos. I always watch with my children, and we aren’t into the darker games, so when you are on a game we don’t feel comfortable with, we rewatch your older videos. I know for channels that I view less frequently, even though I have the bell tagged, those videos don’t always show up for me and I have to manually go to the channel. So you are right about the algorithm. 2. Play games you enjoy, and enjoy the games you play. That’s the thing that makes the difference for me. You actually enjoying yourself is the best way to make sure this is a Mr A Game channel and not a Zelda channel. For what it is worth, I can’t see us ever not watching your channel, and if you do ever “retire”, we will be faithful rerun watchers! 3. Just an idea…when novelty runs out for new games, switch to nostalgia. I love me some cult classic games.

So if I were to make any suggestions, and if you're willing to take any of them, I'd say maybe do some more collaboration with another channel like The Basement, or something. I think Ted and Peter are kinda in a Zelda bubble too and I've already told them that they should do some more collaboration with you!! I've always enjoyed the Basement/A-Game collabs and I feel like more of those would be more than welcome on UA-cam. Another suggestion, and I'm just throwing this out there because I have doubts and you might be reserved with this specific game, and that is Minecraft. Hear me out, there's a new update and going off of the earlier suggestion, maybe collab with the Basement and take on the new trial chamber!! As for the Zelda bubble, I being a long time, hard core, Zelda fan feel comfortable with Zelda bubble, not gonna lie, but maybe you could do a comparison series for BOTW and TOTK. You know, BOTW Death Mountain vs TOTK Death Mountain, BOTW Eventide Island vs TOTK Eventide Island, BOTW shrines vs TOTK shrines, etcetera etcetera. Do a comparison series just like that, no depths and no sky (except for the beginning of TOTK of course). Outside of said bubble I do enjoy the Live Mario Kart, I actually got to play it with you online a couple times. Then there's Mario Maker 2, people have been recently showing that game some love as well. Also I'm not suggesting bringing back the mail videos . . . . or am I??? BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
I came to this channel at a time before lockdown. It was a great time, I was around 8 years old and I had just got the switch as my first console so this channel had the perfect niche for me, as much as a still love nintendo, the prime of the switch has been and gone and I have moved onto more mature games. I think the switch two will be great for your career as a whole new generation of Nintendo fans will be marketed to the new era of nintendo and then directed to this channel.
I feel for you man - it's one of the dangers of your passion becoming your job. I'd love to say "do what you want and makes you happy!", but there's also the "I gotta pay off the roof" (which I painfully empathize with right now). Personally - I'd say even if it means changes, you have to do what you love. Your enjoyment comes through and is infectious. Your happiness is important to you, to Stepf, to all of us - so truly focus on that first. What will come, will come - this might not last forever. But everything else in your life will be better.

So, after watching this video, I have some things to say. To answer your 2 questions, Yes (to both questions), ever since I finished playing BotW for myself I went searching for a fun UA-camr to watch, and found you. I was thrilled to find that you played other games (like mario), not just zelda. Although BotW got me watching your channel in the first place, your unique sense of humor and the family friendly standards made me want to stay and keep watching other videos. Unfortunately I don't have an answer for the bubble problem. While I was making videos, people only seemed to like 1 thing from my channel, and as soon as I stopped, my channel fell into ruins. Most people who subscribe are only here for the zelda videos, but there are a few (myself included) who will watch every last second of your videos (multiple times) and enjoy it because of you. Your channel has been an absolute joy to watch over these years, thank you for bringing your A-game.

Hi Mr. A! If I can give my thoughts here, I initially subscribed to your channel back years ago when you were making Mario Maker 1 viewer level videos. They made me laugh my socks off especially with all of your reactions and edits, and it was the sticking point for me personally alongside your smash bros amibo challenges. I love LoZ but more as a game to play for myself, not as much for watching let’s play videos. Play 'another crab's treasure' its a really fun souls game combined with more light hearted stuff and combined with like Mario odyssey platforming(also even though its a souls game you can still customise the difficulty settings). Also been subbed since 30k and never got bored of your videos throughout more than half of my life so I just wanted to say thank you so much for making our days better.
I have the same Super Nintendo that my dad did when he was a child and he introduced me to Legend of Zelda Link to the Past. I will watch every one of those videos of your playthrough if you can make one of those playthroughs please.

Agame I started watching you when I was 9 and absolutely love your content. K loved the Mario 3d World Series and even the Kirby with my wife series. So even though I've been more into the Twilight Princess videos lately, it's just that I'm interested and wanted to see if it's good or not. And even while I didn't really find the peach videos very interesting, I'm sure that others really liked them, and I like all of your content. So just keep doing what you're doing, and more will see it the way you see it. Just stay calm, and I'm sure things will get better :)
I feel bad for you, I have noticed that many let’s play UA-camrs are slowly dying out not only on their views, but popularity too. I live your channel even though I haven’t been watching as much as I used to and I’d love to see you do different things other than the legend of Zelda. First of all, I started watching your videos soon after BotW was released and I've been subscribed ever since. I consider you my #1 you-tuber and I really enjoy your content. Q1: I see the occasional video (like this one), but I have had a lot of work/hobbies this year and so the amount of UA-cam I watch has dwindled. I fully intent catching up on the Challenge videos and Twilight Princess when I get more time. Looking through your playlists, there are actually quite a few I might watch (when I get time). Q2: Yes, I've watched most of your Zelda videos, and I did enjoy Splatoon. Any Minecraft videos? That's another niche you could put a couple of videos into. I'll give you a video(s) suggestion. In 2020, Mojang released an April Fools snapshot that had "infinite" dimensions. I'm playing this snapshot and it would be a really cool video/live-stream to do as most dimensions are VERY unique. (note: the occasional dimension has very high lag and might crash the server).

And of course, the subscriptions feed (which I do use) is chronological, so you always show up there. 2. Hi! My son and I have been watching your channel for a few years and we always have a great time! Thank you! We do love your Zelda stuff. But mostly I think we love the vibe you put out, your humor, and your fun edits. We had a lot of fun watching through your Mario Maker and Wonder playlists, and Kart is always a fun stream. Not to suggest you should do more Mario specifically, but we, for two, will tune in for variety in addition to Zelda. All the Algorithm and AI these days can be brutal, and I'm not always sure who it's helping. Alright, I want to say something! I started watching you by the time botw’s DLC came out. I remember that it blew out on the internet, and I really enjoyed it too. UA-cam recommends your videos to me, if they are Zelda related. It is because I watched way more videos of yours when they were about Zelda. I don’t want you to feel obligated to do about whatsoever I am writing, your passion is what prevails, you should do a video about what you feel like doing. I will keep on supporting you. I think you should try other games that may not be Nintendo like, but still games that you feel interested in, of course. Like do a Minecraft server with a bunch of friends, I don’t know if you have tried but Pokemon Nuzloke, go on a No Hesi server with friends and have a good time, etc. That’s what I think you should try, but just keep on doing what you love. I just wanted you to know that I have been watching you for 2 years and you have made my middle school years so much better, but it's been hard to stay updated since your videos have been getting restricted for some reason. But I think you should keep doing what YOU enjoy doing because if your not having fun then the videos are not fun to watch.
I've been following Mr.A for over a year now and I absolutely love the content! For me personally, I do see new videos on my homepage most of the time. Sometimes if I know or suspect there should be a new video coming out but I'm not seeing it on the homepage, I would just go to the channel and check there. And I enjoy watching all of your contents Mr.A even though it is the BOTW series that got me here lol! I think exploring and expanding to other games you want to play would be beneficial! It might be risky but it is a risky worth taking!

Thanks for all the videos you make! I like all your videos, but I personally liked all your randomizer videos and colabs. I think it's because there was a feeling of uncertainty because anything could happen at any time. I’ve been watching since 2018 with the BotW Master Mode series. There are a lot of UA-cam channels I used to watch a lot, then stopped watching forever. This channel, as many times as I temporarily stop watching, I will always come back to this channel because you are such a great creator and you always capture the humor and fun that makes this channel so good.
Never quit what you do.
I used to watch this channel during those Breath of the Wild spikes in popularity, I used to really love those and I watched them a whole lot, but that was a few years ago now, and I was a bit younger then than I am now, obviously.
Those videos were really entertaining to my younger self, but over time I stopped being interested in zelda that much, and I honestly haven't participated in it at all even with Tears of the Kingdom's release, I hardly know anything about that one to be honest.
But I've been subscribed for a long time, despite falling off watching your channel years ago, not because I disliked the content, but because I fell off zelda, which is the main reason I came there for. But now that all of that is over, I still think there's a huge bunch of value in your other non-zelda content, because like you said, you shouldn't be labled as a Zelda youtuber because of UA-cam.
All I can hope is that UA-cam will finally start recommending your videos, cause regardless of what it is you do, you're really entertaining. I wish you the best Mr A-Game, you were one of my favourite youtubers back then and I hope you'll make a comeback despite UA-cam's garbage algorithm!
I’m exactly what you described. I only watch your Zelda content and I haven’t been lately. I think you nailed the reason why. I still enjoy TotK content, but it needs a fresh take to grab my attention. It also needs a thread of tension. A feeling of will or won’t it work. I think that why I like the straight line challenges. It requires consistent problem solving. Those are hard. Perma death in ToTK isn’t really all that hard so there isn’t any tension when watching it.
Despite being in the Zelda bubble, I encourage you to continue to play other games. You need to do what you love and be authentic. I think your viewership will go back up if you can create scenarios that keep us on our seat wanting us to watch to the end to see if you made your goal.

I’ve been watching you since 2020 during Covid I started playing a lot of Zelda and then I started watching tutorials, and Zelda videos. I was enjoying that, and then when we weren’t on lockdown I started watching other UA-camrs but still watched you I was loving gaming videos and that’s what I loved doing. When Tears of the kingdom came out I stayed up all night waiting to just play the game I loved playing it for the first time. I still lay it to this day and same with breath of the wild but as I am still watching you I’ve noticed that you have been doing a lot of series out once and I really like, but sometimes I feel like it’s hard to keep up with 3 or 4 series out one time. So in my opinion I would just cut down to maybe like 2 series at a time. I really enjoy watching your videos and I love them very much and I will keep on watching them forever and I want you to know that you’re a great UA-camr!

In terms of new content (we’ve honestly cycled through your windwaker playlist 3 times now) we loved watching your Star Wars play throughs and you had one live stream playing Fortnite that actually made me give that game a try. Hey Mr A Game! So I’ve been watching since the original botw master mode videos and that’s what actually made me ask botw for Christmas that year (I was 9 at the time when that came out). Most people like me are always tuning in when you make videos in the “Zelda bubble” but I also enjoy your odyssey videos as well. No matter what you post people like me WILL watch it.
I started watching you since the whole Covid-19 pandemic started. Started with the Botw stuff and Master Mode was amazing, that I started watching while I was in class online- Everyone was asking why I was laughing so hard. I joined this channel when I discovered your botw randomizer videos, but that is not why I stayed. Sure I love Zelda, but I’ve also watched your Splatoon, Mario, and other videos as well and I just love the way you play and make your videos. I’m currently going through a Zelda burnout, which is why I don’t watch the twilight Princess videos right now. Maybe one day when my burnout is gone, but right now I’m waiting for the next Mario galaxy peoples challenge. I can’t say much about the Home Screen because I’m rarely on the Home Screen, I often get too many spoilers for games and movies I enjoy so I just avoid it altogether. I believe that you are a great UA-camr, I believe that this is your channel and you should be able to decide what it should be known for, and I hope to see many more fun videos in the future ❤❤❤
I’m not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but sometimes I simply don’t get the notification that your videos come out. I have to manually go to your channel and look at most recently uploaded to see your videos. It’s not just your channel that does this, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had the same problem
Love how positive you are. You make it easy to relax after stressful days at work and just enjoy some quality fun content. You are refreshing compared to a lot of the gaming UA-cam and I wish the algorithm would reward that
I've been a fan since around the 2020 lockdown and love watching all of your content even though it was the BoTW videos that brought me to the channel in the first place. Since you mentioned it in the vides: I do see your videos on my front page when they are released but I've noticed that whereas every Zelda video is definitely on the front page, all other gameplay videos are only SOMETIMES on the front page for me. I often only find out about them if I go to your page specifically. I really hope that somehow YT just becomes more clear on what they want UA-camrs to do as it seems like it's shrouded in mystery for you all to kind of figure out.
I really hope you continue with more videos with Steph and J.P. as it really shows a bit more than just game playing, but also the love and friendship.

Years ago, I saw your channel on my home screen (in Canadian lockdown mid winter, maybe the internet works if it doesn't freeze over) and by that you had alot of content that I put the playlist on, found you were live yet I wasn't that far along watching. I'm a big Zelda fan and don't get me wrong I love the storylines and the games entire levels of fun but I'm a gal that really wants to play that new chibi style actual Zelda game that is coming out, so you're not disappointing me! Like a lot of folks, we found you through Zelda as we were getting excited about TotK. BUT, we've continued to watch because your content is so much fun and my kids think you're hilarious. You're fun and family-friendly, which I really appreciate. Honestly my wife and I often enjoy the videos almost as much as the kids. We've watched a lot of your stuff, including going back to some of the older videos. My kids actually really enjoy the Mario Maker videos - I guess they get a kick out of watching you suffer? Sorry about that. Honestly - and sorry if this is cheesy - we really do enjoy the channel because of you. You're fun to watch and the videos are great. One last thing: Our 6 year-old who was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes last year wanted to watch one of your videos as a distraction when we had to start putting his CGM and insulin pump on him every few days, and it's a tradition that continues, so thanks for the help with that! For my son, his viewing is tied very closely to a game he's into - and he is still on a Tears kick. If/when he braves Mario or Mario Maker, I know we will find that playlist.
He loves the *mix* of let's play and tutorial. You pausing and reading dialog with cutscenes, or briefly explaining the button combos you use for more advanced movements, help immensely. And is so appreciated.
We also love longer streams for in-depth game stuff, but this may be very zelda-specific with Korok hunting videos.

I totally understand the UA-cam struggle against the numbers. I consider for myself anything over five views successful; I know what it's like to put your heart and soul into something and not have people enjoy it as much as you. Stay strong though. You got this.
Also some ideas maybe to get those gears turning-I know these may be outdated or out of pocket, but I'd be curious to see how you bring the A-Game flair to these:
~top 10s-it could be anything from favorite Zelda items, Mario items, Kirby abilities, your favorite Nintendo LEGO sets, etc.
~have someone who doesn't know much about a certain game do a blind playthrough-kinda like how some people watch reaction channels to feel like they get to watch something for the first time again or with a friend
~do some collabs-nothing crazy, but seeing more Basement or dannydinosaur again would be fun
~what would your perfect game be? Perfect Mario game? Kirby game?
~looking back at some of your videos to see how far you've come
~do a price is right with video game items with a group of friends
~do an updated studio and/or collection tour
~go over different techniques you've found-pros and cons of each-like editing software, gaming consoles, stuff like that
~things you'd add to Super Nintendo World
~more chill videos like this to see how things are going
~make your own Nintendo version of board games: Pictonary, Apples to Apples, Cards Against Humanities, Scattergories, Guess Who

I watch your channel with my three boys, and we love watching all of your videos. They get excited when you are playing any new game and love to start a journey with one of the playlists, so we do see the algorithm presenting us with all of your videos in the first couple of recommended spots no matter what game it is for. I don't love saying it, but I wonder if it's really a Nintendo issue... I would imagine when new hardware comes out and new games are scheduled for release the rebound will be big. Sorry I'm late, I've been behind on a lot of things recently. To answer your questions:
1) I see your videos on the subscription page (the rest of the URL after the domain is /feed/subscriptions for those who've never seen it), I never look at the home page lmao
2) Yeah, mostly. Some of the nonzelda stuff isn't interesting (I'd say like 50/50), but the TotK permadeath run in particular is just about the only Zelda series I've not been interested in (I like to see people trying things they're unsure of, and permadeath runs tend to lean towards not taking risks, which is rarely fun for me). But almost every other zelda series you've done since I subscribed (and several others before then) I've watched I think.
3?) I imagine a BotW video could bring some people out of the woodworks... for a bit. But after two or three I expect the numbers would go back down to what you're seeing right now, give or take.
I'm sorry for contributing to the zelda bubble effect, I know it's not fun having your fans be pushing for content you don't enjoy or not engaging with content you do enjoy - been there myself as a webnovel author, on a much smaller scale. Had to get out of there and start anew under a different name on another site.
1. Yes your videos do show up for me on my home feed, but we do watch and rewatch and rewatch and rewatch your old videos. I always watch with my children, and we aren’t into the darker games, so when you are on a game we don’t feel comfortable with, we rewatch your older videos. I know for channels that I view less frequently, even though I have the bell tagged, those videos don’t always show up for me and I have to manually go to the channel. So you are right about the algorithm.
2. Play games you enjoy, and enjoy the games you play. That’s the thing that makes the difference for me. You actually enjoying yourself is the best way to make sure this is a Mr A Game channel and not a Zelda channel. For what it is worth, I can’t see us ever not watching your channel, and if you do ever “retire”, we will be faithful rerun watchers!
3. Just an idea…when novelty runs out for new games, switch to nostalgia. I love me some cult classic games.

I watch all content, unfortunately I'm only one person so it doesn't make much of a difference. So if I were to make any suggestions, and if you're willing to take any of them, I'd say maybe do some more collaboration with another channel like The Basement, or something.
I think Ted and Peter are kinda in a Zelda bubble too and I've already told them that they should do some more collaboration with you!! I've always enjoyed the Basement/A-Game collabs and I feel like more of those would be more than welcome on UA-cam.
Another suggestion, and I'm just throwing this out there because I have doubts and you might be reserved with this specific game, and that is Minecraft. Hear me out, there's a new update and going off of the earlier suggestion, maybe collab with the Basement and take on the new trial chamber!!
As for the Zelda bubble, I being a long time, hard core, Zelda fan feel comfortable with Zelda bubble, not gonna lie, but maybe you could do a comparison series for BOTW and TOTK.
You know, BOTW Death Mountain vs TOTK Death Mountain, BOTW Eventide Island vs TOTK Eventide Island, BOTW shrines vs TOTK shrines, etcetera etcetera. Do a comparison series just like that, no depths and no sky (except for the beginning of TOTK of course).
Outside of said bubble I do enjoy the Live Mario Kart, I actually got to play it with you online a couple times. Then there's Mario Maker 2, people have been recently showing that game some love as well. Also I'm not suggesting bringing back the mail videos . . . . or am I??? BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
I like the idea of BOTW and TOTK comparison videos!
I came to this channel at a time before lockdown. It was a great time, I was around 8 years old and I had just got the switch as my first console so this channel had the perfect niche for me, as much as a still love nintendo, the prime of the switch has been and gone and I have moved onto more mature games. I think the switch two will be great for your career as a whole new generation of Nintendo fans will be marketed to the new era of nintendo and then directed to this channel.
I feel for you man - it's one of the dangers of your passion becoming your job. I'd love to say "do what you want and makes you happy!", but there's also the "I gotta pay off the roof" (which I painfully empathize with right now). Personally - I'd say even if it means changes, you have to do what you love. Your enjoyment comes through and is infectious. Your happiness is important to you, to Stepf, to all of us - so truly focus on that first. What will come, will come - this might not last forever. But everything else in your life will be better.

I started watching you because of Mario Maker. I’m sad you don’t make as many of those anymore. But then my girls really enjoyed your Princess Peach series.

So, after watching this video, I have some things to say.
To answer your 2 questions, Yes (to both questions), ever since I finished playing BotW for myself I went searching for a fun UA-camr to watch, and found you. I was thrilled to find that you played other games (like mario), not just zelda. Although BotW got me watching your channel in the first place, your unique sense of humor and the family friendly standards made me want to stay and keep watching other videos.
Unfortunately I don't have an answer for the bubble problem. While I was making videos, people only seemed to like 1 thing from my channel, and as soon as I stopped, my channel fell into ruins. Most people who subscribe are only here for the zelda videos, but there are a few (myself included) who will watch every last second of your videos (multiple times) and enjoy it because of you. Your channel has been an absolute joy to watch over these years, thank you for bringing your A-game.

Hi Mr. A! If I can give my thoughts here, I initially subscribed to your channel back years ago when you were making Mario Maker 1 viewer level videos. They made me laugh my socks off especially with all of your reactions and edits, and it was the sticking point for me personally alongside your smash bros amibo challenges. I love LoZ but more as a game to play for myself, not as much for watching let’s play videos. I’ve still been keeping up with your channel especially when you post updates like this, but I personally miss the Mario Maker and Smash Bros. content. I also really love when you and Steph or another friend play a random game together (like the how not to save lives video had me hysterical!).
Anywho that’s my two cents
Play 'another crab's treasure' its a really fun souls game combined with more light hearted stuff and combined with like Mario odyssey platforming(also even though its a souls game you can still customise the difficulty settings). Also been subbed since 30k and never got bored of your videos throughout more than half of my life so I just wanted to say thank you so much for making our days better.
I have the same Super Nintendo that my dad did when he was a child and he introduced me to Legend of Zelda Link to the Past. I will watch every one of those videos of your playthrough if you can make one of those playthroughs please.

Agame I started watching you when I was 9 and absolutely love your content. K loved the Mario 3d World Series and even the Kirby with my wife series. So even though I've been more into the Twilight Princess videos lately, it's just that I'm interested and wanted to see if it's good or not. And even while I didn't really find the peach videos very interesting, I'm sure that others really liked them, and I like all of your content. So just keep doing what you're doing, and more will see it the way you see it. Just stay calm, and I'm sure things will get better :)
I feel bad for you, I have noticed that many let’s play UA-camrs are slowly dying out not only on their views, but popularity too. I live your channel even though I haven’t been watching as much as I used to and I’d love to see you do different things other than the legend of Zelda. Q1: I see the occasional video (like this one), but I have had a lot of work/hobbies this year and so the amount of UA-cam I watch has dwindled. I fully intent catching up on the Challenge videos and Twilight Princess when I get more time. Looking through your playlists, there are actually quite a few I might watch (when I get time).

Any Minecraft videos? That's another niche you could put a couple of videos into. I'll give you a video(s) suggestion. In 2020, Mojang released an April Fools snapshot that had "infinite" dimensions. I'm playing this snapshot and it would be a really cool video/live-stream to do as most dimensions are VERY unique. (note: the occasional dimension has very high lag and might crash the server).

1. I don't use the home page at all, but I think you do show up fairly often in the suggestions below other videos. And of course, the subscriptions feed (which I do use) is chronological, so you always show up there.
2. I suppose I found you through your Big Run video and you haven't made another like that, but I like Mario and I like Zelda, so yes I think you're making what I want to see.

Hi! My son and I have been watching your channel for a few years and we always have a great time! Thank you! We do love your Zelda stuff. But mostly I think we love the vibe you put out, your humor, and your fun edits. We had a lot of fun watching through your Mario Maker and Wonder playlists, and Kart is always a fun stream. Not to suggest you should do more Mario specifically, but we, for two, will tune in for variety in addition to Zelda. All the Algorithm and AI these days can be brutal, and I'm not always sure who it's helping. I subscribed near the start of your channel because of Mario Maker video's. Not perse because of the game, but the personality on the video's was just plain fun. Alright, I want to say something! I started watching you by the time botw’s DLC came out. I remember that it blew out on the internet, and I really enjoyed it too.
UA-cam recommends your videos to me, if they are Zelda related. It is because I watched way more videos of yours when they were about Zelda.
I don’t want you to feel obligated to do about whatsoever I am writing, your passion is what prevails, you should do a video about what you feel like doing. I will keep on supporting you.
I think you should try other games that may not be Nintendo like, but still games that you feel interested in, of course. Like do a Minecraft server with a bunch of friends, I don’t know if you have tried but Pokemon Nuzloke, go on a No Hesi server with friends and have a good time, etc.

I just wanted you to know that I have been watching you for 2 years and you have made my middle school years so much better, but it's been hard to stay updated since your videos have been getting restricted for some reason.
